//-------------------------------------------------------// Dexter -by Mitchell John- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Dexter //-------------------------------------------------------// Dexter I've always hated weddings. Well, not hated I just don't understand them. Mabye it's because I can't feel 'love.' Mabye it's because I kill killers. It doesn't matter. Honestly, this is the first wedding I've been to. I'm not here for the cake, not here to celebrate. I don't even know the Bride and Groom. Well, everypony has heard of ser Shining Armour and Princess Cadance. I've been tracking a killer. He kills less important mares such as homeless ones and moves up the chain eventually murdering a member of the Royal Family. I didn't realise his last victims were a pattern, but eventually I found his diary. It mentioned all of them but I had to obey the Code. It took a while, but eventually I found evidence... this monster is efficient and has been doing this for a long time. His recent victims have been consistent with his pattern and its only obvious that this would be where he kills next. I need to find him though, I have a kill room ready and my best bet to spot him is to keep an eye on Princess Cadance. He'll be watching her too. Before the ceremony itself is a small celebration. It's all part of a ritual... I know how important it is to maintain a ritual. I kept a watchful eye on Cadance as she greeted her guests and her soon to be sister in laws friends. Apparently there was drama at a rehearsal and Twilight Sparkles not attending the ceremony... I don't really care. All I care about is the kill. A thing  note about me is that I enjoy this. The hunt... it keeps me satisfied. I caught a glimpse of the killer. Mr. Green Grass. He was watching the Princess with a hunger. It would happen soon, when she was alone. He was walking toward her, when I bumped into him on purpose. "Oh, sorry." He said. I decided that if he was out for the kill he might be emotionally vulnerable I usually am in the kill room after all my victims are the only ponies I don't lie to. "Watch where your walkin'" I said aggressively. He adorned an angry expression then said "I'll put you in the ground if you talk to me like that again, understand?" He was right in my face about it, and sounded angry but he was quiet Smirking, I responded "Let's do it. The west garden is empty. Bring it if your such a big shot..." He looked back and forth between me and the Princess and angrily said. "Alright then, let's do it." We walked to the garden if not a bit cold heartedly. As soon as we walked into the empty garden, I swiftly I injected him with tranquilizer. He next woke up in an empty room far from Canterlot: in his Ponyville home. I was ready, he was on the table my tools were close at hoof. Eventually he woke up. "Where the hay am I?" He said, in a surprisingly calm tone. He looked around though his head was taped down. I walked up from behind him and cut his face with a knife. He squirmed, but didn't scream. "You are in your grave." I said coldly. "Well, your not going to have a grave. You'll have your own spot in a swamp in the Evergreen Forest with some new friends to keep you company." I stuffed the cotton in his mouth with magic before he could respond. "Do you remember their names? Your victims. I do, every single one. I cam understand your urges but I learned to channel it. Your going to be nothing more that fish food in a while. Prepare for the end..." I put some of the blood from his cheek on a blood slide. He tried to speak, but I interrupted him. I stuck the knife in his neck... and he spoke no more. I smiled. I didn't enjoy the kill so much ad I enjoy the feeling afterwards. The feeling of... I can't really describe it. It's like having control over death the hold it has on the lives of others. And how easy it is to snuff out a life. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Ritual. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Ritual. I realize that in my excitement I may have forgotten indtroducions. My name's Dexter Morgan. I'm not sure why I am the way I am,I just know that it removed all sense of emotion... I'm not unhappy about this though. I've always found that emotions cause weakness. I'm also the killer of killers. I fake every single emotion and I fake them very well. The code of Harry Morgan keeps me in check...insures I don't go beyond my boundaries. I enjoy killing but I could never kill an innocent. Especially not a filly. The first rule of the Code: Don't get caught. The number one rule is to ensure my survival thus the first rule. The second rule: NEVER kill without conclusive evidence. I pick a possible target and vet them, find evidence. Any evidence, then I prepare a kill room. Plastic sheets, stops any blood from getting on the floor. The key is to cause a missing pony investigation, not a murder investigation. For a stallion who believes in no higher power, I understand the importance of ritual. When it should be upheld.. and it may be time once again. Mr. Cake... runs a bakery lovely donuts, my favorite. A few months ago his wife and son went missing and he claims to have saw nothing. Yet I can see it in his eyes, he doesn't feel regret. He has the same look in his eyes as I do. "Mornin' Dexter!" He happily said, as I walked to the counter. "Good morning Mr. Cake." I responded enthusiastically. "Same as usual." He nodded, and he pulled out the donuts. "Had them ready for you." I'll remember if I kill you. He smiled and I took them using my magic. "So I'm a regular now?" I asked and he nodded enthusiastically. I heard a bell, then Mr. Cake sighed and said "That's the cupcakes ready." He said in a tired tone. "You should try them there's a new recipe." I nodded. "I'll be sure to. Anyway, gotta go tell Pinkie I said 'Hi.'" Or don't, I find her kind of annoying. I left the bakery, and walked to my work. I work at the Apple Orchard. Not the best job, I know. I used to be a blood spatter analyst in Canterlot but things changed.b I keep in touch with the guards that's how I get access to those who are suspects, and those who are not. I walked past the train station, where a train stopped. Nopony on interest on board. I'd vet Mr. Cake for the murder after the work day. Everypony kept trophies, even me. My blood slides. I find that blood is the only thing that keeps the chaos at bay. The only thing.
