The Remnets

The waistland a truly unforgiving place filled with nothing but the memories of a long seance dead society. Even before Celestia walked on its solid ground their was another civilization here one not recorded by even the oldest books of equestrian history. So to understand we must  go back eighty million years into the past.

War has broke out in New York the sound of gun fire and bombs filled the air as a scientist retreats into an almost destroyed building. Walking in he see's the many bullet holes that has  marked their way into the wall along with a dirt and glass covered floor. Paying no mind to the room the scientist walks from one side of the building to the other. Only to stop and look out the window to see the street he once called home in ruins. The friends he laughed with ,the family  he  loved he was never going to see them again. Shaking his head and whipping a few tears from  his  eyes he continued having the mindset of getting to the basement. Stopping in a large living room he looked around and thought back to simpler times when he and his daughter sat and he would watch Sunday morning cartoons with her.

Whipping more tears he cleared his mined and got back to his set objective while he quivered under his breath "if only we could go back, but i'll see you soon anyway Abigail, you and  mommy both."

He then looked down to see the brown rug they had in the living room. He moved the rug to  the side to reveal a hidden door to the basement. Opening the door all the way out so he could esaly get in for this would be the last he would ever open the door. Walking down the set of steps he was ready to accept his fate but not without getting unfinished business out of the way. When he reached the bottom floor there was two containers. Both were made to hold up against the strongest of explosions. The scientist grazed his hand over the engraved label on the pod. He took a deep breath and said without fidgeting "you are our only hope now Adam, protect the future, if their is one."

He went over to the table at the far end of the room and checked the recording equipment. All the equipment was made to last and survive a bomb so hopefully it'll be intact when they wake up. After checking what he needed to he stated back to the stairs. He looked back to wonder if they will succeed it's up to themselves now.

Walking back up stairs he closed the seller door and took one good long look around his  living  room then peered outside his window. looking strait forward he see's his death dropping miles away. With only seconds left of his life he was ready for it. To which he say's his final words "this is the mark of humanity's demise, let whoever comes next see the error of our ways and gods speed to Adam and Eve."

His final words said the bomb strikes the earth and just like the the world went silent.

Eighty million years later

Town: canterlot

Time: 1:00 p.m

Twilight sparkle and her five friends Rainbow Dash, Pinki pie, Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy all exited the train to Canterlot and were walking towards the castle. An irritated Rainbow Dash,with her hands behind her head and flicking her tail walks up beside Twilight and ask's "tell me why were here again Twi?"

Twilight adjusting her glasses say's "Dash were here because Princess Celestia sent me a letter saying it was urgent."

Dash in the same tone"ya well couldn't she had picked a different day the summer sun celebration is coming up and I need to put in as much practice as possible, the wonder bolts are gonna be their and I have to put on my best act."

After Dash said her behalf Pinki chimed in "ya and besides Dash you said you would wow Sorin with the new tank top you bought for him, though I don't know why you would buy him a shirt a girl would wear?"

Rainbow clearly blushing "Pinki how did you know that!?"

Pinki answered with a coy smile "oh Rarity told me when I was at the spa with her."

Rainbow looking back at and shouting still with the blush "Rarity!"

Rarity with a frown says "I'm sorry darling, but you know how I get with gossip sometimes, I just can't help myself."

Applejack with a almost knowing smile says "gosh Dash your face went more red then Bigmac when she mentioned that somthi'n you ain't tellen us"

Rainbow looking more than anions to change the subject dose so quickly "So Twilight you said Celestia needed us!?"

Twilight answering "yes but I have a strange feeling that she was hesitent, as if she wasn't sure to call on us first."

Fluttershy being next to talk says "hesitent about what if you don't mind me asking?"

Twilight in a somewhat worried tone "I don't know but whatever it is it could be dangerous if it has the princess spooked."

Fluttershy then says nonchalantly "oh well I think hear Spike calling for help i'll just go back and check-"

Fluttershy being cut off and pushed back forward by Aj "oh no you don't shy we were called by the princess we have to help anyway we can."

Shy realizing this she took a deep breath and said "OK I can do this"

Dash now restored pride said "ya lets kick flank and take names whatever distressing our princess well take care of it no problem!"

"YAY" everyone exclaimed in unison.

Then all six girls move on to the castle feeling ready for anything. But little did they know that not even Celestia herself could not see or undo the events that were to unfold.
