Chapter 1
"You’re bucking pregnant?!"
There was a moment of serenity as both Rainbow Dash and Gilda were lost for words. A drunken night out in Ponyville with Rainbow’s friends-presently on good terms with the formerly angsty griffon- had passed, and now the two intoxicated lovers had stumbled home. But, after a hiccupped, slurred confession whilst relaxed on the couch, the mood in the room had darkened significantly; now the cyan mare was now looking at Gilda with a transfixed, shocked expression, slowly contorting into one of anger. The griffon swallowed and spoke her next words with extreme care.
"Y-yes. Yes, Dash."
The rainbow pony tore her gaze away from Gilda, and began pacing around, her magenta eyes scouring the soft floor of their cloud palace. Suddenly, the griffon felt a rush of pain, as Dash span around, to her feathered cheek, and immediately felt the breaking of part of her beak. The cyan hoof remained raised.
"What were you thinking?!"
"Hey, it wasn’t my fault!" Gilda started screaming hysterically, "You were the one trying out things, I just went along with it! I didn’t know what this ‘Rainbow Power’ would do-"
Another blow silenced her.
"Don’t you… ever… talk back to me like that. This is all your doing."
The tears were slowly becoming more prominent to Gilda now, as she continued supressing the urge to weep. The pain in her beak continued, raw, stinging and stubborn. It was definitely broken. Choked up, she took a breath, and whispered something inaudible.
"What was that?"
And then, something snapped.
"I’M SORRY OKAY?!" The griffon yelled, "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME, HUH?! WHAT DO YOU WANT."
Dash’s eyes flashed blood red.
"Eat it." She whispered.
