Flutter and big mac's birth

About an hour later, there was a knock at the door. “Come in,” Mac said.
Nurse Redheart walked in and smiled at them. “Anything I can get you mam?”
Flutter looked at the nurse, slightly out of breath. “Um I wouldn’t mind more pillows, water, and another check.”
Redheart nodded. “Would you like the doctor or I to check?”
She shrugged and whispered. “Well, um it doesn’t matter.”
Redheart left the room and returned with pillows carried on her back and a pitcher of ice water in one hoof. She laid the pillow near Fluttershy and set the water on the table. She washed her hooves, and put gloves on. “Ready for me to check you?” Fluttershy nodded and blushed as she moved her tail aside. The nurse carefully checked her. “You are about six and a half centimeters,” She said before pulling her hoof out and throwing the glove away. “You are doing great Mrs. Fluttershy,” the nurse said. “The first time is almost always slow, but you are handling it well. Need anything else?”
Fluttershy groaned as she looked at Mac. “Can you leave us, nurse?”
“Okay. If you need anything at all, buzz me,” She said rubbing Fluttershy’s back for a second before turning and leaving.
“Mac, this is going so slowly that I don’t know if I can do this,” she said as she looked at Mac.
“You are doing great Flutter. You heard Red, the first ones are slow. I don’t want you to give up on something you want as much as this. I know you are doing great, and I would hate to see you in more pain if they tried to speed it up.”
She hid her face in her arms and cried. “I…I…I’m scared,” she finally admitted.
“You have a right to be scared Flutter, but that doesn’t change that no matter what I won’t leave you.” He was beside the bed, holding her and rubbing her belly. “I know you want it to be natural with no medications that could potentially affect the foal. Also, I know how in pain you are and how scared you are…. if there were anything more I could do to remove the pain from your body I would. I promised you I would keep you from the drugs no matter how much you begged and I am going to keep that promise.” She looked at him as she cried. She tried to speak her feelings, but the emotions kept her from doing so. She spoke with her lips instead. “I love you so much,” she whispered.
He returned the kiss. “I love you more than anything, and I will love our foal too. I just want you both happy and healthy.”
She smiled before moaning in pain again and going into her Lamaze breathing.
“Hooo,hooo,hooo,hooo….”
“That’s it, you know what to do,” He said continuing to rub her back while kissing her neck. “I am here for you,” he said again.
