Arrival
Ari woke up early the next morning ready to take on Ponville. Her mother had told her to fly high above Ponyville when you're in changeling form, or else somebody will see you. She was going to follow her mother's advice. She looked out her window, and started to fly. She looked at the rising sun and cringed a little, the only place outside the castle she'd ever been was the Everfree forest, and that was at night! She looked around and felt a small breeze. As she was approaching ponyville, she flew high in the sky. Suddenly, with a loud THUMP! A purple alicorn has bumped into her. She panicked and transformed into a butterfly. Then, still in panic, she quickly flew down to the ground.
It wasn't like Ari wasn't used to alicorns, in fact, she saw them every day around the hive! She looked around carefully, and looked at the dazed alicorn. She was holding a book and she had a cutie mark that looked a lot like a star. She rolled her eyes and slowly fluttered down to the schoolhouse. She saw three fillies, or was it two? She couldn't tell if the Third one was a colt or not. She saw a pegasus filly who looked quite like her. Perfect. She transformed into a small green dot and flew up in front of the filly. Being the dumb pony she was, the filly ran after the small dot. Suddenly, she transformed, and wrapped her up in a web, then transformed into her. She walked slowly back to the school as she heard the bell ringing.

The Hive
Ari woke up to the sound of buzzing outside her door. " Oh come on morning already!" said Ari. She slowly untucked her ripped covers and hopped out of bed. She could hear her mother criticizing one. Ever since Cadence's and Shining Armor's wedding, they've had to be more careful. She looked in her mirror and made sure her bright green hair was matted straightly on her head. She walked through the halls, head high, yelling whenever she saw someone slouching, "MY MOTHER WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS!!"
Eventually she made her way to the throne room. "Ahh hello my sweet child" said Queen Chrysalis smiling. "Can you help me train the troops? They really need training. TRAIN THEM NOW!!!" Ari rolled her eyes and said calmly "ok ok, no need to scream." she was completely oblivious that she was doing the same exact thing less than 5 minutes ago.WHY CAN SHE NOT SEE THIS! ahem, back to the story. She was halfway down the hall when she thought practicing flying might be a good idea. She flapped her small, broken wings, and started to hover off the ground. She zoomed past everyone else and felt the wind beneath her hair. She slowly landed by a large door.
She opened it up wide with her horn and looked at the changelings. As she walked in, a few changelings cowered in fear, while others stood up straight and tried not to do anything that would upset her. "Well, well, well, look what we have here. A bunch of wittle babies curled up on the ground. GET UP!" The changelings quickly hopped to their feet "That's better, now, transforming 101, after that incident , we've had to be much more sneaky. Therefore you must  act as much like your target as possible. You must study their personality's before you strike." The changelings nodded quickly and silently.  She headed back into the throne room and saw her mother reading a rather large map.
"Ahhhh... my darling! I have a plan for you" Queen Chrysalis said smiling. " We are sending you to ponyville!" Ari's mouth popped open. "WHAT?! THEY'LL KILL ME!" Queen Chrysalis looked at her carefully and chuckled a little. "I thought you would be brighter than this. You are going in disguise of course. You are the future changeling queen, so you must get food for the hive. Listen, transform into the first mare you see. Then use that disguise to transform into a suitable filly. Remember your training!" she nodded and quickly said " I won't let you down!" She ran into her bedroom and started packing immediately.
