Chapter 1
I was greeted by a girl with pure pink hair, which was strange, since I remember a pony by the name of Pinkie Pie back in Ponyville; I was curious how this was possible. “You must be the guy Principal Celestia was talking about,” the girl said to me with a smile that made me smile as well. “My name is Pinkie Pie and I’ll help you with all the fun and excitement that is Canterlot High School.”
This made me wonder for a few minutes. I forgot about it and said, “Well it’s nice to meet you, Pinkie Pie. I’m Lightningrush.”
She gave me another smile and told me to follow her around to her classes. The first class was relative to math, which was my all time favorite subject. Along with that, another girl, who had beautifully styled purple hair, came over to sit next to me and Pinkie Pie. The teacher didn’t care, since the girl was one of the most beautiful girls in the school. The bell rang after forty minutes or so. After a seconds, the girl said, “Hey, you’re the new guy right? My name is Rarity and I’ll be happy to make acquaintances with you.”
“A pleasure to meet you,” I said to her. “My name is Lightningrush.”
“Well it’s nice to meet you as well, Lightningrush,” Rarity said, going off to her next class.
I didn’t get it; how are there a Pinkie Pie and a Rarity in this world? I went along with Pinkie and followed her to another class that was Biology, some subject about life and organisms. I was greeted by the teacher and the students, giving gave my face a smile. Like the other class, it lasted for about the same time, so I really had no complaints about what to do; take notes and learn.
Another girl sat next to me, who seemed to remind of a country girl; she was a bit on the apple farming side, which was rather odd to say, knowing Applejack was like that back in Ponyville. “Well hello there, new guy,” she said to me with a smile. “My name’s Applejack.”
“I’m Lightningrush, hope we could be friends, Applejack,” I said to her, the bell just ringing.
I continued along with Pinkie to an open area: the gym. What I saw shocked me.

Prologue
My Brother and I got along well in this strange, new world. The rumors of a portal to a different world seemed to be true, but neither of us ever believed it at the time; it looked like an ordinary mirror, but it wasn’t a normal mirror. The mirror stood about the size of a five foot nine inch animal and it opens once every thirty-six moons, in which if you aren’t out of the other world by the third day at midnight, you would be in there for thirty-six moons.
It never bugged me that I was different in the other world, filled with creatures that not even my mentor had seen. We arrived only yesterday and we plan to stay for the thirty-six moons to learn about this new world. It was a land of biped creatures, which was standing on two legs, but where I come from, it is unusual to stand on two legs; all of us stood on four legs.
My brother, named Darkthunder, and I along with my mentor, Bluespark, came to this place to learn more of multiple worlds. “Brother, this is a risky situation here; everypony will worry for us back in Ponyville,” Darkthunder said to me, examining his new form. “Our friends will worry if we don’t return.”
“Chill out, Darkthunder,” Bluespark explained to my brother. “You and Lightningrush will get along fine here, except for the fact we don’t have our powers; be aware of that. Either way, welcome to this other world, where I have no clue what will or can happen.”
“Besides,” I said, trying to get use to my new form. “Even when we return, everypony will be astonished on what we find here. Now, shall we begin?”
“Right,” Bluespark continued on. “We will stay for the thirty-six moons, and we return when the portal reopens on the first day. Regardless, when we enter the school, I’ll be showing you around Darkthunder.”
Before long, the three of us entered the new school to start our studies. Maybe, I could make new friends.
