Harmonizing Chaos

Fluttershy tussled at the covers in her bright, green bed. Her teal eyes slowly popped open, focusing on the draconequus who was bending over her, his muzzle pressed against hers.

She screamed, and threw herself under the blankets.

"Relax.. It's just me, Fluttershy." Discord snapped his fingers and turned the blanket invisible, thus revealing the curdled up mare.

"I like seeing you in the morning. I just wish you would stop breaking into my house," Flutters whimpered.

"Oh? Are good friends not supposed to break into other friend's houses?" Discord jokingly asked, obviously knowing the answer.

"Well, not really," Flutter said calmly. "Good friends are supposed to knock. Or even just friends for that matter."

"Well it doesn't matter anyway." Discord picked her up, and put her on his shoulders. "I had some very bad news, and I couldn't wait until you woke up."

"Bad news? That's not good to hear in the morning. What is it?"

"My brother, Harmonia, is coming to Ponyville for a week," Discord grumped. "And he's coming today. I would have told you earlier, but I wanted to make it a 'surprise.'"

"You have a brother!?" Fluttershy gasped, falling off his shoulders, and onto the ground. She looked up. "And his name's Harmonia? That must mean-"

"Yes, he does all the little girl things," Discord gagged. "He causes-" He shivered. "Harmony.."

"Well surely you two still have some things in common?" Flutter asked.

"Absolutely not." He crossed his arms. "My eyes are red and yellow. His are blue and green. My top coat is gray and my bottom is brown. His top coat is brown and his bottom is gray. We have no things in common, whatsoever."

"I mean your personality." Flutter perched on top of his shoulders again.

"Nope. He's a goody-goody," Discord gagged again. "But.. He is my brother. And I do love him."

"Awww, that's what really counts." Flutters smiled and nuzzled her head against his cheek. She was happy to see her friendship "pupil" was learning.

Discord pecked her on the cheek, and finally made his way outside.

Flutter followed him on his shoulders, when they met with the open breeze.

Pinkie Pie popped down from the roof, and landed on Discord's head.

"HIIIIII!" she greeted.

"Pinkie Pie?" Discord mumbled.

"The one and only," the pink pony squeaked, hopping down. Her fuzzy, hot pink tail waggled when she landed, and a bright smile was plastered on her face.

"Pinkie, what are you doing?" Fluttershy fluttered down.

"I was listening to your conversation," Pinkie truthfully replied. She leaned her neck up to Discord, breaking logic. "So, you're brother is coming over?"

"Correct."

"Aww, lucky. I only have three sisters. That's Linoleum Pie, Marble Pie, and Maud." Pinkie smiled, bringing her neck back to the correct position.

"Interesting," Discord said. "I have to go to the train station and pick him up."

"Bye bye Discord!" Pinkie waved.

"Goodbye." Fluttershy quietly copied.

Pinkie turned back to her yellow companion. "So what do you think about Harmonia coming?"

Fluttershy shrugged. "I'm just curious to see the opposite of Discord's personality."

"Me too.." Pinkie squeaked.

Fluttershy, Twilight, Pinkie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Spike all sat inside Twilight's new castle.

"Ugh. Where is Discord?" Rainbow impatiently asked.

"I think he'll be here soon," Fluttershy kindly said, always defending him.

"If soon is now then you're correct!" a familiar voice said, a white flash beaming in the room. Two of them, in fact. Except the other one was black.

Discord and Harmonia appeared, their paws grasped.

"Everypony say hello to my brother, Harmonia." Discord smiled.

The draconequus waved and smiled, his teeth all in his mouth, and not one of them sticking out like Discord's.

"Good afternoon! I am Twilight Sparkle." Twilight greeted.

"Howdy do, Harmonia. Ah'm Applejack," Applejack said in her usual cowgirl tone.

"A pleasure to meet you. I'm Rarity." Rarity smiled.

"HIIIIIIII!" Pinkie squealed. "I'm Pinkie Pie! ♫"

"Sup," Rainbow said, her arms crossed awesomely. "The name's Rainbow Dash."

"Hello everypony!" At least Harmonia still had Discord's fancy accent. "I'm Harmonia, but it seems you already know that."

Discord looked over at Fluttershy. "Fluttershy? Aren't you going to introduce yourself?"

Harmonia scanned the room for the mare, until he found her. He gasped as he saw her.

"Um.." Fluttershy was always nervous about new ponies, even if she knew they were coming ahead of time. "I'm Fluttershy."

"Hi Fluttershy," Harmonia greeted.

Flutters pushed her pink mane in front of her eyes.

Discord looked at his brother. "Well, these are all my friends."

"Oh, you have so many friends, little brother!" Harmonia patted his head like a puppy.

Discord frowned, and the mane six couldn't hold in their laughter.

"L-Little brother?" Rainbow chortled.

"Yes yes. Get it out of your system," Discord grumped.

"Oh yes. Perhaps Discord didn't tell you he's the baby of the family," Harmonia giggled, swaying his long body over Discord.

"He didn't even tell us he had a brother," Twilight added. "Until today, that is."

Harmonia flew over to Spike. "And what's your name?"

"I'm Spike," the baby dragon enthusiastically said.

"Yes, he's my number one assistant," Twilight walked over and put him on her back.

"That's neat," Harmonia complemented.

Discord rolled his eyes. His brother was always being so nice to everypony.

"Well, why don't we all go out to dinner?" the happy draconequus suggested.

"OK!" Rainbow shot up. "My stomach's been growling this whole time."

"I have to agree. I'm quite hungry as well," Rarity implied.

"Very well!" Harmonia smiled. "We can all go to The Hay Burger."

"Sure," Pinkie agreed.

"I love The Hay Burger," Twilight admired.

"We know," the mane six jokingly chorused.

The purple alicorn blushed.

"So it's settled," Discord finally spoke. "Let's get a move on."

Everypony headed out the door, and began on the trail.

As Flutters plotted along, Discord was aside her.

Harmonia shifted onto the other side of her. "So I see you're very shy."

Flutters nodded.

"I'm her best friend," Discord boasted proudly.

"One of my best friends," Flutters assured. "I have five others." She turned back to friends plotting behind.

They smiled, and Spike jumped onto Twilight's back, flailing his hands.

"Hey! What about me?" Spike asked, grumpily.

"Oh, and Spike's one of my best friends, too." Flutters winked.

Spike sat back down, and Twilight gave him a smirk.

"Perhaps I could be another best friend?" Harmonia pondered aloud.

Fluttershy began, "Of cour-"

Discord hushed Fluttershy with his talon finger. "I think seven is quite enough."

Flutters glared at him. She gently pulled his finger away from her mouth. "You can never have too many friends, Discord."

Harmonia flew by Discord, his eyes narrowing as he whispered into his brother's ear. "Yes Discord. You can never have too many friends."

Discord growled under his breath, as Harmonia continued to chatter with Flutters.

"Stop all your blabberin'," AJ said in her southern accent. "We're here." She pointed to the fast food restaurant with her right hoof.

"In we go then!" Harmonia chirped, gliding in.

Discord crossed his arms, and grumpily plotted inside. He sat down besides Fluttershy, who on the other side of her, was Harmonia.

Twilight and Rarity picked up the menu with their magic, looking down at the choices.

Pinkie Pie picked up the foals' menu and the three crayons and started to scribble wildly inside the empty pictures of foals playing and smiling.

"You're a wonderful artist," Harmonia complimented.

"Thanks!" Pinkie smiled, proudly showcasing her out-side-of-the-line-pictures.

"You're welcome," Harmonia picked up a menu, as Dashie copied him.

"Hay Nuggets, hay Burgers," she began, listing the food choices. "Horseshoe fries, cucumber sandwiches-"

"Fluttershy and I love cucumber sandwiches," Discord interrupted. "Don't we?"

"Of course!" Flutters snuggled against him, and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders, looking at his brother, who didn't notice, and was looking down at his menu.

Caramel Jam, a beige colored pony with a semi-large horn walked over to the table, a tiny notepad held with his magic. "Can I take your order?"

"Yeah, we're ready," Twilight decided. "I'll have two large hay burgers with a side of horseshoe fries please."

"Certainly." Caramel Jam wrote the order in his notepad, and then turned to Rarity. "And for you ma'am?"

"A Caesar Salad please."

"And you?" He went to Dashie.

"Three hay burgers!"

The list went on until he came to Discord. "Twins, have we now?" he asked.

"Nope. And I'm glad it is that way," Discord crossed his arms, and Harmonia raised an eyebrow.

"Um.. Okay.." Caramel awkwardly concluded. "Anyway, what would you like?"

"A hay burger," Discord grumped. "And some chocolate milk."

"Oh yeah! Hoof-five!" Pinkie reached in with her pink hoof.

Discord looked at her, and she put her hoof back slowly.

"What would you like?" Caramel turned to Flutters.

"I'm not very hungry." Flutters smiled. She gasped when Harmonia wrapped an arm around Fluttershy's other shoulder. His fingers met Discord's.

Discord gritted his teeth angrily, as he tried to speak in a calm tone. "Harmonia, can I speak to you in limbo world for a moment?"

"Sure thing Discord," he replied, happily. They leaned their heads together, touched horns, and suddenly their eyes turned blank.

Flutters raised a hoof to her mouth.

"What in tarnation?" Applejack demanded.

"Where ever have they gone?" Rarity asked.

"They're still there.. But they're not," Rainbow Dash said.

"Yay! The chocolate milk is here!" Pinkie squealed.

Everypony glared at her, before returning to their chatter.

"Quiet down everypony," Twilight said, remaining calm. "I've read about this before."

"What haven't you read before," Spike rolled his eyes jokingly, and Twilight shot a look to him.

Returning to explaining, Twilight said, "Draconequi do this to communicate in a private world; Limbo world. They preform this by touching horns."

"Well I can't help but wonder what they're talking about," Flutters admitted. "Discord seemed mad at Harmonia."

"It did seem that way," Rarity agreed.

"To be honest with ya'll, Ah thought Harmonia would be just like his brother; Chaotic. But he does live up to his name," Applejack added.

"Indeed," the ponies chattered.

While they were talking, Discord and Harmonia were still in limbo world.

"What is up with you?" Dissy shot.

"I was wondering the same thing," Harmy replied. "I for one, am having a great time with your friends."

"Yeah, you seem to be having a great time with Fluttershy!"

"What are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about!" Discord snarled. "She's my marefriend, and you're all over her! 'Maybe I can be one of your best friends, too, Fluttershy', 'I think you're shy, Fluttershy.' Well no crap she's shy! Her name's Fluttershy for Celestia's sake!"

Harmonia sighed. "Okay.. Maybe I do think Fluttershy is cute.. But she's not the reason I'm here."

"Then what is?" Discord snapped. "Because you obviously didn't come for me!"

Harmonia's eyes gleamed. "Discord, I'm tired of everypony in the family bringing me down because I don't cause chaos. Well I'm gonna cause some chaos. You just wait."

"What?" Discord asked. "You're going to make chaos?"

"I'm not going to say anymore," Harmonia closed his eyes, and disappeared from limbo, removing Discord as well.

Discord popped out, as he saw Harmonia walking towards the bathroom.

"Where are you going, Harmonia?" Discord curiously asked.

"Oh, just to the bathroom," he replied, leaving.

Discord watched him as he left, only returning when he successfully made his way into the latrines.

"Did you guys hear that?" Discord asked.

"Um.. Discord?" Applejack asked.

"Hear what?" Pinkie interrupted her.

"Harmonia is gonna cause chaos!" he happily replied.

"When did he say that?" Spike asked.

"Oh yeah. We were in limbo," Discord remembered. "But he said he's gonna cause chaos!"

"Harmonia?" Rarity tried to confirm. "His name is Harmonia."

"And I just don't see him causing chaos," Flutters admitted.

"But he said he would," Discord smiled. "And it will be great!"

"I think you're a little nuts," Rainbow implied.

"But I'm telling the truth!" Discord insisted.

Everypony stared blankly at him.

"Oh, you'll see," Discord told them, before taking a juicy bite into his hay burger, and taking a sip of his chocolate milk.

After Harmonia returned, and they had finished their meal, they paid and left the building.

While Flutters was walking, Rainbow Dash zoomed to her side.

"Um.. Did you see Discord back there?" she asked.

"Yes," Flutters replied. "What about him?"

"Just something about the way he was saying Harmonia was gonna cause chaos," Dashie said.

"It did seem strange, didn't it?" Flutters agreed. "But I'm sure he was just saying something like he always does. Perhaps he had too much alcoholic chocolate milk the day before."

"I thought it was odd, too," Twilight fluttered down to the ground and to the other side of Flutters.

"I think we're getting too worked up over nothing," Flutters told them. "I don't think he was saying anything to say anything. He was just babbling."

"He was acting weird," Pinkie stretched, hopping by them.

"Certainly abnormal," Rarity commented, fluffing her mane.

"Weirdest thing Ah've seen in some time," Applejack added.

"Everypony stop!" Flutters yelled. Everpony did indeed stop, and looked at her.

"Discord wouldn't lie," Flutters told them. "He's reformed, and his heart is pure."

Harmonia, who was listening, gave a wicked smile, and continued on the trail.
