A Man, A Pony And An Elf Enters The Inn - An Elf

A Man, A Pony And An Elf Enters The Inn

An Elf

A land called Quertis. A peacefull land, a quiet land... At least that's what others would've said if they could only see it, without actualy being there. This land is in never-ending war betwen wood elfes and dark elfes. The war started when the captain of the wood elfes had discovered the forest called Oharaka, a peacefull forest filled with animals, rare herbs and the legendary Dritana lake. The legends says that the person who will touch the waters of Dirtana will be instantly healed from all kinds of diseases and wounds. Soon as the captian had send the good news to the rest of his people, dark elfes had came to this place as well. They have quickly found the presence of wood elfes and chased them out of the forest. From this moment on, each of the races had build their camps at both sides of the forest, where they were gathering forces and thinking about the possible plans to attack. This war was going for almost two hundred years, with a lot of loss on both sides. Orcs didn't wanted to help dark elfes, for they thought it is a waste of time to fight for a bunch of trees. Similar to the wood elfes, griffons stayed out of this. Unlikely griffons from Equestria, the Quertis griffons were cowards, avoiding fights whenever it was possible. While the middle of the planet was absorbed by war, the north of it, Truteland, a land of griffons was preparing to move to the Tutarena, where the plain fields would give them a better place to live than where they were at the moment, place that was soon about to get attacked by the forces of Dark Elfes... But the north of the Quertis wasn't the only part of the planet in war. At the same time, at the south, a two powerfull nations were at the state of war since the beggining of existance. Minotaurs, similar to Equestrian ones, but smaller. Harpies, beautifull flying warriors, the legends says that they were once ruling over the griffons. At the left side, plain fields of Futerena, at the right side a jungle called Ware'toa. At the very edge of the continent, far in the jungle lies the lost temple of the Azure, a goddess that once kept Quertis in peace. This place had fallen to the horde of the undead soon as the goddess had died. People say that gods cant die, this is why they are called "gods"... But on Quertis, everything is possible. Death of the goddess is a mystery to this day, but one thing is known - Since that day, wars started to spread all around the continent. Right now, this land is slowly falling apart, but there are few that are trying to save it.

One of them is a girl, a wood elf.

Her name is Sunera, she had left Frana Te'lun and was heading to the lost kingdom, where the old capital was placed, but destroyed once the wars started. Elves often say that this place keeps a lot of magic energy, often used in healing and enchanting weapons. Sunera wanted to gather these powers and call the goddess back at the Quertis, for she believed she haven't died, she had just left them because of wars that were slowly making their way in.

Sunera is a blond-haired girl, with what looks like a fragile body that often fooled her enemies into believing in an easy fight. Using her enchanted bow, she can transform everything natural into arrows. Leaves, rocks, grass, everything she could manage to get instantly turned into an arrow as long as it touched the string of the bow. Wearing her typical scout clothes, she slowly made her way through the forest at the edge of the Frama Te'lun. Soon she was about to find the ruins of the old capital, probably with a few harpies patrolling the place. She would need to sneak on them, take at least a few of them out with bow, and probably end with the rest of them with a knife she always had hidden in her sleeve. It would be a hard fight, and to take them all out without leaving anyone who could alarm the real warriors is almost impossible, but she have to do it. For Quertis, for Azure.

Soon she could see already the light coming out betwen trees. She had prepared her bow, picked a few leaves and transformed them into arrows. Slowly she came to the edge and looked around for any sings of the enemies. Surprisingly, there was nobody to be found on both the ground and in the air. The sun was shinning brightly upon the destroyed palace, throwing a shadow at the edge of the forest where Sunera was standing. She quickly made her way into the ruins, trying to feel the energy flowing through the air. Moving from one place to another, after twenty minutes she still haven't felt anything. ...This can't be, is the energy in this place only a rumor? She hang her head in defeat. There's still the posibility of the energy at the temple of Azure, though getting there would be suicidal... Just as she was about to walk away, suddenly she felt the energy, slowly growing in the air. With a glee of joy, she started to gather the energy in one place.

She haven't expected what had happened.

The energy kept growing and growing, untill it was such a huge wave that the air itself felt thick, almost impossible to breath. Her head was aching as she took a few steps back. What is happening? Where did all this energy came from? Next thing she saw was a huge explosion of light, visible from almost every neighboring country. Soon the light had faded, and while Sunera was trying get her eyes working again, a voice suddenly echoed through the ruins.

"...I can't believe this..." At first it was barely a wishper, but then it get suddenly way louder "I'M FINALLY FREE! Ahahah, i've told you Celestia! Now, if i could only..." She just got her sight back when she saw a strange creature standing right in front of her, she could practically smell his breath. ...Ew, it smells like something is rotting!

The monster was huge, at least three meters high. It looked like someone had mixed a few animals into one, it had a lion paw on one arm, and the eagle claw on the other, one leg as a boar hoof, second one as a claw of crocodile. It whole body was from snake, scales shinning at the light of sun peeking through broken walls. It's head was of a goat, with a one horn of a cow and the second one... If she didn't knew better, she would say it was a horn of a unicorn, a legendary horses that could create bursts of magic energy around them out of thin air. There were only legends about their existance, but at the books she had seen, it's horn was looking exacly as the unicorn horn. She awoke from her thoughts as the creature suddenly dissapeared and reappeared a few meters away, looking quite disturbed.

"...What are you?" It had asked, a confusion clear in it's voice.

"...I'm a S~" No! I've almost forgot the lesson of our captain, "Never let the potential enemy know you". That was close... "I'm... Quertis, an orc."

"Orc? I've never heard of something... like... that..." He seemed to suddenly froze. "...Tell me, is this an Equestria?"

"...A what?" He seemed to shake a little bit, she could say that it's afraid, if not the manic smile on it's face.

"...I did it... I'M IN ANOTHER DIMENSION!" He screamed in joy and started some kind of sick dance of victory. Sunera could feel the growing annoyance in her.

"...And what are you? What are you doing here?" She calmly said, trying to stay polite towards the strange creature. It seemed to suddenly halt in the middle of the dance, it's head turned her way.

"Me? Ah, right, where are my manners." It once again dissapeared from where it was standing and reappered next to her, sitting on a wooden chair and smoking a pipe with a monocle and a black top hat. "My name is Eua'Regone, a draconequus and the rightfull ruler of Equestria, at your service." It had stood up from it's chair, which by the way instantly dissapeared afterwards, bowed and kissed her hand like the minotaurs does in the act of manners. She was quite stunned at that, she didn't knew how to react to anything it's doing so far. "Also, if you don't mind, have a few questions to you." His monocle and top hat had dissapeared, only his pipe was still there. "First, tell me the name of this land."

"Ummm... It's..." By the name of Azure, i'm in big trouble now!

And then suddenly, harpy warriors came, visible at the edge of the woods on the other end of the ruins. There were at least dozen of them, each of them armed and looking sure of themself. Most of them were wearing a casual battle armor, covering their body and partialy their legs and claws, each claw having additionaly a metal gauntled, ending with a set of four blades, their typical weapon for a short range. Two of them were wearing full sets of armor, covering their whole body and head, and having additional blade at their sides. In the middle of the group was probably their leader, wearing heavy armor and an axe at her back, but without a helmet. A wise elf once said "A warrior without his helmet is like a painter without his brush" Soon they started making their way to the ruins.

"Oh no..." Sunera murmured while the strange creature was looking at the group with interest. "We need to hide." She spoke now louder and rushed behind one of the walls, Eua'Regone slowly following her while still looking at them. After a while they could hear the approaching group.

"Alright, we need to secure this place. If there's really so much magic energy as these wood elfes claimed, others might want to claim this power. Barbara group, head north. Areisa group, head south. Me and my girls will stay here and watch both east and west side. Also, we would need to search these ruins. Who knows what creatures could be living here now." Sunera slowly prepared her bow, waiting for the first harpy to enter the ruins. What she did not expected was that the creature behind her was now missing.

"Excuse me ladies, i have a few questions to you, if you could anserw them i would be really grateful!" He said to the harpies with a smile on his face, all of them looking at him with a mixed terror and confusion.

"What are you, strange creature?" The leader of the groups had asked it. Even when most of her warriors seemed slightly scared of it, the leader's face was emotionless.

"Oh, i don't feel like saying it again, why don't you ask the Quertis?"

"What?" One of harpies with full set of armor asked. Quera fa malete, shut up!

"She's hiding behind this wall." It said, pointing his thumb behind him at the wall where Sunera was hiding. You idiot! Now it's too late for a surprise, i'm surrounded. I gues i have no choice now... She slowly stood up and made her way outside, bow on her back and hands high in the air.

"I surrender." She stated while other harpies looked at her with a little smirks.

"So, she's a friend of yours, creature?"

"Maybe friend is a wrong word, let's say that she was the first person that i had meet here." The harpies attention went back to the Eua'Regone.

"And she said that her name is Quertis?" The main leader asked, a small smirk forming on her face as she looked once again at Sunera.

"That's what she said. Quertis, an orc." Draconequus said as his one eyebrow lifted up, a confusion slowly being visible on his face as he made a few small smoke circles with his pipe. There was a silence for a few seconds before all harpies bursted into laugh, a few of them falling to the ground and wiggling from the uncontrolable attack of laughter. Sunera could feel a deep blush slowly appear on her cheek. Alright, maybe this wasn't the greatest idea... Don't judge me! The main leader had first caught back her breath, turning to the Eua'Regone.

"Listen... You're not from this land, are you not?"

"Not exacly, i'm from Equestria."

"Equestria? I haven't heard about such place, but there's not much known about what's beyond the seas. Listen, she's not a orc, she's-" That's how much she had said before an arrow had pierced through her head, blood flushed at faces of a few harpies, who haven't realized yet what had happened. This is a prize a warrior must pay for not wearing a helmet.

"GET HER!" Barbara screamed as all harpies instantly rushed at her. She was just about to start running away when suddenly she could feel the pure energy flowing in the air from behind her. When she turned around, she instantly froze. All of the harpies looked like they were strangled, but nothing was holding them. When she looked around, she noticed that Eua'Regone was now smiling slightly.

"Ah, i haven't done that in quite a while. It always feels so refreshing to cause some terror in the group of mortals." He said as his grin was slowly growing bigger. After a few seconds, first harpy fell on the ground. Then second. Then third. Within a few minutes, there was a dozen harpies lying on the ground, one with percied head and all others strangled to death. Sunera slowly turned her head to the creature, unable to move or speak. What... What had he done? He started heading towards her, a smile dissapearing from his face and instead of that a look of dissapointment starting to get visible.

"You lied to me."

Fire next to the destroyed wall of the ruins was gently cracking, giving away a feeling of warmth as Sunera was watching the strange creature with worry. At the other side of the ruins were lying a bunch of harpy's bodies, catching the attention of the nearby rats and other small creatures. A twilight was approaching as she and the creature were watching the fire dance in the air. It's been almost whole day since the harpy accident, but he haven't said a single word yet... And yet whenever i try slip away, one glance at me is enough to keep me in place. How powerfull is he?

"You know..." Sunera started, catching his attention. "...You've said that you're from... Equestria?"

"...That is correct." He finally said after a few seconds of silence, which made Sunera sight in relieve.

"...So, how do you plan to get back?"

"I have no idea." She had yelped in surprise, earning a confused look from the draconequus.

"...W-what do you mean, you have no idea?" Sunera asked, trying to stay calm.

"I don't even know how i had appeared here, so how could i possibly know how to come back? Additionaly, i can learn now about new species in this world!" He said the last part with excitement.

"But... Isn't there someone who's missing you?"

"I think you have some problems with hearing." He said as he somehow made his ears grew, and some water started flowing from them. How is he doing it?! "I said i have no idea how could i get back... Though, now that you mention it..." Suddenly a chair appeared behind him as he sit on it and started making some smoke circles, his pipe never leaving his lips. A few minutes later he slowly stood up, a determined look on his face.

"...I think i know how i can get back, but i will need your help. I have left one unsettled case i should take care off..." He said as he made his way into the woods, Sunera quickly following him. What am i doing? I could just leave him there... Is it because i am afraid? Afraid of what he's capable of? ...I think i should follow him for now, to find out what are his intentions.

"What do you need me for?"

"Oh, i don't need you... I need your knowledge." He said as he suddenly turned around and caught Sunera with both his arms, holding her head in the air and looking her deep in the eyes. She could feel the pain in her head, like he was trying to crush her head. She screamed in pain, but after a few seconds everything stopped as he let her go. With a loud thump she hit the ground as the draconequus looked at her with a smirk.

"...What... What you had done to me?" She wishpered, feeling suddenly greatly exhausted.

"Oh, don't worry Sunera, you will be fine." Regone said with a wide, insane grin. Her eyes slowly widdened at the realization. ...How did he know... No way...

"What do you know?" She said with emotionless expression, which made him to drop his smile.

"Oh, from all the reactions i've seen so far, yours was surely the most boring!" He said while throwing his hands in the air. "Fine, i'll tell you. I've just learned everything you knew. Every. Single. Detail." He came closer to her witch each word he spelled. "And i have to say, i really don't like using this ability, but how could i know that you wouldn't lie to me again?" He said with a small smirk.

"...This is what you needed me for?"

"Of course! Now i know about this energy focus hidden somewhere in the ruins. This had to be the reason why the teleportation spell had took me there."

"Your... Teleportation spell?"

"Yes, my teleporttation spell! You see, before i've arrived here, i were... Let me say, in less comfortable place. I've been gathering power for millennials to be able to teleport away, but since the place i've been living at wasn't exacly very helpfull in that..." He said the last part with rather disgusted face. "...Anyway, it would take me at least a few hundred years more before getting enough of power for that, but i've found energy focus you've been searching for and used it's energy to supply myself, aaaaand... Here i am!" He said while lifting triumphantly his arms in the air. "So, now all i have to do is to find the similar focus in Equestria, and i think i know where that could be..."

He closed his eyes and focused on something, his face getting instantly serious. Alright, things are getting out of hand... It would be a good idea to slowly walk away now. She took a step back and at the same time Regone opened his eyes.

"Found it!" He said, making his pipe fell from his lips as he grabbed Sunera and took a strange pose, pointing his talon up in the sky while holding her with his second claw around her stomach. "To Equestria!" He said as the bright light quickly took over her vision, she could practicly feel parts of her body dissapearing.

Fluttershy suddenly opened her eyes, a sudden explosion could be heard somewhere outside her cottage. It was middle of the night, so she sleepily made her way outside to take a look what was that. When she peeked out of her door, there was nothing to be seen anywhere around.

"Hmm... I think it was just a dream." She said to herself as she made her way back into home.

A thick wave of dust and sand had surrounded them as they suddenly appeared in a really dark place. The only hearable sound was her coughing, somewhat echoing around her.

"W-where are we?" She asked the draconequus, who was standing still. If not the fact that he was still holding her, she wouldn't even know that he's still here.

"This is the place where a great battle had occurred a long time ago. Even after millennials, the energy in this place had never dissapeared..." He said as he made slowly his way somewhere.

"Why is here so dark? What is this place?"

"Ah, right, let me create something simple." He snapped with his fingers and a lantern had appeared in front of Sunera. She took it in her hands and at the same time it had lightened up. With confusion, she started to look around her.

"...This is some kind of a cave, isn't it?"

"That is correct, though i would be more careful if i was you."

"Why is that?"

"This cave is within an Everfree forest, a forest filled with magic, which also means magical creatures." Sunera slowly looked up at Regone, she could see now that he was looking at something in front of him. She slowly lifted her lantern this way.

...Only to reveal a huge, gigantic bear, which fur looked like a night sky.

"...And some of these creatures are attracted by this energy. Bigger the creature is, more attracted it gets." She actualy had to hold her mouth to not scream.

"In the name of Azure, what is that thing?" She whispered to him. It had to be sleeping, in other way they would be already dead.

"Ursa Minor, a legendary beast that lives only in places filled with magic. I'm not exacly surprised that one of them is here. This one is young though, the older one had to leave some time ago." She couldn't take her gaze off the huge bear in front of her.

"...Let's get out of here." Regone kept looking at the Ursa for a few more seconds before he slowly turned around and made his way in the other direction, Sunera right behind him all the time. After a while they could see already a huge entry to the cave, weak light of the moon peeking in and showing a bunch of bones lying on the ground. Once they had reached the light, Sunera instantly ran outside and fell on her knees.

"Futera Qu'rete, i'm alive... Thanks Azure for that."

"More like thanks to me." Draconequus said with a smirk from behind her. She slowly turned around to face Regone, an anger slowly appearing on her face.

"Where are we?! Where had you taken me?!"

"To Equestria, of course."

"Send me back!"

"I'm afraid that i can't do it right now. You see, i've wasted a lot of my energy to get there, it was beyond my possibilities to teleport from one dimension to another twice, if not for the fact that this cave was overfilled with power, it wouldn't even be possible for me to arrive here. It's going to take me days before i'll fully recover." At this moment something had snapped in Sunera.

"...You had suddenly came out of nowhere, wasting all the energy at the ruins which i could use to summon Azure back on Quertis. You had showed my position to the enemy, which could even end with my death at that moment. And now, you're telling me that you had TOOK ME AWAY FROM MY WORLD?!"

"Yes, exacly." Soon as he had said that, three arrows had pierced through his head, blood decorating almost whole entry to the cave. He stood for a few seconds, his eyes wide before a smirk had formed back on his face.

"You shouldn't have done that, Ursa bears are known from their great smell, especialy sensitive for blood." She was standing with mouth and eyes wide open, not being able to register what had just happened.

"B-but how are you s-still alive?"

"Eh, a waste of time... Oh well..." With that, he started walking away towards the woods. She now had just noticed what kind of place they are in. Trees blocking vision from all sides, darkness swallowing everything inside the forest. The entry to the cave was the only place without trees, where a moon light was slightly illumiating the place. A howling of some kind of an animal living there could be heard deep in the forest, from time to time something moved in the closest bush, and a load roar could be heard right behind Sunera.

...Wait, what?

Another roar filled the air as the huge bear made his way out of his cave, a fury visible in his eyes.

This time a sudden roar had woke up Fluttershy from her bed, shy pegasus instantly getting on her hooves and going downstairs.

"Mister Khurt, is that you? Are you hurt?" She ask kindly the sleeping bear, now awake by the weak poking of the mare. He slowly shook his head and went back to sleep.

"Oh dear... Was it something outside?" With that in mind, she made her way to the door, opening it slightly and peeking out. Once again, nothing was there.

"Hmmm... Strange things are happening this night..." She slowly made her way back into home, a worried by the incidents happening this night untill she went back to bed and fell asleep.

Sunera was running through the dark woods, branches breaking under her feet as she was running away from a legendary Ursa bear, who was destroying everything on his way simply by walking. Alright, focus Sunera. You've been trained to fight against enemies bigger than you, just take a deep breath, and... She made a mistake and slowed a little bit down, just in time to get hit by a paw of a powerfull bear. She flew over a few meters, and she would fly farther if not the tree in her way. She tried to catch her breath, slowly loosing conciousness. Right now she was defencless, and couldn't help but watch how the huge bear is going to eat her alive, or worse. Or...

Sunera used all her power to sit down and pulled her special arrow, hidden in her boot. Falling star, the most dangerous arrow on the whole Quertis... This should do. With that, she pulled the string and put the arrow in it, the black, poisonus juice already flowing from it's tip, the sign that she needs to shoot it right now, or she will get hurt as well. Ursa was standing right in front of her, already lifting it's paw to strike down the killing blow on Sunera.

Whistle of the arrow was the last thing Sunera could hear before she fell on the ground and fainted.

Actualy, it felt for her like she had just blinked. Suddenly it was already morning and the bear was nowhere to be found. When she looked over her body, she noticed that somehow she's not hurt anymore. In fact, she felt better than before! Who could have done that?

"Ah, finally you woke up!" The draconequus asked from above her, lying lazily on one of the branches. "Breakfast?" He asked as he tossed Sunera an apple.

"What... D-did you saved me?"

"Oh, not exacly, you see, i've just healed your wounds."

"Then what about this monster? Who had killed it?" A typical smirk had appeared on Regone's face.

"I hope you don't mean me this time, do you?" He recieved an angry glare from Sunera. "Fine, i see how it is. Anyway, it was you who killed the Ursa! Congratulations, you're officialy a criminal!" He said as a small party hat appeared at his and hers heads.

"I've... killed it?"

"Yes you did! With that arrow of yours, quite dangerous thing, i must say." Sunera instantly went pale.

"Oh no... We need to move, right now!" She said as she stood up. The spot on the ground where the poisonus juice was yesterday dropping was now black, all grass seemed to burned away from and around it. In the name of Azure, it's spreading faster than i thought!

"What do you mean? Fallen star should take at least 4 more days to destroy everything around the victim." Sunera stopped in her tracks, slowly turning her head towards the dragonequus.

"...How did you knew about the arrow?"

"I've read your thoughts, remember?" He said with a smirk.

"Right... What happened to your pipe?"

"Oh, i'm not smoking in here, something... unamusing would happen with the magic in this forest. Anyway, let's get to buisness - I've helped you, and i need your help now.

"...What kind of help are you talking about?" She asked while backing away slowly.

"Nothing big, i want you to give a letter to one of the inhabitants of the nearest village." He said as he gave Sunera a richly decoraded letter. Twilight Sparkle, The Ponyville Library. No mail adress?

"Why should i help you? All this wouldn't happen if you woulnd't bring me with you here!"

"Gah, party pooper... Fine, let it be your way, if you will help me, i'm going to send you back." Sunera once again looked at the letter, a worry growing within her.

"...Just to give it to one of them?"

"Yes, just that... For now." Her eyes narrowed as she put the letter in her sleeve.

"Alright, show me where is this village."

Sunera slowly made her way towards what looks like an elementary school, a little... ponies were running around and playing. Adults would be afraid of me, so i can only hope that one of kids wont be afraid of me. She was trying to stay hidden, walking from tree to tree untill she was already next to school. It was easier for her since the school was next to a park, but still the school itself was still too far away for her to just approach without catching anyone's attention additionaly. While thinking about her possible plan, a small light purple pony with blond mane had suddenly appeared out of nowhere and booped lightly Sunera's leg with her nose. She almost jumped, fear on her face when she turned around a noticed a little filly standing right behind her. Instantly her expression changed to happy as she bent to be on the eyes level with filly.

"Hey there little one, could you do something for me?"

"Good morning, uhmm... Miss... Could you tell me what are you?"

"...Maybe later, once you will do something for me." Filly hesitated for a moment, but after a while nodded with her head, a small smile showing on her face. No, i'm not going to tell her anything. "Here, take this letter and give it to the person it's adressed to." The filly looked at the letter for a few seconds before she nodded and grabbed the letter with her teeth, instantly galloping somewhere in the distance.

Sunera was walking through the forest for an hour before a realization hit her. I have no idea where are we supoused to met... Kak'ra mede, He tricked me!

"Finally!" A voice from behind her made Sunera jump in surprise. "I thought for a second that you've got lost! You did it?"

"Yes, i did it! Don't surprise me like that!"

"Very well, now comes the second part of my plan..." Before Regone could say anything else, Sunera was already face-to-face with him.

"What do you mean, second part of your plan?! We had a deal!"

"Yes, we had, and we still do! Just let me finish!" She took a few steps back, unamused look on her face. "Now, you see, the letter you've delivered was pretty much about asking a pony named "Twilight Sparkle" to meet with me... And this is also the part where you'll be going home!"

"Oh, how is that?" She asked as she leaned against a tree.

"You see, when you had left for your little quest, i've tried to get some informations on my own... As it came out, a link betwen Twilight Sparkle and the pony that i need to talk with is way stronger than i would thought. This will be really important in the future... But at first place, we gonna meet her soon."

"Meet her? How can you know that she will come?"

"Oh, i'm sure she will..." Regone said as he pulled from the grass next to him a small purple lizard-like creature.

"...You must be kidding me."

"Why would i?" Sunera couldn't help but facepalm at the moment.

"...You are insane, this is just straight cruel."

"World is cruel." He said with a wicked grin. "C'mon now, we don't want to be late, do we? You're supoused to see her in 30 minutes."

I sighed and grabbed a small, tied up dragon, putting him at my shoulder. I'm sorry little one, but i have no other choice at the moment.

"I still can't believe you've kidnapped a dragon!"

"You can't blame me for that, you wasn't sure if she will come yourself"

"I didn't meant it that way!"

"You also didn't meant to destroy the entire forest and the nearest village with a single arrow, didn't you?" She ignored the small gasp beside her as she continued glaring at the draconequus.

"Shut up! The disease won't kick in untill a day or two, they still have a chance to escape!"

"Shhhh, here she comes."

They both stopped talking as the purple pony slowly became visible betwen the trees, unsure look on her face.

"Alright, throw him out." Regone quietly wishpered to Sunera.

"What? Just like that?" When she tried to look at him, he was already missing, only the dragon was sitting there, tied up and next to him, a small piece of paper with what looked like an instructions written on it. With a deep sigh, she threw the dragon out of the bush. The purple pony instantly reacted and rushed towards him.

"Spike! Spike, are you alright?!" The dragon nodded, clearly looking worried. Sunera uncertain of what to do, looked at the paper she recieved. Ask for the things you asked. What?

"...Did you bring things i asked for?"

"...Yes, i did. Who are you?" Once again, a quick glance at the instructions.

"You don't need to know that yet... Let me say that you'll probably meet me soon. For now, you'll write a letter to the princess Celestia." While Twilight was trying to ungag her dragon, Sunera looked more closely through the instructions Regone left for her. Do not let them see you or know anything about you... Heh, i already lied to this dragon about me. Don't let the dragon try to say anything about our plan... No matter what, don't kill Twilight Sparkle... Don't~ Her thoughts were stopped when she heard dragon yell.

"Twilight, don't listen to him! He's planning to~" Before he could say anything else, Sunera shot a quick arrow right in front of him. Don't want to kill him, but can't let him say anything.

"Next time i won't miss."

Sunera was sitting at the top of a tree near the Ponyville, keeping her eye on the Library, and specifically on the pony and a dragon inside of it. I can't believe he tricked me once again. "You will follow the dragon and make sure he won't say anything and yadda yadda." This damned, little... Faer Khas Ta'ma! ...Am i supoused to spend here rest of my life? Is this what Azure wanted for me?

A sudden bright flash emanating from the Library made her blink in surprise, and as soon as it faded she tried to focus on what was happening inside.

Inside of the building was standing a huge, white pony with both wings and a horn. On her head was rested a crown.

...Princess Celestia?

Eua'Regone slowly made his way towards the Canterlot castle, disguised as one of the Celestia's royal guards, so nopony could recognize him. Not so long ago i could feel a lot of energy radiating from this place. He greatly knew that energy, this amount can be produced only when summoning something to this world. Was it you, Celestia? Or maybe it was your darker sister? It doesn't really matter to me, all i want is to see what had you done. With a slowly forming grin on his face, he walked past the massive doors leading into the castle.

Sunera watched as the magic bolt hit the dragon, giving him a little shine. Doesn't this pony know that dragons are magic resistance? Whatever she did, this wont work. She could read from the lip movement, but... obviously it worked differently for the ponies, so she could be able only to read what the dragon was saying, and from what she had readed, he's going to tell them everything. Only try...

"So, he~" At the same moment when he opened his mouth, an arrow was already on it's way to him. What Sunera didn't expected, was that the arrow, just as it was about to pierce through dragon's head, changed it's direction and hit something out of her sight. What the... For the love of Azure, please don't tell me it had hit the princess!

Everything inside seemed to freeze for a moment, before Spike started talking again. He's talking! But i can't risk the fact that i might hit Celestia! What am i supoused to do!? She watched in defeat as the dragon had told the princess about everything.

"...And his face is, like, the most disgusting~" No you didn't. She thought as another arrow flew through the window, once again hitting different direction. ...What am i doing?! She looked over her shoulder to look if someone's not watching. Streets seemed to be full of ponies, but none of them had noticed her, or arrows flying through the sky. At least i'm not spotted yet.

When she turned around, they weren't in the Library anymore.

"Oh, don't worry about that, my dear... I knew you would fail sooner or later." Regone said with probably the most innocent voice possible.

"But... Wh... Then what now?"

"Oh, let me think... The forest is too dangerous already to be living in it, after your little... gift, you left there. Ponies probably wont be very glad to see you, especially with what's happening lately... Oh well, i gues you should go now."

"Go? Where?"

"Home." Sunera's eyes widened.

"You... You mean..."

"Yes, to the Quertis. To your home." She instantly were in front of him, an angry look on her face.

"This better bot be another one of your stupid jokes, becase i swear, i will~" He had stopped when suddenly a gate appeared next to her, a gate that she was familiar with.

"...Is it..."

"Yes, indeed. This is a door to your home." Sunera slowly took a few steps forward and put her hand on a knob. A wooden, smooth surface, with a little 'WE' carved out on it, a symbol of Wooden Elfes. Then she looked at herself. Her clothes tattered, most of her knifes and other light weapons missing, cuts and bruises all around her arms and legs. A month outside in the battlefield haven't done the same to her as two weeks of living in the forest in a different world. Unsure of what's going to happen, she reached the knob and opened the door. Next thing she saw was a blinding, bright light.

I was already standing in front of a Luna chambers. It seems that Celestia had left before i've arrived here, so i can gues that Luna was the one who summoned something new. Full of excitment, i entered her chambers, spear held high and trying to look as serious as i can.

"Princess! We had recieved a task to watch you over this night, it seems that there's someone in the castle trying to assault you." To my dissapointment, there was only Luna sitting on her bed, looking through the window.

"Oh? Very well then, i'll remain in my chambers untill the assaulter will be found in that case." Oh c'mon, where did you hide it? Or maybe it's invisible, like ghosts? In that case i would be able to spot it with my magic. He focused for a moment but didn't spotted any magic creature. Damn it! If you think you'll play with me like that, then you're wrong! His disguise slowly began to fade away, revealing his true form. Luna looked at him with fear in her eyes, starting to back away towards the window.

"Don't even think about this, my dear. I've definitely felt a summoning magic here, so now tell me kindly, what had you summoned?" He said, trying to stay calm.

"I'm afraid i have no idea what you're talking about, Eua'Regone. Maybe Celestia was right, and you are indeed insane just like your descendant?" She said the last part with a daring grin.

"Oh please, don't compare me to him... Why can't you and Celestia see the difference betwen us? He was evil, and i just wanted to know everything!"

"Wait... how do you know that the Discord was..."

"Oh please, i created him, obviously i had a connection with him, at least partialy. Can't you really see that i was doing a good thing?"

"Yes, by enslaving everypony and taking the knowledge by force! And don't think we've forget what had happened to Starswil!"

"Enough!" He yelled in anger, whole castle slightly shaking from the power of his voice. "Where did you hide it?!"

"Why don't you try and find it?" Luna said with a grin as she suddenly flew through the window, flying through the night.

"Damned whorse, using her ability to see in the dark like that... I can gues she's not hiding it in this room in that case... Did she let it leave just like that?"

"Fu'ri ma,
De'ra ze,
Fu'ri de'ra ze! You're searching!"

"Aww, again?"

Sunera watched little elves play in the distance, a small smile forming on her face. She didn't really expected Regone to send her 'literaly' to her home village where she was born, it's been two days since she had came back to Quertis, but she still feels like she had forgotten something... Like she haven't done something she was supoused to do back on this strange world of Equestria. Leaving this thought at the second place, she enjoyed the calm, warm day.

"Soldiers says that you've been missing for 2 weeks, and then you suddenly arrive here just like that, without any stories to tell? That doesn't really seem fair to me." Her father approached her from behind and sat next to her. He was a tall, thin elf with brown, long hair and bear, his typical grey tunic with a brown belt showing that he just came back from the forest. He was a lumberjack, working hard every day for the family.

"Please, it's nothing i would like to talk about."

"Obera Ta'mete?"

"Indeed." She sighed, letting her head fell in her arms. "I just wish none of that would've happened."

"You know, sometimes things that doesn't seem to be good, often brings with them something way better than expected. I don't know what had happened, but maybe one day... You will see it in a different way."

"You're right, you don't know what happened." They were quiet for a while untill someone from the village came with a sword in his hand.

"Puert? What's going on?" Her dad instantly asked once he saw him approach them.

"Dark elfes! Prepare for the battle!"

"Ah, welcome. You're the first one to arrive here."

"Uhm... W-what?" Nick took a step back, looking at the calm stallion in front of him.

"Well, you still have..." He looked for a moment at the counter, where a single clock with partialy broken shield was resting, but apparently was still working. "...Around five hours before everyone will arrive, so why don't you do something for me?"

"...What are you talking about? Who are you?"

"You will see, in five hours. For now, how do you feel about a little task?"

Sunera made her way through the destroyed streets of her village, dead bodies of both wooden elfes and dark elfes all around her. Buildings around her were set on fire, screams could be heard from time to time deep into the village. Her leg was pierced, but she still was walking towards the town. She had to fight. She had to defend her family. She could not fail.

Another scream filled the air as suddenly a wooden elf fell through the window of one of the burning houses. The dying, burning form was slowly crawling towards the Sunera, whinning in pain with each movement of his body. When finally he reached her, he grabbed her leg and lifted his head, looking with tearfull eyes at her.

"Please... Help me..." An arrow coming from the same building he fell from pierced through his head. Sunera instantly kneeled and searched for an enemy. At the same moment the dark elf peeked through the broken window, an arrow pierced his chest, hitting directly his heart. A thump could be heard from outside the building as she started once again limping through the streets. I... Need... To save them...

A bright flash of light in front of her made her stumble, felling on the ground with a loud scream of pain. Once she had recovered, she looked in front of her. There, just like before, was standing a gate. The same gate that Regone had made. Suddenly she could feel something appear in her grasp. When she looked at it, it came out to be a richly decoraded letter. With growing dread in her she opened the letter, revealing the small piece of paper with a short message.

Dear Sunera Wintermoon
Enter this portal. I need your help, just like you need my help. Let's help eachother.
With best wishes
A friend.

She readed the message a few more times before she looked once again at the gate in front of her. With a loud gulp, she slowly started making her way towards the portal.

A wise elf once said "Sometimes things that doesn't seem to be good, often brings with them something way better than expected". The war begins, but i still remain beyond the battlefield.
