Corporal Randel Oland suffered for years on Earth, fighting for the rights of others. Fighting for their freedom, with that blasted Thing on his hip. They would recieve freedom. He never would. Not until he died and woke in another world.
Corporal Randel Oland, Section Three, Army Intelligence; formerly 901st ATT. A tower of a man, brought low time and time again by the lantern at his hip. He could never be free of it, not until he died. He didn't think he could die.
Until he did. And woke up in a new world, filled with new creatures, who might just not fear him. He might finally get his peace there.
Or he might find himself an enemy of an entire nation, without backup.
