//-------------------------------------------------------// Foalhood Comfort -by Dustin Lange- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting Her Back //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting Her Back After a long day of work, Twilight couldn't wait to crawl into her nice, soft, warm bed. After all the crazy events of the day — caused by her, her body was entreating for rest, and that bed was her answer. Because Twilight was the reason for all the destruction, in and out-of-town, she was the one tasked to make sure everything was fixed and all the messes were cleaned up. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem for her; she could just use her magic to fix what was broken and move the debris elsewhere. But because her magic was the cause of it all, she was forbidden from using her magic by Celestia herself. That meant manual labor; something Twilight's body was not used to. As she crawled under her down blanket, she couldn't help but feel like she was forgetting something. Unable to put a hoof on what it might be, she counted it to being exhausted from the days work. She put out the candle on her nightstand and rolled onto her right side, a small smile present on her tired face. Clearing her mind, she let her burning and overworked muscles relax for the first time in over twelve hours. With a sigh, she melted into her mattress, vowing to never move a muscle again! At least until morning, anyway... After laying there for a few minutes, she found her mind wandering back to what she might have forgotten. What is it?! She thought to herself. Did I miss a broken support beam? Maybe a broken window...? What ever it is, it is going to keep me up until I figure it out... maybe I should ask Smarty Pants... Twilight giggled at the thought of asking her stuffed animal. Her eyes shot open. “Smarty Pants!” She shouted in sudden realization. “How could I have forgotten Smarty Pants?!” She jumped up and out of her bed and ran to her chest. “Maybe I did get her back and just put her away!” She hoped. “Oh... where are you?” She asked as she threw the contents of the chest across the room. Ducking her head into the empty chest and using her horn as a light source, she shouted. “She isn't in here!” Twilight pulled her head out of the chest and looked around the room, searching for a place she might be. Her eyes fell upon her bed. “Maybe she fell under my bed!” She yelled while running over to it. As she was running, she tripped over Spike who was sleeping in his basket. “Who - wha - huh?” Spike stuttered as he sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Looking around for who or what disturbed his slumber, he spotted Twilight on the ground. “Twilight? Are you okay?” He asked. “What are you doing looking under your bed? No wait, don't tell me! You think there is a monster under there.” Twilight continued to look under her bed frantically. Spike smiled. “That's why I sleep in a basket! Nothing can fit under it!” He said with triumph clear in his voice. “She isn't under there either!” Twilight concluded. “Who isn't where now?” Spiked asked. “Smarty Pants, Spike! I can't find her!” “You mean your stuffed animal? Didn't Big Mac take it?”
