Darkness of night and brightness of day are two different things. Passed on and on,the darkness,evil. And the only one being frequently passed on. But how did this become a disease? Well,it started with ten test subjects. Ten-Now unknowingly condemned to darkness-Subjects. They were infected and let out into the open,but not before they erased their memory of this and gave them a new life to live.

NIGHT SHIFT. SUBJECT 007
Morning air shifter through the breeze,catching bid song's and awakening ponies in their cozy home's.
'Rest,Night Guards,to your post's,Day Guards!' Celestia commanded through the morning,letting Luna's guards sleep-Or help Celestia- And Celestia's Day Guards go to their posts
The Night Guards marched out to their home's in the top right part of the castle. The Day's taking their posts. Pegasi flying up to the higher parts where the earth ponies cannot reach,some carrying Unicorns to protect with them.
'You gonna sleep with Luna tonight or stay up with Celestia?' Night Shift asked a fellow guard.
'Though' it was your turn,Shifty.' He replied high voice for a colt of his size.
Night Shift,a navy blue pony with darker purple hair that's usually in a pony tail looked at him with a questioning look.
'No,i'm sleeping. Yesterday i stayed up with Tia,today it's you,Cee.' Night Shift replied to the colt,who's name is CeeDee Case.
Shift walked over to their room's and opened her door. 'I'll be right out,Cee. Then we can go to the mess hall.' She say's,closing the door to put her hair up and get out of her armor.
She walked out and followed CeeDee down to the mess hall on the first floor,
'Shifts! Case! How's it bein',bein on the other post now? Promotion! WOW! They ain't never gon' give me that! Although,i have been specially bred for this army so....' A new pony,Cash Suicide walked up to them in the hall.
'Nobody like's you,Suicide. Go do what your name says,commit friggen suicide.' CeeDee say's,their not allowed to swear so they make shift with almost saying them.
'Cee! Cash Suicide is nice,you should talk like that! That's the kind of crap that'll get you in trouble!' Night shift said,hitting Cee in the face.
'Don' hit so hard,woman. Luna,you're a jerk!'
'Why are you my friend!?'
'I'm not!'
'Then why are you walking with me!'
'What ever...' Night shift walks ahead of them,not caring.
'Sorry...Shift...' Cee say's,catching up to her.
'Shift, if it make's ya' feel any better,I get it all the time. It doesn't matter,it can't flatten me.' Cash say's,smiling.
Night Shift ignore's CeeDee and smile's back at Cash Suicide.
'You weren't bred for this army. The army just bred you.' Night Shift say's before laying a hoof on Cash's shoulder blade and looking back to Cee
'You're an incompetent jerk to,Case.' She say's bitterly before trotting to the mess hall.
Night Shift sit's down in her own outside silence,her head screaming to go back and say sorry to CeeDee. She banged her head down onto the table 'No..' She growled under her breath,they all probably though she was already strange. Didn't need to know she was yelling 'No' At herself.

JAY WEATHER: SUBJECT 05
The forbidden magic flowed through the air like a snake flow's through grass. Softly and swiftly. Dodging all in it's path,and eating all it can find.
'That's right. Teasha-Don't eat that. We need SOMETHING in the house for me.' The magic swirled around the colt,surveying his feature's as if she was questioning him
'Sien?' It said in a soft,slow echoing voice.
'Sien.' The colt replied to the talking magic
'Sien neata carshalem?' The magic said
'If you have any more food tonight you'll be a bit..Strange. How about you just stay here? Don't eat anything,please. I've got to go and do something...Alright?' Jay Weather asked,letting go of the magic stream. It turned from purple to pink and then red.
'Carsonata! Carsonata! Katkli Glishuin!' The magic swerved in from of Jay and turned a nasty shade of green.
'Alright! Alright! I won't go.' Jay Weather set down his packs at the table and sat down,munching on some oats.

Dark Fight look's around,holding his hooves as if there was a gun in his hand
'They're coming..' He whispered and hid behind a bush. 'They're here.' He said,his hazel eye's glinting with insanity.
'Subject found. Close in,he's armed. If we get him from behind we can knock him out or temporarily paralyze him so we can enter the Disease.' Another pony in a black lab coat said into a small microphone.
'Copy.' Said about twenty other's simultaneously.
'Sir,not to disrespect you..But...Do you really think this is necessary? Couldn't we just keep it in a vault and let it stay there for eternity?' A small voice said,a colt's voice. He must have been maybe sixteen or seventeen.
'Copy Cat! This is an important mission,if we don't enter this into Dark Fight in ten minute's time then the universe is DOOMED! Got it?' The stallion in the black lab coat said in a commanding,high voice. Compared to Copy Cat he had a mean,evil voice.
'Y-Yes sir.' Copy Cat said in a very small voice.
'Go.' Everyone ran into Dark Fight at the same time,some pinning him down,other's watching in horror as Dark Fight struggles.
'Well,well. Dark Fight,you haven't lived up to your name much,have you? Oh,but you will. You were MADE for this moment. Made to capture this darkness and be locked up for the rest of your life,and when you die this disease will die with you..' The stallion chuckled and came closer to Dark with the syringe he is holding.
'Are you a proud st-' Dark starts to speak and as he does he gets hit in the face. 'Are you a proud stallion,Grease Boil? Now that i think of it-' Another blow to the face. 'Think of it...Your name suggest's you're just hot grease,waiting to boil and die.' Another pony is preparing to hit again,Grease Boil signals for them to stop.
''i've already boiled over as water. Popping Grease should be easy.' Grease replies,kneeling down to look closer and Dark.
'Well then,you should know not to let a prisoner talk for to long.' Dark fight kicks his to hind legs and expands his front legs. He expands his wings and shoots over them.
'He's a Machine! Sir,he's a Machine!' Copy Cat say's,watching in awe,as Dark floats up in the sky,teasing them.
'He's a Mech,Copy. He's a Mech.' Grease say's,standing on the ground looking up at Dark. 'Come back down to get your weapon,Dark.I didn't build you with internal weapons!'
'But i did!' Dark holds out his right arm and it slowly mutate's into a pistol. 'Or.' It turns into a sniper. 'And.' It turns into a sword. 'And many more,Father. If i can really call you that anymore!' Dark say's,releasing a sword and almost hitting Grease. 'Warning shot.' Dark say's,shooting another sword that hit's a mare in the back,she yelps in pain and fall's down,blood pouring out of her back,covering the hard ground. She twitches and blinks rapidly and finally stops.
'Tiara? Why her?' Grease ask's curiously.
'Because she doesn't matter to you. She's useless. You don't need her.' Dark say's. Looking strait into the open,dead eye's of Tiara Shower. 'Because she's just a beautiful,useless trained one. Forced into the academy by yours truly.' Dark replies. Holding out his hoof and summoning his sword back. Wiping it off on a nearby tree. 'Face it,you didn't need her. Useless preppy girl.' Dark continues to criticize Tiara
'We didn't need her,it's true.' Grease replies. Dark swiftly lands in front of him and puts a transforming gun to his head.
'COPY!' Grease yell's and Copy runs over to Dark and whispers in his ear 'I wish i could have done something.' Dark lowers his gun and hugs Copy. 'Bad things happen to those wh-' He was cut off and fell down,taking Copy Cat with him. He slid away before Copy Cat got hurt though. They dragged Dark back to their lab.

'Can't we leave him alone? That's all he wants.' Copy said,dragging Grease out of the lab.
'No,Cat. We have to keep an eye on him. If he wake's up without us there something will go wrong. Someone will die,and this evil will be out in the world. Cat,if we don't stay right here then something bad will inevitably happen.' Grease said standing behind glass and observing Dark.
'O-Oh...Alright.' Copy Cat says sitting in a corner.
'Copy...The reason i chose you for second in charge of the squad was because you are so sympathetic. But for once,we don't need it. We need you to be strong.'
'I can't be strong. That isn't me..I'm just a small little seventeen year old boy who doesn't know what to do with his life except for war. Hell,even my mother insisted on it. My father,brother's sisters. My friends and family. Back then i was strong and i didn't know what it would be like,war. I thought it would be like the games,kill the people and get hurt some. But it's not...Not at all. It changes you. Create's a monster....I don't want to be a monster,so i hide in the corner saying sorry to passerby's and then shooting them.
'Don't you see what we're doing wrong,Grease? We're killing and not even thinking. Pew,pew oh you're dead? I don't care. We're just killing each other to..Not even some other species. Just...Each other. It's so wrong. Aren't we all the same? We may not speak the same language or be the same race..But we're all sentient being's from Equestria. Why must we have war?' Copy Cat say's. Standing up to look at Dark Fight.
'You have a very good point.' Grease replies. Looking down at the control's,silently crying. 'Why must we kill each other when we know it's just going to end up like...Nothing...We're all going to kill each other off at some point,we'll all be dead someday....'

Dark slowly opens one of his eye's,listening to the sound of Copy Cat's voice. That soft,small voice that stood up for him. Even as a stallion he still appreciated help and ponies who stood up for him.
'Dark,Dark wake up. Come on..' Copy said into the microphone on the glass,he turned a switch and then spoke into it again 'DARK' He said,his voice coming out of the speakers as if Dark's ear was on a full-blast concert speaker.
'HOLYSHIT' Dark yelled. He fell on the ground,half because Copy Cat's voice made him jump and half because it was so loud it shook the entire room.
Copy made haste to turn it down 'Sorry...' Copy said quietly,looking at the control's.
'Never-NEVER..Do that again.' Dark Fight said,sitting back up on the uncomfortable white bed in the white room. 'What's with all this...White...' Dark remarked,looking around. 'Even the camera's are white!' He said,still looking around.
'They wanted to blind you.' Copy said,laughing and saying it sympathetically at the same time.
'Stop being so damn nice.' Dark say's. Walking around the room,touching every wall. He wanted Copy to be nice to him,he just couldn't bear the image of someone being sympathetic to him right now. Not anyone-That was an over statement. Everyone wasn't injecting him with Darkness. Just Copy Cat,Grease Boil and the other's on their squad. He remember'd it like he didn't even go to sleep...You know how you forget the last five minute's if you go to sleep or black out? Well he didn't. He will NEVER forget those words of truth,kindness and hell. 'I wish i could have done something' Simple words,whispered into a dead colts ears. But some how they weren't simple.
'I can't,Sir,i'm just like this. Ever since i joined the army i've been like this.'
'Army?'
'Yes,Sir,army.'
Dark looks at him,speechless. 'This is the ARMY'S business? Not some mad scientists idea of fun?'
Copy Cat nods and backs away from the microphone. He pushed a lever down on the wall next to the door and the doors slid open. The cold white walls. 'I wish i could have done something to stop it,Dark. But Grease had his mind set on doing this,so i couldn't.'
'I wish you wouldn't say that.' Dark replies. Sitting back down on the white bed.
Copy slowly walks out of the room and wave;s before he closes the door and leave's.
'Look what you've done now,Dark Fight. Your only source of compassion has run off and now you're left with what..With this disease of the mind. You just...UGH i can't even-I HATE YOU!' He kicks the air,moving himself so his legs were dangling off the bed. He slowly slid down and lay there,motionless for a second.
'I hate you to.' A voice replies,not the one that belongs to Grease though. Grease is the only one who would say that..
Dark look's around. Nobody,not even in the control room
'You're trying to find me? I'm in your head,idiot. Simply recognize the echoing of an empty mind.' The voice say's,Dark jumps up.
'Y-You're me?!' Dark say's,looking around. Still,no one. Suddenly he jumps again,but out of fear,this time.An image appear'd in his mind. A bloody him,an insane looking,darker colored,red/black eyed bloody him. 'You're not me. Thats not me! DEAR CELESTIA THATS NOT ME!' Dark yell's,eye's open wide and laying down on the floor,curled in a ball,only to uncoil at the sound of Grease's voice.
'Dark? Are you alright in there?' Grease say's,opening to door and looking at him.
'I-No. I-But...' Dark stutter's and jerks around occasionally. 'I can't possibly be like that. I'm not a monster. That isn't me. I'm a mech-But i have a heart and feelings. THAT ISN'T ME!' Dark yell's,punching Grease strait in the face.
'Dark-Listen to me,anything you're seeing,anything you're thinking it's fake. Believe me. IT'S FAKE.' Grease say's.
Dark's insane,distorted face turned into a grin. 'Grease...Finally,we meet. My name's Dead Weight,if you were wondering. I came with Dark's package,just i was the little thing that got lost but it's VITALLY IMPORTANT. And you finally found me. Thank you,thank you for inserting Indigo into my system and finding me. I'm happy that you have.' Dark stands and paces around Grease.
'Whats Indigo?' Grease ask's quietly and nervously.
'Indigo..? The thing you call 'Darkness' Is actually called 'Indigo'.I studied it,it's in my databanks. In the far back,the...The place you would call the place with 'Suppressed memories'...I'd think you'd have figured that out.' Dead replies. Stopping and facing the door.
'You go out that door and your memories are erased. You will remember me and Copy Cat but thats all. Nothing else. You'll have a different life. We'll be...Old friends...Actually,you won't know how you know us. You just will. Dead Weight will be superior,and Dark will be suppressed.'
'Then be happy i have no intention of stepping out that door any time soon.' Dead replies.

Heart Whispers lay on her bed,silently crying into her pillow. 'Why?' She occasionally whisper'd. 'Why him? Of all ponies-Why HIM.'She say's,sitting up. He face was tear stained and her eye's blood shot.
She walked to the kitchen and poured a bowl of Oat's and Honey.
'Damn those teenagers. DAMN THEM!' She yell's,slapping down bowl so hard it shatters. 'One less bowl,due to my anger. Great,now i only have two. Dish's will be a bastard. Every day? Yes. Usually i have cereal and then at some point ice cream.'She murmur's to herself,getting a new bowl and being glad that she hadn't put milk in it yet.
There's a loud knock on the door.
'Go away. No visitor's,learn to read.' She say's,sitting down at her table carved in a strange shape. A...Half moon. Yes.
A stallion,grey coat and indigo mane,barges in. 'Important new's. I'm very sorry Mrs. Whisper's,but Sherri Pi...She's just broken into the school. Say's she left something when i'm SURE she stole the ingredient's to make a certain...Dangerous...Poison.' The stallion say's,pointing to his mane and then pulling out a single hair.
'She stole,the ingredient's to make indigo poison? Why?'
'There's a rumor flying around that they are going to do a..Test..With it. I checked the ingredient's cupboard...And ten serving's of indigo poison ingredient's are gone.' He say's. He lay's out a sheet of paper with ten name's on it.
'Ten ponies to be test subjects. Ten ponies to die eventually. Ten ponies to hold darkness. Ten ponies to die with it.' Heart Whispers repeats off the page. She read's it and goes through

'These are the one's? You were on here? And these are the one's.' Heart say's,looking up from the picture,her mouth hanging open.
'Yes. I'd say they've already captured them all-Just waiting to inject them with the poison. Destroy them bit by bit. They may have already injected Dark Fight,i heard Sherry Pi whispering to herself about Dark's 'Other side' Dead Weight. I figure that we can't do anything.'
'We should just find out if some of them are still out there-Then we could help them.' Heart look's worridly from side to side,as if she was waiting for a league of ponies to appear and take her away.
'Yes. We'll go out to search tomorrow.' Indigo replies,taking one last glance at the sheet. 'Sherry's doomed anyways. She has already given her life to them,by helping them. Whoever 'Them' Is. She's dead.' Indigo replies and swiftly steps out,almost flying on his hooves,
'Good bye.' Whispers replies,stuffing the list in her saddlebag.
