Chapter 1: Demons in Equestria
Demons in Equestria
The Everfree Forest, one of the most dangerous places in Equestria, and also seen to be a home to many dangerous creatures. However, there is a dark evil lurking within this forest, one that is far more powerful then Nightmare Moon, and holds demons from Tartarus itself. They are dangerous, and anypony would tell you the same.
Over near the castle of the royal twin sisters, a lone figure stood on top of the ruins, one that stood up on two legs, held a wingspan that would put Celestia to shame, and also wore robes that covered everything, even the face. He held a long claymore made of unknown, black metal, which seemed to give off both a blue and red aura. There was also a faint glow of red from his left hand, and a blue glow from his right hand.
The being was known as Dark Angel. Half Demon, half God.
Dark Angel stared out across the Everfree Forest, and spun his claymore before he jumped off the top of the ruins, and his wings flapped a couple times before aiding him in gliding across the large gap that held no bridge. He then landed in front of said forest, and spun his sword around before placing it across his back, and walking forward. He appeared to be unnoticed by the creatures of the night, and even managed to pass by a few Manticores with ease.
Just then he heard a low groan, and looked to the sides, seeing demons beginning to surround him.

This made Dark Angel take a step back, and wrapped his right gauntlet around his black claymore, causing the blade to pulse in blue magic, and shine slightly. Dark Angel didn't move, but instead waited for the other demons to move. Playing the cautious card.
A demon then lunged at him, making Dark Angel pull the blade out within moments, and slice downwards, cutting the head and torso in half, while causing blood to splatter everywhere. This made the other demons roar in anger, and all charged at Dark Angel, who had a smirk hidden under his hood.
...
Dark Angel slowly pulled his claymore out of the last demon, revealing the blade to be covered in blood. This made Dark Angel swipe the blade through the air, sending the blood onto one of the corpses, and then sheathed his blade against his back. And with that, he began walking again, as if unaffected by what just happened. Though he appeared to have blood on some of his robe.
Dark Angel continued through the forest, looking around every once in a while to see if there was something nearby. But there was yet to be anything. The forest was quiet, and the animals seem to have stopped back a ways. This made Dark Angel slowly place his gauntlet on his sword as he continued through the night, before he spotted two more demons ahead of him, two that he knew all too well.

Dark Angel stayed silent as one of the two spoke. "Hmph, if it isn't Dark Angel, a mistake between one of our traitorous allies, and your whore of a goddess."
Dark Angel didn't respond, and simply pulled out his claymore, grabbed it with both hands, and made it glow half red, half blue.
"Relax, you disgrace, we have no intentions of fighting you. We came to warn you."
"Yes. You cannot stop us, for we will be filling Equestria with our forces within 36 years... sure, a bit slow, but we'll turn it into our new home."
Dark Angel spoke in a very deep and almost dark voice. "You are telling me this... why?"
They both snickered. "Because none of the residents of this world will believe you about us. We figured there was no harm in telling someone we... have aided once before."
"Agreed. We owed you one, so we are repaying our debt. This land will be covered in darkness, and you won't be able to save it."
Dark Angel placed the claymore against his back as he began walking, pushed past the two, and ignored them as one called out. "There's no point in continuing, Dark Angel! Just give up already!"
Soon they were too far to be heard, making Dark Angel sigh heavily as he kept pushing forward.
Eventually he came up to what appeared to be the borders of the Everfree Forest, and saw a lone town ahead. This made him smile, and walk towards the town. Once there, he could see where demons once stood, and began hunting them down.
...
Doctor Whooves smiled as the Tardis stopped near Ponyville, then stepped out into the night sky, and looked at Derpy who came out. "Well, here we are. 36 years in the past... why did you want to go here again, Derpy?"
She smiled. "I wanted to see myself as a foal!"
Doctor Whooves chuckled lightly, then narrowed his eyes as he heard a loud crash and something that sounded much like a sword being drawn. This caused him to look towards the town, and went wide eyed upon seeing a strange creature, pinning a kind of monster to the ground, before stabbing it's large claymore into said monster's throat, and twisted harshly.
Doctor Whooves stepped back in shock, never seeing this last time he came here. He wasn't sure what it was, but it was dangerous.
Just then the creature looked at the two, making Doctor Whooves go pale, before the creature threw it's claymore. This made Doctor Whooves go wide eyed, before the blade went over his head, and stabbed into something that gave out a long gurgle.
He looked back to see another of the monsters on the ground, the blade deep in it's throat.
The creature then walked over to the two, pulled the blade out of the monster, then simply glanced at Doctor Whooves, before heading back into town, and attacking one of the nearby monsters.
Doctor Whooves then looked at Derpy. "Maybe it's not such a good idea to be here, Derpy."
"Why?"
"Um... I'll explain once we're gone."
"Um... okay."
The two then got into the tardis, and were gone.
...
Dark Angel finished killing the last demon, and let out a soft sigh as he set the blade against his back again. He looked around the town, and was glad that he could protect it, before thinking of something. This could be where his base of operations would be, but he'd need a way to interact with the other ponies and keep anything hidden.
So, with a few second thoughts, he headed for one of the nearby buildings that were empty, and got to work with making his body. Given his power, and the spells he's been taught, this should be easy.
...Next Morning...
Everypony around Ponyville awoke from their good night sleep, and began to do their daily activities. The town was peaceful and everypony seemed to be happy. Perfect harmony.
In one of the largest buildings nearby, Dark Angel finished his spell and looked over his new body.
It was tall, given the other ones he's seen, and had a black coat with white markings running along it's legs. It's mane and tail were balanced with two separate white stripes, and two separate black stripes. It had a cutie mark of devil horns with a halo over them, and had a horn that was pure white. Should do for now. So without a second thought, he entered the body, and made it open it's eyes, revealing a single red iris with the other being a blue iris.
Dark Angel sat up in his body, and had it scratch it's ear a little, before looking into the mirror, slightly displeased that the two eyes didn't fit, but he will have to go with it.
He climbed out of the bed he was working on, and headed downstairs, where he soon found a key to the front door, and headed outside, locking the door behind him, and headed off into the crowd, who all didn't seem to even notice anything strange about him.
Years...
Year 1
Dark Angel's Journal
Just arrives to this land, this Equestria, and I find this place to be... peaceful. It seems
like a good place to settle down. There are many families around here, some of which are raising
foals that appear so young. I'm glad I decided to stay here and keep the demons hidden from them.
Wonder if there are any foals up for adoption...
No, that's crazy, I got too much to worry about to do something like that. Such a thing should be
left to the mortals. I need to figure out where to begin hunting down Demons, and go from there.
Year 2
Been a year now, and I've taken out a good amount of demons near the town.
They seem to be getting stronger and sending in worse demons. Not good, so I need to
keep an eye out for any of the ponies acting differently.
Turned out today was one of the foal's birthdays, he was a cute little guy, a red colt who
was a member of the Apple Family. I think his name was Macintosh, pretty cute, and quite
silent too, reminds me of myself as a child.
This place, it's nice, and full of happiness. Good to be in such a wonderful place at day time
while hunting demons at night.
Year 3
The night was silent today, like there were no demons nearby. I fought with a few of
the demons outside, and even protected a little foal from them. She was cute, but she seemed
to be confused upon seeing me. Had to give her one of the blessings I knew so she'd see me.
I think she smiled when I did.
I know that was against the rules my Mom and Dad told me, but I couldn't help it, she deserved
to know what was going on, and it's not like she'll remember when she grows up, right?
Dad used to tell me that since I was part god, I would have most likely had these feelings, so it
wasn't much of a surprise, hope he understands. But for now I got a few more things to do.
Like finding those two from when I arrived.
Year 4
Third year, and I still haven't found those two. Too much going on to actually find them,
and with more of those demons arriving across Equestria, I couldn't be bothered with it. The world
is changing, but the ponies don't know it, and think everything is okay. I don't know how I should do
this, and the fact that there are rips in time appearing around also, makes me know the demons
from back home are here as well.
I also ran into a pony today, I didn't get his name, but he was grey, wore a bow tie, and also seemed
to have a black mane and tail. He was confused upon seeing me, saying something about me never
being here before. I asked him what he meant, but his only response was a sigh, and a 'nevermind'.
I don't know who he was, but he seemed quite strange.
I should probably get ready for any new demons now, because they're beginning to come in by hordes.
Year 5
Life is becoming more difficult here. Ponies are beginning to suspect me about something, and
they look at me as if I had done something wrong. I don't know what's going on, that is until that little filly
I saw a couple years ago found me. She asked if she knew me from somewhere, which I denied, and she
said I must have had the same eyes as somepony she once met long ago.
After that, she began to follow me all around Ponyville, asking me questions about what I did for a living
and where I lived. I told her my day job, which was at the blacksmiths, and explained that I lived at the
house near the Library. She seemed interested, and also talked about stuff she did and where she lived.
Definitely the same filly I met by the way.
Year 6
Everypony's starting to calm down, don't know why, but they started once I took out one of the
largest hordes ever. I also was asked to help at the old school and help teach about my cutie mark. I
lied that it was another blacksmith cutie mark, and thankfully they bought it. I don't want them to know
my real job.
After that I've been helping at the Library at keeping all the books in good condition as they were relocated.
I also ran into that one stallion again, and he asked me a few questions. He asked who I was, where I
worked, and when I arrived in Ponyville. I told him the truth, and he nodded in response, seemingly pleased
with my answers. He then left, and disappeared in the crowd.
Strange.
Year 10
Nine years since I entered Equestria, and I have yet to be noticed from this 'Princess Celestia
everypony talks about. Though I've been seeing two hordes of demons now, which means they're coming
in and making stronger forces. I need to keep an eye out on this, and keep them from being seen in the town.
The years are getting harder, yes, but I guess that's how life is, full of hardship and work. Nothing to worry
about yet, I hope.
Year 20
Alright, 19 years, and things have picked up over them. I fought against a good amount of
hordes, and they are worse now then before. Ponies around town have been noticing the strange
marks on the ground from the battles, and are beginning to grow worried. I need to find a way to
stop this soon.
Also, I ran into that stallion again, who was with a mare this time. She seemed nice, while the
stallion was confused to be seeing me still here. He asked me why I was here, and I explained
to him that I lived there, which seemed to make him even more confused. He then asked if we
could talk somewhere private, so I agreed, and we found ourselves in the newest sweet store,
Sugarcube Corner.
The stallion asked me a few questions, which I answered truthfully, but kept my true self hidden.
He seemed to slowly accept my replies, and soon introduced his companion, who goes by the name
Dominica. She was more nice then I expected, and seemed to mention a stallion she's with a bit. I'm
glad she has somepony special in her life, even if we just met, and I'm now curious about this stallion.
Maybe if I run into him I'd say hi.
Year 25
The years seem to be flying by, and I've become good friends with a good amount of ponies here.
However there seems to be no end to the demons, and they're coming in with four hordes now. It's no
end to training, sure, but they're much tougher then they used to be.
I've also met a mare named Miss Pie. She was friendly, and she was married too, so there was no
need to worry about anything bad. She seemed to talk on and on about her husband, which I listened
to well. She was certainly going to be an interesting friend.
Year 30
Today was quite interesting, I ran into a stallion who had a red coat, and a red n' white
mane and tail. He appeared to have control over fire, which made me curious. I sensed no demons
nearby, yet this stallion had one of the demons' powers. Was he a hybrid, sort of like me? Or was
he just a gifted stallion? Either way, he was kind and friendly, and wanted to introduce me to his
sister. I was reluctant at first, but decided to go along to keep friendly.
His sister was friendly, and seemed to talk a lot. That was good since I hardly say anything, and
she seemed to be thinking of something. When I asked about it, she said it was nothing.
I simply went along with it, and would occasionally speak to answer one of her questions,
though I tended to just sip the tea they gave me and either nod or shake my head in answer.
Year 32
I heard of a stallion today, somepony who is Princess Celestia's faithful student,
and how he did a spell that would have knocked out anypony else or kill them. Hell, he
even turns out to be Number 12 from the news. Who would've knew?
Aside from the mortal life, I fought through an enormous amount of demons, and that one
almost got me killed. They're getting more tactful, and also are sending in armored demons now.
This is going south real fast. I don't know how much longer I can last against them, and I need
to find somepony who could help me in this. If this gets out of hand, Equestria will fall.
Year 36
35 years since I arrived to Equestria, and I went through hell. Ponies have no idea what's
going on, and I've fought through nearly eight hordes of demons. They're getting ready for another
strike, I just know it. But I also know it won't be in Ponyville. I found plans on one of them, and they
plan to build a base of operations in the Everfree Forest, which would explain the darkness I felt from it.
I believe it's time to push back, and figure out what is drawing them to the forest.
