Nero Moon's Life
Prolouge: The Book
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe end is never really the end just the beginning of something greater, and all beginnings start with an end.
It was a nice and peaceful day in Equestria I was at the old library so I could pick out the rest of the books that weren't torn or had half the pages missing, I would find said books then bring them back to Twilght. The library was dark I could barely see my steel grey hooves if it wernt for my light spell emiting off the tip of my horn. Why Twilight wanted me of all ponies is beyond-
*BOINK* My train of thought was cut short by a rather heavy object hitting me in the head. I look down to see a big black book with no writing on it. "What the... no title... or author! well that really gives me lot of bucking info about this-" As I was talking to the air some pony was tugging on my saddle bag.
"Hey dad did you find anything" said a mare unicorn, it was my daughter Caroline "Oh what’s that! Hmm no title or author. Well what’s the book about" My daughter was easily visible in the dark library, light or no light, thanks to her white coat and her glowing horn which were making her steel eyes and a bright yellow mane and tail glow and glisten in our combined light.
"Well Caroline let’s find out" then i took the book in my magical grasp and walked with Caroline to find a suitable place to read. We came across some ruined chairs. I walked to the nearest chair sat down and opened the mysterious book to the first page to be greeted by a quote. I leaned back in the old chair, as Caroline was laying on the floor in front of me, and I read the strange quote.
(The Story)
They say a Soul of the dammed cannot love or feel compassion for another, they say the dammed soul may never feel joy, sadness, hate, jealous, or pain.
‘They’ were wrong...
(The Library)
Before I could continue Caroline aske me a question "Dad what’s a dammed soul?"
"A demon or a half-demon or even a Nelphlim."
"Oh. Dad"
"Yes"
"Whats a Nelphlim?"
"Well a Nelphlim is a mix of a demon and an angel and sometimes a demon, angel, and pony"
"Oh ok"
"Anyway back to the book." I then flipped the page. At the top of the page in thick bold letters read "Chapter 1: Fire"
(The Story)
Fire, Fire destroys everything and kills every pony immortal and mortal, fire burns through every soul leaving nothing left.
Every pony has a flame inside them; the flame has no regret, never thinks twice, takes full control over one’s body and has the need to kill. Every sweet and innocent soul has darkness inside them, aka a demon. This story is about a Pony who must confront said flame, and finds more trouble along the way. Now the story will truly Began.

"Sweet!" my daughter said throwing her hooves in the air in joy.
"Well... first we need to find more books, twilight asked us to get some books not read them"
"Aww" said the white little unicorn filly remembering the task the alicorn princess has asked us to do.
"Come on its not like im going to stop reading. We will read some after we find some more books we already have four."
"Fine, but dad."
"Yes?"
"Can we share this story with the others?"
"Yes, this might be an interesting story to share with them"
"Awesome"
I smiled and let out a small chuckle before saying "Come on dork."
After that we set off, both of us taking off in different directions of the old library, I went to the west end, and she took the east, we both ended up getting a total of eight books, then came back
to the spot where we started our mysterious book.
"Okay now can we continue?" said the excited unicorn
"Yes, let’s continue this fine story." I reopened the book to the last page we left of and contiued reading... for about 12 seconds.
(Story)
This is the story of a Mare Pegasus whose life has been more brutal than others, this is the story of
Nero Moon
(Library: that was quick)
“Moon!”
“Who?”
“You know Nero the…um... special pegasus”
“huh?” my daughter said with a confused look on her face
“Urgh, The mare with the guitar-” before I could say anything her eyes widened and she quickly said
“OH! Her”
“Yes, her, anyway back to the story”
(Story)
Nero Moon’s life is a somewhat… complicated life, filled with (very few) ups and (very many) downs. The life of Nero Moon can be described in few words, hard, unfair, hellish, sad, brutal, but you’re not reading this to read a few word so I will not just describe small bits of her story, but tell you every little detail.
Nero Moon’s story starts at the Manehatten Orphanage Center (MOC), but how did she end up there. Remember how I was talking about fire well Nero’s home town was destroyed by a massive fire that killed her Parents and her sister, as I said fire destroys everything and everypony leaving, nothing but for Nero that particular fire left a mark, a deep engraving mark that will never go away. So after that terrible fire Nero made it into a city in Manehatten, the city name still unknown to Nero to this day, and almost immediately she was found.
“Come on little fillies and colts lets head-”
“um Mrs. Care whose that” were the soft words coming from a small brow colt tugging on Mrs. Cares back hoof while pointing to a crying black Pegasus who had burn marks all over her body. Mrs. Care was one of the nicest nurses at the M.O.C, and she was completely white with a red mane and tail
“Whose- oh my!” exclaimed Mrs. Care as she saw a young black Pegasus sitting on the side walk crying, She trotted over to the crying, wounded, and lost mare Pegasus, Nero.
“Are you okay, what happened to you, where are your parents” after the nurse asked her question Nero looked up. Her crying died down, she took a small breath.
“T-the f-f-f-fire” was all Nero could say before she continued crying. Then the nurse said nothing and just wrapped her fore hooves around Nero in a tight hug
“It’s all right little one, ill bring you to the orphanage and you’ll have a wonderful new home I promise…” Nero didn’t say anything just slowly nodded while crying into the white nurses coat. After Nero let out her tears her and the nurse broke the hug.
"So whats your name?" Nero wiped her face from any tears still left then answered the nurses question
"Nero" she said "Nero Moon"
"Oh, well I can tell you Nero that you will be in good care with me" Nero was happy that somepony would just help her without question "By the way I'm Mrs. Care" the nurse added. After their little chat Nero, Mrs. Care, and the rest of the fillies and colts all made their way for Nero's new home. There it was, Nero could see the orphanage down the road. It was a fairly large building with fillies and colts all playing outside having fun with chalk, jump ropes, and a swing set that had at least six swings. Nero just took one look at the building and knew she was once again going to be happy, not as happy as she was when she was with her family but still she would be happy, and that was good enough.

“Wow…” The once excited mare now had a sadden look on her face.
“Well, her life honestly wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.”
“no, no it wasnt.”
“Well. Looks like the story gets a lot happier from here on out!” I knew I was somewhat wrong, Nero’s story (or the little bits she had told us) was not a very happy one
“well that’s good” Caroline knew that the story was only going to stay happy for one or two paragraphs maybe even a couple of sentences at the most
“Yep well lets hope that there are no surprises waiting for us like some pony randomly dies or something” That was inevitable. Nero told us how she saw ponies die her whole life whether it be ponies she cared about or ponies who royally pissed her off, still death is a thing now pony can escape not even in stories.
“Great. You went and jinxed us.”
“…Well, maybe I didnt, you never know the next sentence could be the happiest sentence in the story.” yet again I was wrong…
