Nero Moon's Life

“Ya the story could use some… um… ‘Pinkie Flair’ that would defiantly lighten the mood” Caroline basically read my mind

“Ya that would make the story a little happier” I knew that this story couldn’t be happier no matter what, but still a little pinkie flair could’ve been nice. As we were about to continue we heard a noise outside the old ruined library

“Is some pony outside?” Caroline looked just as confused as I was

“I don’t know lets go check” Caroline nodded and we both made our way to the entrance and we heard the noise again this time more clearly, it was knocking some pony was knocking “Who is knocking? This library has been abandoned for… over 3 years! Wait… I swear it takes me a minute to actually think.”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“Who else would know that any pony is inside a 3 year abandoned library?”

“Um… oh I just realized who it is.”

“Yep.” My magic surrounded the old door knob, it twisted, then I pulled the door open what we were expecting to see was an alicorn princess standing there waiting for us to give her some old ruined books instead who we saw standing there was the one, the only….

“Pinkie!” both me and my daughter were really (Really) surprised to see Pinkie Pie, out of all ponies, standing there

“Hey!”

“Pinkie, what in equestrian are you doing here?” my voice was both confused and annoyed

“Well twilight sent me silly filly! Duh.”

“Why did she…” I stopped myself before I gave Pinkie the chance to spin he yarn of pinkie tales “Never mind not asking. So what did she want”

“Oh ya she said she wanted you to come back and give her any books you found”

“O.K, well Caroline it looks like we have to stop for now” the white filly looked at me with sadness and Pinkie automatically reacted

“Come on Caroline don’t be sad be happy… wait why are you so sad all of the sudden anyway?” my daughter looked at the pink partyholic earth pony and said

“Oh me and my dad found a cool book and he was reading it to me”

“OH, oh, oh I love stories what’s it about?”

“Well…” I began “It’s about Moon.”

“Nero? But we know her story, rereading stories is boring.” The pink mare looked at me and Caroline with confusion.

“Well pinkie not all of her story it turns out she only told us little bits of her story.” Pinkies eyes widened and she gasped

“Oh, yay surprise stories I love surprises!” Pinkie began to hop in place showing how badly she wanted to hear this story. I sighed knowing that if I told the others about this new story they too would want to hear Nero’s REAL story

“Well you will have to wait until we get back I really don’t feel like explaining things six different times, ok”

“Okey doki loki” the pink mare had her normal (or at least it was normal for Pinkie) smile on. Then after standing at the front of the abandoned library for a couple more seconds I put the book about Nero Moon in my magic pool then all three of us headed out, and made our way to Ponyville. I wondered if Nero knew about this book and wanted me to read it or was it just by chance that this book hit me in the head. (Which if the damn book fell from a higher shelf I would’ve been knocked out.) We were roughly half-way to Ponyville and we could already see Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity waiting for us outside Twilights library… house… thing, anyway. We entered Ponyville and we walked up to the library and both me and Caroline laid down our saddle bags, which contained all of the books we got

“Oh so the old library did have ‘some’ books that could still be studied and read, good.” the princess gave both me and Caroline a smile notifying that our job was complete, then pinkie reminded me of a (not-so) little black book that she wanted to listen to me read, now I know how Cheerlie must feel.

“Um, X?” Pinkie muttered “The super surprise story”

“Huh?” I looked at the pink mare with a look of confusion before remembering of the book I was reading to Caroline “Oh, Ya, by the way we found this book” I pulled the big book out of my magic pool then showed it to Twilight to my surprise the book had a title, which was odd considering when (it landed on my head) I found it there wasn’t a title. The Title was: Nero Moon’s Life

“Nero… Moon’s… Life!? How in Equestria did you come across a book like this?” I sat there looking at Twilight trying to find a… somewhat more logical way of how I… ‘found’ the book

“Well… um” I started; I looked around as if there was an answer going to hit me in the head “The book… hit me in the head.”

“Well that’s one way to find a book… hmm… what an odd book” as Twilight stood there examining the book pink let out in a full blow burst.

“OhandXwasgonnareadusthebookbecausewhenhewaswithCarolineatthatcreepyoldlibraryhewasreadingittoherandiwaslikeheyyoushouldtotalyreadthatstorybecause-” as the (super) excited pink mare was talking Rainbow dash stopped her by shushing her with her hoof

“Wow there Pinkie, wow calm down, so X was gonna read this story to all us?” Dash asked the party marevwhile still covering mouth

“MmHmm” Pinkie said with a hoof still covering her mouth. Dash removed her hoof then everypony started to agree on the idea

“Why not none of us are doing anything today” Rarity said while see looked back and forth at the others to see if they agree

“Ya, mah job over at Lil apple arcs is done and Mac and applebloom can do with meh” the orange apple farmer agreed

“Oh a story sounds like a wonderful idea… if it’s alright with everypony else” Fluttershy added to the agreement sheepishly. Everypony just nodded and I agreed. We went into Twilights library and everypony sat in front of the couch that I was sitting on, Caroline sat next to me and the six elements sat in front of me

“Ok here is the-” just before I could continue some other pony said something.

“Hey! Spike! Twi back yet” the voice was deep and very familiar.

“Um… I’m in the front room?” Twilight said in confusion wandering who could honestly be in her library. Then a dark blue earth pony stallion with a black mane and tail with red streaks came in followed by icy white unicorn mare with a blue spikey mane and tail with blue streaks

“Oh hey guys what’s up.” said the white unicorn

“Damion, Frostbite what are you doing in Twilights library?” Honestly I wasn’t surprised they were either in Twilights library, at the park, their house, or Sugar Cube corner.

“Frostbite was returning a book she finished and she wanted to get another, so… what are you doing” after Damion, the dark blue stallion, asked that I quickly responded

“Found this book on Moon’s life and these seven wanted me to read it so I am, you two want to listen?”

“Sure we’ve got nothing better to do” Fraostbite, the icy white unicorn, looked at her husband, Damion, and he agreed the both found a spot and laid down.

“Ok…” I started looking around seeing if somepony was going to pop out nowhere and interrupt me, again “…the story so far is…”
