As we all know, it's destined to go horribly awry, but not just quite the way you remember. Our story begins the day before the celebration, nearby Ponyville, where someponies are clearly not where they should be... "Reimu! Get up, ze!" said a familiar voice. "Just 5 more minutes..." Groaned Reimu. "GET UP!" "Marisa, what is it?" "Open your eyes, Reimu. Look at where we are!" Said Marisa. Reimu looked at her surroundings. "What the? This is nothing like Gensokyo!" She turned to Marisa. "Oh, no... No, no... This HAS to be a dream!" Marisa walked- no, trotted -up to her, and poked her with a yellow hoof. "It's not a dream, sadly." "You're a- a..." She stared in astonishment. "Go on..." "An equine of some sort, it seems." Marisa sighed. "Or you could have simply said pony. I'm a pony, isn't that amazing!?" "The least we can do is talk to the locals, and figure out more about this place." "Let's go, then! The adventure begins!" Marisa and Reimu entered the town, looking at all the ponies. "Reimu, where do you think we should go?" Asked Marisa. "I'd say a library. By the way, what do I look like?" Reimu questioned. "You're a red pony, and you have wings, your dress, and a yin-yang on your rump." "What!? I never got a tattoo in that place!" "Let's go to the library, then!" "Okay, then." They walked through the town, gazing at all the different ponies and colorful buildings. After a while of walk-  er -trotting along, they reached the library, the library of Twilight Sparkle. They walked up to the door and knocked. After a while, Twilight opened the door. "Hello?" She asked. "Could this wait, please? I'm very busy." "Okay then!" Said Marisa. "Bye!" "See you!" Said Twilight, shutting the door. Reimu turned to Marisa. "You do know we never got to ask where this is, right?" "She was busy! Besides, we might as well get to know the rest of the people too, right?" "I suppose so." They walked around town for a while, and met some peopl- er, ponies. Eventually the two found a hotel to stay in for the night. Unbeknownst to them, an evil plot was being put into place, a plot to ruin the Summer Sun Celebration. "Nearly there... And... Done!" Said Nue, freeing her. "What...? Who are you?" She asked, looking at Nue, now a pegasus with one blue wing and one red one. "I am Nue Houjuu, and tomorrow we will get vengeance on your sister who locked you away... All we must do is wait..." "We're going to miss the ceremony!" Marisa proclaimed, stumbling out of her bed. "Still not used to being a pony..." "What ceremony?" "The Summer Sun Celebration! It's apparently important, the owner of the hotel told me about it!" "Well, then, let's check it out." "Okay!" They trotted off to the Summer Sun Celebration, and hung around at the party until nighttime, when Mayor Mare gave her speech, and introduced Princess Celest- "That doesn't seem right..." Said Marisa. "Uh oh..." Reimu was staring at a figure that was anything but Princess Celestia. It was none other than Nightmare Moon. "...And the night will last forever! Muahahahahaha!" The scene erupted into pandemonium, ponies running everywhere. Reimu and Marisa ran out the door, chasing after her. "What the heck was that!?" Said Reimu. Marisa was already running to the Everfree Forest. "No idea! Let's go!" "Here we go again..."
