//-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow Dash Gets Back to Class -by Happy Soul- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// But I Don't WANNA! //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note You've had the one where Rainbow wins, and now here's the one where Rainbow loses. Enjoy! But I Don't WANNA! Rainbow Dash's eyes opened slowly and she realised she was in bed, and in fact not on a cloud. Well technically, her whole home was on a cloud. "What, did I have a hangover or something...?" Rainbow Dash asked nopony in particular. "Well?" It was just at that moment that Rainbow Dash's Mum strode in the room, hearing all she had to say. She walked up to the filly and whispered something in her ear, resulting in a gasp from Rainbow. "T-Two weeks? I can't live that long without going out, Mum! I'll die in here if I'm grounded! I'll run out of fresh air!" "Well," a cheeky grin was plastered on her Mum's face, "You'll still be going out." "What do you..." the pony mused over her somewhat annoying Mum's words, then coming to the correct conclusion and giving a deflated sigh. "You're joking..." "No, I'm your Mother. Now then, rise and shine!" She said with added volume on the last three words. Mum then exited the room, leaving Rainbow to get ready. Of course, she didn't really need to get ready. Well, she'd have to brush her teeth. Might as well do it now, Rainbow thought, Then think of an escape plan. So she strolled out of her room, not closing the door behind her, and stepping into a spacious hallway. The carpet was a deep blue and the walls a peachy-white, like the clouds themselves. Rainbow trotted out, and found the bathroom after many attempts at opening the door without wasting the wing-power she was going to need in order to escape the dreaded prison going by the name of school. She got her toothbrush off the low counter on the side of the room, grabbed her toothpaste and began brushing. Well, if scrubbing the toothpaste across your teeth with a toothbrush for five seconds counts as brushing them. Rainbow spat the mixture of paste and spit into the bath's drain instead of the sink's and didn't even wash it away. That was a sign of disrespect for her Mum, because no matter how hard she racked her brain, she couldn't get behind her reasoning. But this time Rainbow was going to escape her reasoning with her awesome pace, like the rebel she was. Rainbow Dash put away her toothbrush and took another tube of large toothpaste. She placed them on the counter before finding some dental floss in the cupboard and strapping the toothpaste tightly to her wings. Rainbow jerked her wings suddenly and a blue, gooey substance came squirting out of both tubes, just as she had planned. "Ha! Take that!" "Dashie, it's time for school!" called her Mum. As soon as Rainbow had heard her Mum's voice she was bound to run. She could then hear hoofsteps coming closer and closer to the door and realised her only escape was through the tiny open window above the bathtub. Rainbow Dash flew up, grabbed on and squeezed her way through, squirming and squealing. When Mum came in, the only glance of her daughter she got was a rainbow trail travelling through the sky as she peered out of the window above the bathtub. She looked down and realised she was standing in toothpaste. "Great. Bloody great." Rainbow Dash sped through the air, dodging obstacles and diving for victory. During one of her larger and quicker dives, she could make out something butter-coloured, and when she realised it was Fluttershy, it was too late. The pegasus collided with the other and the two of them went tumbling down through the air, ripping through clouds in their way. Toothpaste was being sprayed all over and created a (kind of) pretty spectacle in the sky. Amid the chaos was a crying filly and a confused rebel, tumbling to their uncertain doom. Fluttershy's tears flew up into the air and mixed with the toothpaste, turning it into flying mush above their heads. Rainbow Dash looked over at her friend. "Fluttershy, if I don't make it-" Rainbow was interrupted by a string of toothpaste spraying into her face. "-Tell Mr Hoof he's hot!" "Okay..." Suddenly a blue streak came out of nowhere (no, not Sonic) and grabbed Fluttershy out of the air. The pink mare with a blue mane and tail and purple eyes could only be recognised as her Mother. Rainbow Dash kept on tumbling and realised there was a cliff face she was going to hit as she pulled up. She braced herself, and... BOOM! "Arghhhh..." Yes, that was the sound of Rainbow Dash hitting a cliff face at at least fifty miles per hour, and yes, she was hurt. But when her head popped out of the cliff, it turned out she was okay... well, kind of. When the filly turned her head back, Mum and Fluttershy could see a huge ugly mark on her face, streaking across in all its purple glory. Fluttershy spoke up. "This is worse than the window accident..." "Really?" croaked Rainbow. The two ponies nodded. "Damn." "Mmhmm. And you've still got to go to school, Dashie!" "Mum-" The rebel was scooped up by her mother and she flew off with the two of them. She didn't stop once as she flew slowly to school. The playground was empty and everypony was inside already, and Mum took the two of them inside and knocked on the class door, Rainbow Dash screaming and crying. The door was answered by Miss Ponyfeather herself, and her face scrunched up in disgust for three reasons. One: Rainbow Dash was there. Two: Rainbow Dash was crying. Three. Rainbow Dash had an ugly mark across her face. "Come in, and we will short you out. Be gone, Mish Firefly." Mum went and left the two fillies as Rainbow Dash walked to her seat, eyes all around, looking at her ugly face as she tried so hard to cover it with her wings. She then realised she still had toothpaste on her wings, and that it was all over Miss Ponyfeather's desk. Everypony giggled. "Rainbow Dash, to da Head's offish, now, to reshieve your punishment." Rainbow Dash sighed in defeat, turning tail and walking away. "Fine..." //-------------------------------------------------------// Ending: Punishment? //-------------------------------------------------------// Ending: Punishment? Rainbow Dash was outside the Head's office, looking rather sheepish as she fumbled with her hooves. "Come in!" called a voice from inside the room. The filly/rebel snorted in disgust and opened the door an inch. "Come in, Rainbow Dash." she obliged and came in fully, not closing the door behind her. "Close the door behind you and take a seat." she sighed and closed the door, then hopped onto a chair before Mr Hoof's desk. "Now then, you've come so we can discuss your behaviour." "I thought I was getting a punishment," Rainbow Dash pointed out. "That isn't necessary," Mr Hoof replied bluntly, "You don't deserve punishment." Rainbow Dash looked around the Head's office. She had been here so many times, and it had always been for a proper punishment, like being yelled at or missing break. The dark red walls were menacing. "But every time I've come here it's so you can punish me properly." The filly looked the Head straight in the eyes while saying this. "So why is it any different now?" "Because," he replied, leaning in close and almost whispering, "Mrs Ponyfeather is a right nut. You've got all the punishment you needed, judging by your face." Rainbow Dash nodded. It did hurt a ton, and she thought that was enough punishment. "Wait, do you even know how I got this?" "No, and I'm not sure I want to." "Okay." Rainbow Dash nodded. Mr Hoof looked through some papers on his desk in silence. Rainbow Dash looked around the room in more detail. On one wall was framed newspaper articles. She hopped out of the chair and went up to a large article with a picture taking up most of it. What she saw was a tall pony, a little older than her. "Who's that?" she asked, pointing to the pony in colour. "Spitfire, a former student of mine. I'm sure you've seen her walking around school, have you not?" "No, I haven't," Rainbow replied bluntly. "She did leave to join the Wonderbolt Training School in Baltimare about two years ago." "Wonderbolt Training School? But that's for, like, the best that ever lived!" "Mhm. She was the best of the best. But you must be going back to your lesson. Don't tell Mrs Ponyfeather what I said." "Okay, I won't." And with that she was gone.
