Theorizing that one could travel to other dimensions by taking over the body of themselves, Doctor Twilight Sparkle led an elite group of scientists into Canterlot to develop a top secret project, known as PROJECT FRIENDSHIP. Pressured to prove her theories or lose funding, Doctor Sparkle, prematurely stepped into the Elemental Rainbow and vanished. She awoke to find herself in another dimension, unable to control it and facing strangers who are her friends. Fortunately, contact with her own dimension was made through brainwave transmissions, with Spike, the Project Observer and Scribe, who appeared in the form of a hologram that only Doctor Sparkle could see and hear. Trapped in the new worlds, Doctor Sparkle finds herself leaping from life to life, spreading and observing the magic of friendship and hoping each time, that her next leap will be the leap home.
