The stallion that can't be moved
When Luna woke up she was laying in bed. Except it wasn't hers.
"Oh goody! You're awake!" a small voice said, it sounded like it belonged to a child.
"Who said that?" Luna asked.
"I did of course!" the voice responded.
Luna looked around but saw no one.
"Please show yourself. We mean thy no harm."
"Huh? Oh right, sorry." The voice giggled.
The voice came into view. It was a little Philly no more than 8 years old. Turns out the was she was just invisible, not a ghost.
"Sorry, Mr. Atlas says to stay invisible to keep safe." the Philly said.
That name. Luna thought Could it be?
"I'm sorry dear did you say Mr. Atlas?"
"Uh-huh. He's the best! He took care of me for as long as I can remember!"
The sound of a door opening meant another pony had walked in.
"Here he comes now!" The young Philly hopped off the bed and ran towards the sound.
Luna could hear the conversation going on:
"Mr. Atlas!" the Philly cheered.
"Nightshade!" the voice answered.
Luna heard the sounds of hugging.
Nightshade must be her name. What a nice name.
"Guess what! The mare you brought finally woke up. I finally have a new playmate!"
"That's great nightshade! But I'll have to see if she's feeling well before you can play with her. Deal?"
"Deal!"
The figure came into Luna's room and she was amazed at what she saw. The figure looked a lot like Helios except a few inches shorter. He was a dark navy blue and had a silver mane as well as tail. He was wearing a high grade metallic armor with the image of a silver crescent on his breastplate.
"Your Atlas." Luna said. "The one Helios been looking for."
The figure stopped short.
"Helios? That's a name I haven't thought of in years. " he said.
"Well he's been looking for you for forever."
The figure's eyes grew wide but then back to normal just as fast.
"I don't want nothing to do with him." He said coldly.
"And why not? He's your brother."
"Really? Tell me. Would a brother of mine let my kingdom fall and leave me trapped underneath the sky?"
Luna paused and thought about it.
"The only thing I have left...." he continued "is nightshade. She was a survivor and the last of my subjects."
Luna was touched by His point of view.
"Excuse us but where exactly is this place?"
Nightshade came into the room. No doubt she was ease dropping on their conversation.
"(gasp) can I tell her Mr. Atlas? Huh? Can I? Can I?"
Atlas chuckled.
"Why of course you can."
"Yaaayyyyyy!" the young Philly shouted.
She jumped onto the bed and suddenly the sound of a drum roll emitted from somewhere.
"Your in the observatory! Cleverly hidden inside a hurricane thanks to Mr. Atlas!"
The drumroll was suddenly replaced with the sound of clapping hands.
"Thank you. Thank you. Your too kind." She said bowing.
"I see." Luna said puzzled by the sudden performance.
"Great presentation like always Nightshade." Atlas said smiling.
"I try." Nightshade said as she hopped off the bed.
"Wait. She did all that? How?" Luna asked.
"I've yet to figure that out. But you got to admit it's a great way to inform someone."
"I Suppose. But...still you were here the whole time? "
"It's the only place I could still hold on to. So I made it our home. Where I could keep her safe."
Atlas turned to walk out of the room.
"Come, let me show you something."
Luna followed. They stepped out of a tower-like building into a field in front. But instead of rushing winds like you'd expect inside a hurricane Luna saw a beautiful orange sunset.
"Wait. How did we get outside the hurricane?" Luna asked feeling extremely puzzled.
"Outside?" Atlas and Nightshade said in unison. They both started to laugh.
"What? What's so funny?"
"Sorry. We'd should've expected a reaction like this since no one else has been here." Nightshade giggled.
"Then what, pray tell, is this?"
"Mr. Atlas, care to demonstrate?"
"Gladly." The giant smiled.
He turned towards the horizon, his horn glowing a searing white. To Luna's amazement the sunset quickly changed into a crescent moon.
"Y-you can change the sun..... and the moon?" Luna stumbled over her words.
"Well...Yes and no." Atlas started " Yes: I used to control the moon, well the usually the crescent moon. Helios is the guardian of the sun, not me.
