The Tale of Two Princesses

Cadence looked at her swollen belly with a weak smile, giant bags underneath her eyes. Who knew it  could be so uncomfortable to sleep with a giant bump? Suddenly she felt a tug, it was light at first, but it grew stronger very quickly. Her eyes widened as she realized what was happening.

“SHINING! WE’RE GOING TO NEED A CARRIAGE!!!!!!”

Cadence lay inside her hospital bed, a moan escaping her lips. Nurses and doctors all bustled around the room, finding excuses why to be in there, although it was obvious that they just wanted to be able to see the newest born princess. Cadence’s brow furrowed as the baby tried to push it’s way out. Suddenly, the baby came out. With it came a very, very, very loud wail. Despite the baby bawling, Cadence smiled, not just a soft smile, it was a big toothy grin. She finally had her own baby.

Deep in the Badlands, another birth of royalty was going on in a certain Changeling Hive.

Chrysalis was panicking, and not just worried panic, she was full blown panicking! Changelings often could not tell when they were pregnant until the day the baby was destined to be born. That could often times be very annoying. Like right now. Chrysalis was about to have a baby, the only problem was that she was not prepared at all! For instance, where was the baby to sleep? All the rooms in the hive were already in use, unless Chrysalis was willing to share her room. Or how was she going to feed it? She barely had enough love in the hive to give everyling a decent amount of food. And how was she even going to deliver it? Chrysalis suddenly felt a painful tug, the baby was trying to come out.

“STORMY SEA! GET HELP IMMEDIATELY!”

Chrysalis groaned as the baby squeezed it’s way out of her belly. Everything was silent, then a bawling filled the air.

Six Years Later.

Cadence’s six year old filly, Skyla, bounced up and down one of the roads of Ponyville with a ginormous smile plastered onto her face. Today was her sixth birthday! When her parents asked her what she wanted, she immediately used that as an excuse to see Aunt Twilight and her Ponyville friends.

"I'm going to see Starry Moon and Sun Glow and Shy Sky then have a big sleepover with lots and lots of cake from the Cakes and then Pinkie can make it like a party and it's going to be so fun!" Skyla said to Cadence with more enthusiasm."Maybe we can go on a treasure hunt in the Everfree!"

"Skyla. Your not allowed in the Everfree." Shining dead-toned.

"Why not!? You said that ever since the elements blasted Luna, the Everfree has become more tame!" Skyla whined.
