Morning Blogs #01: Fandoms
Good morning everyone and welcome to the very first instalment of these morning rants. Today the subject will be fandoms and without further ado here we go.
Now as many people know, a fandom is a collection of fans surrounding a certain work in the entertainment industry, and while that seems pretty straightforward at first glance it's actually not that simple. Classifying things in this way by just looking at the most popular area where this scenario happens and calling it the only example of that would be like saying wars never took place other than the world war's. Now many of you probably just got lost so let me cut to the point, fandoms include a rather large area of entertainment because while most people do look at it as just fans of a show or book or movie it can actually include people. Now I'm not going to act all high and mighty and belittle anyone for not knowing that because I only just stumble onto that fact a few months ago in all actuality. I've recently started watching Markiplier and Rooster Teeth a lot and after a week or two I stopped and was just like, "Wow, these people have millions of people watching and actively supporting them." And if you watch them and are an active follower of their community it's true. Markiplier hosts monthly charity streams and makes thousands of dollars for charity and also has an online store with object people are scrambling to buy and Rooster Teeth has their own website, their own store stocked full of products from their multiple shows, as well as a "Sponsorship" option in which you pay around three dollars and get exclusive content such as watching the podcast live, getting content such as RWBY and Red vs. Blue early, as well as added bonuses.
All of this absolutely baffles me and even now after being a fan for so long I'm still wondering how they managed to amass so much support for the work they produce. And it's not just YouTuber's, it's celebrities as well. And while not as much content is created by them, their fan base adores every second they're on screen or their voice is used. I suppose the most puzzling thing in this equation is the fans themselves, I mean if you think about it, the fans of something are pretty much a collection of people who like a thing enough to go around and say, "Hey this is a thing, it's cool, I like it." And while it may not seem like much to some of you, that is a rather bold statement, because there are people who saw the same exact thing you did and said, "This is bunk." Humans are rather strange, although that's not the strangest thing of all, that throne is goes to the fans. See within a fandom there are three types of fans, and I won't go too in depth here, but I will cover the basics of these three fans. The first fan is the nonchalant one, you know the one that's like, "Eh, yeah I watch it, it's fun I guess." And usually that comment is only made if they're asked directly, almost refusing to jump into any conversation despite being a fan of the subject. The next fan is the creative fan, the one that watches something and goes, "I can do something with this." And then the next thing you know you have a picture or a story or a song made based on the subject, and you can sit back and smile knowing you made something about a thing you love. The final fan is the rabid one. We all know this one, and if you don't then you're that one my friend. The rabid fan is pretty much the one who always goes around sporting all manner of object stating their love for this thing and when you talk to them you can never seem to keep the conversation away from the subject, and it's because they always take what you're talking about and twists it to fit that show or movie or book. They are essentially obsessed, and while some can calm down about it and become a normal fan, most stay in the rabid zone.
Alright well I'm out of stuff to talk about this morning but be sure to check in around 7:30 am eastern time for another one of these blog posts, because it should be up by then. My name is Sylpheed and I hope you all have a wonderful day, buh-bye.

Morning Blogs Introduction
Hello all my insane followers out there, I'm here to announce that I'm going to begin doing a daily blog bit where I go on a rant about...Well any subject I choose for that morning. I'm doing this because I have a little too much time in the morning due to getting up hella early in order to be able to get my sister up and get ready before her bus gets here because she takes forever to do anything pretty much and needs a lot more time than me and my brother. As a result I'm left with about two hours of time to kill. Now these blogs will keep going on about the subject until I either A) run out of time to talk about said subject for the morning or B) end up with no matters left to talk about regarding the subject before the time is up.
I was going to put one up this morning but in the middle of writing it stuff happened and progress was lost. As a result I'm going to be posting it tomorrow instead. The subject of it will be fandoms and I'll dip a little into the fans themselves but that's a main subject of one I want to do for a blog later. So I guess that's all for this morning, my name's Sylph and I hope that you all have an okay day at the least. You know, the one without anything too bad but at the same time nothing really good happened either and you're kind of just like, "Well that was a day." Not that I'm saying you don't deserve good things, I'm simply starting that you deserve for nothing to happen rather than anything too harsh. Eh, this outro thing was a bad idea, bye.

Morning Blogs #02: Clopfics
Now, I've been in a great many number of fandoms and this one by far focuses the most on the fandom creations, such as fanfiction, music, and art, but this is the first time I've ever actually seen that in action. I mean yeah, I've seen fanfiction on websites around and junk, but this is the first successful website to host fanfiction from one fandom alone, not counting crossovers. And to capitalize on that point, we have an entire section of the site dedicated to porn. That is definitely a first, and I didn't know that when I was first signing up for the site. Now don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way because there are quite a few exceptions to this, but almost everything in that tag capitalizes on some stereotype to make it go round, such as a mare in heat or just wanting to fuck someone just to be fucking someone. The amount of fics I've read like that is astonishing and I think it's about high time to start coming up with some old fashioned love stories, and not the kind where two people meet and instantly fall in love and bang each other. Whatever happened to good old romance stories, I mean do people still enjoy those or are they shunned now after the tragedy of Twilight?
And before the few of you who read my clopfic go and begin pointing fingers at me over all the stereotypes that were in there let me tell you something, I put as many stereotypes in there as I could to see what sort of reaction I got and you wanna know something, that story got a thousand views in the first week and no one said a word about the problems I put in there on purpose or about the bloody stereotypes. They were all too busy wanking off probably. Now there are a few exceptions to the rule with stories that have both plot (avoids obvious ass joke despite all want to make it) and clop elements sprinkled in and I applaud those stories, I really do because most of the time it has a plotline I haven't seen before and I like to see new things. And that goes for non-clopfics as well, new ideas and such are greatly welcomed, such as a story I read a while back by an author named Dracor or something like tbat about an alternate universe where the Elements of Harmony didn't escape the rockslide in Dragonshy and Twi went insane after making a pocket dimension for herself in which she tries to perfectly recreate her friends so she can say goodbye one last time. It's really interesting (interesting enough for me to both remember the premise and the author) and you guys should look I up (or wait a few minutes for me to find a link to it which will be placed below).
Link (dead atm)
Well that's about all from me right now, my name's Sylpheed and I'll talk to you guys later.
