//-------------------------------------------------------// I Did Your Mother -by TittySparkles- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Let's fill in some blanks shall we //-------------------------------------------------------// Let's fill in some blanks shall we “So, sweetheart,” Firefly spoke out quietly as she filled her daughter’s coffee cup with warm herbal tea. “Now that Soarin is gone, why don’t you tell me more about why you’re not very fond of him.” For a few seconds Dash said nothing, and with the only sound being from the nearby cuckoo clock ticking away, she picked up the tea with her hooves and took a little sip before putting it back on the table. It was later in the same day that Dash came to visit her mother and had her confrontation with Soarin, and though he was gone from the house and back at his own place, Dash still wasn’t fond of him being with her mother at all. “Mhm, you made good tea, mom,” Dash replied as she looked up at her mother and saw her patiently waiting for an answer. “Anyhow, you would understand my point better if your were at the bar with me. He wouldn’t keep his hooves off of me, and he stumbled away after I rejected him for like the tenth time, but not before he knocked over my drink and it spilled on me.” “Really? How drunk was he?” Firefly asked as she poured her own cup of tea. “Drunk enough that he fell on his face before he left the bar, so he had to be pretty plastered. Part of me even thinks he knocked over my drink on purpose though, considering I snapped at him and he didn’t say anything in return. Ugh, and don’t get on me about how touchy he was,” Dash added in as she mentally compared Soarin to a certain draconequus that had a habit of being overly touchy when he shouldn’t be. “I swear he couldn’t keep his hooves off of me. He kept trying to feel up my legs and even tried kissing my wings. Ugh, I can still smell his nasty horse breath when I open my wings. He wouldn’t take no for an answer at all.” “W-was he that bad?” Firefly asked, nearly dropping the teapot, wondering if Dash was too drunk herself that night to remember things clearly. “Funny, he seemed very sober and very kind when I saw him at the bar I went to.” “Probably sobered up enough after I rejected his sorry ass. He’s just lucky I didn’t break his nose or any other parts for how he acted to me.” “Are you sure it was Soarin?” Firefly asked as she found the Soarin that Dash was describing nothing like the Soarin she met and seduced that night. “What? Don’t you believe me?” Dash replied, starting to become a bit hurt that her own mother wasn’t fully believing her. “Well it’s just… the Soarin I met was heartbroken, but he was very kind to me… hun, why didn’t you bring this up earlier?” Firefly asked, wondering why Dash didn’t say anything before. “Well, you were blowing me off mostly so I didn’t bother,” Dash replied as she looked away. “Plus I hate arguing with you when you get stubborn.” Though a bit taken back by the harshness of her words, Firefly knew her daughter was right. Whenever an argument played out back when Dash was a filly, Firefly almost always won thanks to how stubborn she got when someone tried to prove her wrong. It was either she was right or no one was right, yet now that she was getting up in years, she was calming down more and seeing things with more clarity. “I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Firefly said quietly as she reached over the table and put her her hoof on Dash’s. “I’m willing to listen now.” Still a bit upset, Dash looked at her mother’s hoof and knew she meant well deep down. Letting out a deep sigh, Dash spoke up again. “I know you are, but I just don’t trust Soarin after the other night. I thought he was a nice pony to be around before, but he sure acted differently at the bar. Different enough that I don’t really trust him anymore.” “Sweetheart, you know how rowdy and sexually driven us pegasi get after we drink a lot. We like to be all high and mighty, and when someone says no to us, we get very mad… or very depressed, depending on who it was,” Firefly replied as she started to recall a fond memory. “We should both know this considering that we act very differently when we get drunk. Remember that time you got so drunk you got mad enough that you broke a table?” Not saying anything, Dash let out a sigh as she knew her mother spoke the truth and she started to quickly remember a night where she took a mare out to the bar, got both her and the mare drunk and tried to hit on her explicitly. Sadly for that night, it ended in rejection and Dash coming home to her mother’s place, upset and angry that she ended up breaking the living room table. “Rather not remember that night, mother,” Dash replied sternly, not wanting any more repressed memories coming up. “But… you’ve got a point. Yeah, I guess it makes sense for Soarin, and it sure didn’t help that his Wonderbolt buddies kept egging him on to hit on me.” “His teammates were there as well?” “Only for a bit. They took off after a bit and left Soarin alone,” Dash replied. “Hmph, some teammates he has,” Firefly huffed as she took another sip of her tea. “What do you expect from a bunch of drunks?” Dash replied as she took her own sip. “But still… regardless of what happened the other night, I wasn’t very fond of how arrogant he acted this morning.” “You have a point there, sweetheart. I did find his attitude could use a bit of an adjustment but that’s because I found it more funny then anything.” “Yeah, funny at my expense,” Dash grunted as she started to feel more sore. “Hey come on… well if he was like he was at the bar then I can see why you’re angry at him, but I still think you should give him another chance. We all have our bad nights, and I’m sure… wait, did he at least try to apologize to you earlier?” Staying quiet for a second, Dash remembered that Soarin tried to talk to her before he left, and though at the time he looked like he was planning to say sorry, Dash didn’t want any of it. “I think so… not really sure actually,” Dash replied as she wasn’t sure of his plan at the time. “I don’t know… I think he tried to say sorry, but I really didn’t want to talk to him earlier.” “You didn’t give him a chance to speak?” “Not really, I just wanted to be left alone earlier,” Dash replied as she looked down at her tea. “Hmm, then I think the both of you should have a real talk, and not one like you had before,” Firefly replied in turn as she remembered hearing some of the conversation Dash and he had while she was in the kitchen. “I guess… but I wasn’t fond of how cocky he acted when he bragged about having sex with you. And seriously, why did you let him get away with that? Like what the fuck, mom? I love you and everything, but I really didn’t want to hear about how you two broke the bed.” Taking another sip of her tea, Firefly gave off a smile before she spoke up. “Hmm, not one of my finer moments, but I think you would understand it more if you didn’t have sex for months,” Firefly replied as fond memories of the night started to come back. “When a stallion like Soarin gives it to you as hard as he gave it to me then you can see that he deserves to be a bit cocky about it.” “Eww, don’t give me those mental images,” Dash replied as she closed her eyes and shook her head. “Well you asked and I answered.” “Blah, should have stayed quiet about it,” Dash replied as she found a bad taste building up in her mouth, and she took another sip of tea in order to drown the feeling. “Ugh, you both are just perverted old ponies.” “Heheh, oh come now, I’ve lived long enough that I think I’ve earned it,” Firefly replied as she put a cocky smile on her face. “But sweetheart, I still think the both of you should make up and remedy what happened between you. You know it’s not healthy to stay mad at ponies forever.” As Dash was about to respond, the sound of the doorbell ringing made the both of them look to the front door and wonder who it was. “Hmm, another visitor?” Firefly spoke out as she got out of her seat and walked to the door. “Seems my little home is popular today.” The doorbell rang again. “Yes, yes! I’m coming!” Firefly groaned loudly as she went faster. From her seated position at the kitchen table, Dash was able to watch her mother open the door and be greeted by a mail carrier. Though they usually didn’t do delivery rounds so late, Dash quickly noted that the gray delivery mare was sporting a Wonderbolt logo on her mail hat, and Dash remembered that the Wonderbolts had their own special delivery system for handing out letters on the same day they were written. On top of that they were operated twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. “Hmm, Soarin must be up to something,” Dash pondered quietly to herself as she saw her mother take an unmarked letter from the mare before the mail mare opened her wings and took to the sky. “Hey, what did you get?” “It’s blank,” Firefly replied as she flipped the letter over a bunch of times as she tried to find a means to why she got it. “Let’s see what’s inside.” Quickly trotting to a small side table in her living area, Firefly grabbed a letter opener and, with a quick motion of her hoof, cut it open and looked inside. Pulling out two tickets along with a letter, Dash quickly recognized the tickets as Wonderbolt race tickets. As Dash found her eyes on the tickets, Firefly was reading a small letter and quickly smiled as she finished. “Hmm, looks like Soarin invited me and you to see a Wonderbolt exhibition race at the Cloudsdale stadium tomorrow afternoon!” Firefly spoke with joy as her wings fluttered at her sides. “And he even got us front row seats.” Though Dash was surprised that he sent them front row seat tickets, she still didn’t trust him. “Oh lovely, looks like he’s trying to win me over,” Dash grunted as she grabbed her tea and chugged the rest of it down. “Oh come now, sweetheart, think of it this way,” Firefly replied as her mind thought of a good idea. “I bet he’s going to say sorry to you tomorrow if you go. It would be a good idea to make up with him, you know?” “Ugh, rather not see him so soon,” Dash groaned as she put her empty cup down. “Oh please don’t be like that, dear. Could you just give him a chance for me? I promise if both of you don’t mend your ways then I’ll dump him for your sake.” Going quiet at her mother’s words, Dash wasn’t going to deny that she was liking the idea of her mother dumping Soarin, and if all she had to do was tag along and watch a race, then she was going to stop resisting right away and give in to her mother’s plea. “Hm, I’ll hold you to your word, mom,” Dash replied as she smiled and got out of her chair. “Fine, I’ll go with you. Maybe I’ll get lucky and watch him crash into a cloud.” Rolling her eyes at her daughter's behavior, Firefly said nothing as she put the envelop, letter, and tickets on the side table before her. “Well if that’s enough for you to come with me, then I won’t let your imagination bother me one little bit,” Firefly replied as the cuckoo clock started to ring loudly. “Oh wow, is it already nine o’clock?” “Wow, really? Didn’t think it was that late. Now I’m even more surprised by that letter,” Dash replied as she looked to the clock as well. “Crud, and I still gotta fly home.” “You know you can stay tonight if you want, dear,” Firefly replied. “Really? I figured you would have moved a bunch of things into my room and made it a mess,” Dash replied as she looked to the staircase going upstairs. “Ugh,” Firefly started to speak as she realized Dash spoke the truth without realizing it. “A-actually, I kinda did move some things into your room.” Though she turned her face to her mother and giving her an unamused look, Dash still liked the idea of staying over for the night. “Figured you would horde stuff in my room,” Dash teased. “But I guess I can stay in the spare room for the night.” “Uhhh, spare room is… umm… full as well,” Firefly replied sheepishly. “Seriously? With what?” “Your uncle’s stuff is in there until his storage attic is remodeled. You know how much stuff he likes to collect.” Firefly replied as she forced a smile. “Ugh, both you and he horde too much stuff you know,” Dash groaned as she looked to the living room. “I swear you two have dragon blood. Whatever, guess I’ll just crash on the couch for the night.” “You heading to bed now?” Firefly asked as she watched Dash began trotting for the couch. “I usually head to bed early nowadays,” Dash replied as she stopped and looked back. “Wonderbolt Academy had early morning drills starting at six, and since then I’ve been going to bed early.” “That makes sense I guess. Alrighty, I’ll go get you a spare pillow and blanket then,” Firefly said to her as she turned for the staircase and began to trot for it. “I’ll be right back.” As Dash watched her mother climb up stairs and watched her disappear into a nearby room, she then jumped onto the couch and stretched out her back against it. “Hmm, feels weird sleeping in this house again,” Dash spoke quietly as she started to reminisce about her childhood. “Feels like old times.” “Ahh! Blasted music box! Why do I even keep this garbage!?” Firefly shouted from the room as the sound of items being kicked around played out. Listening to her mother complain about the things she was hoarding, Dash just smiled and stared quietly at the ceiling. Author's Note Got a few more chapters planned out for this bad boy. Don't worry, this story will get an ending. //-------------------------------------------------------// Justice //-------------------------------------------------------// Justice "Mom, do we seriously have to be here?" Dash asked, groaning loudly as both her and Firefly trotted through Cloudsdale stadium. "Oh sweetheart, do you have be like this?" Firefly groaned in return as both of them waded through large masses of ponies. "Soarin personally invited the both of us to watch the Wonderbolt race today, and he even got us front row seats. Besides, you already agreed to talk with him. Also you used to love coming to watch the Wonderbolts race as a filly." Simply rolling her eyes, Dash was going to reply, but the constant noise from all the ponies around her made it hard to properly speak without shouting. Though she didn't want to admit it, Dash knew Firefly was very much right. She loved coming to watch the Wonderbolts, and was even excited that she was going to watch them race, but because it was Soarin that invited them, and since Dash still didn't trust him, her mood wasn't what it should have been. Even the scent of hay fries and popcorn that she always loved didn't improve her mood, and she even found those smells irritating her. "So? I liked it better when one certain Wonderbolt wasn't trying to win you over," Dash groaned. "And you know that since he tried to invite me, he's just trying to make himself look good in your eyes." "Dash, why must you think the worst of him?" Firefly asked as she looked around for a food stall. "Sure, you both had one bad night, but you’ve got to give him a chance sooner or later. Hey, you want something to eat? The hay fries smell great today." "No thanks, mom. But seriously, I'll only give him a chance after you dump him and give him a kick in his nuts," Dash rebutted. "Hey, watch your language," Firefly sternly said to her as she gave Dash a nudge with her body. "I expect you to act your age in public." "What? No one is going to say anything to me. Besides, please don't talk to me like I'm a filly," Dash replied as she nudged her mother back. "Then don't act like one... 'Bow," Firefly remarked as she smiled at Dash. Frowning, she stuck out her lower lip at Firefly. Dash hated her mother's version of scolding, but at the same time she couldn't help but smile at her mother's attitude. "Ugh, fine," Dash said as she suddenly stopped and felt something sticky on the bottom of her hoof. Stopping and looking down, Dash quickly lifted her hoof up and saw she stepped on a piece of chewed bubble gum. "Ewww, I should have went with the girls to Canterlot instead," Dash whined as she scraped the pink gum off her hoof and put it on the floor. "Oh come now, 'Bow, you make it sound like this is the worst possible thing to happen to you today," Firefly chuckled. "Only thing that will improve my day is getting this day over and done with," Dash groaned as she started to trot again. Letting out a deep sigh, Firefly was ready to walk without saying anything, but noticing Dash wasn't smiling at all, her motherly side kicked in. Putting a smirk on her face before she moved to Dash's side, Firefly quickly lifted her front hooves up and wrapped one around Dash's neck while the other one started to rub against her mane. "Oh cheer up, will ya? It's no fun when my little girl is all moody and crabby at the world," Firefly teased as she messed up Dash's mane. "Hey! Mommm! Mom, get off of me. Cut that out," Dash whined as she struggled but found her mood improve slightly from what was happening. "Hey, come on, everyone is looking!" While her words were slightly over exaggerating, Firefly did see a few ponies looking in their direction and either chuckled at them or gave their heads a shake. Even though it didn't bother her, Firefly let go of Dash and put her hooves back on the floor. "Aww, I thought you liked being the center of attention, 'Bow," Firefly spoke out as she gave Dash a cheeky grin. With her mother off of her, Dash found her mane all disheveled and messy, making her look like she just woke up from bed. Though it was messy and partly covering her face, Dash just blew some of her hair out of her face before she rolled her eyes at her mother. "Kinda embarrassing when my own mother likes to think she's a joker," Dash replied as both of them walked up to a food stall for popcorn and mini donuts. "You know you love it when I tease you, dear," Firefly said to Dash before she turned her attention to the food stall owner. "Hey, can I get a bucket of popcorn and a bucket of mini donuts?" Though Dash wasn't really hungry, she wasn't going to remind her mother about it. Besides, with her being close to the food stall, Dash's nose caught onto the scent of the mini donuts and instantly she wanted to try a few. Once her mother had paid the owner the required amount of bits, she grabbed the handle of the donut bucket with her teeth and passed it to Dash. Quickly taking it from her with her own mouth, Dash watched as her mother grabbed the popcorn and both continued on their way to the seating area. As both ponies eventually found their way to the large, open air stadium, both took to the sky and made their way to the seats they were given. Thankfully—and unfortunately, by Dash's standards—Soarin went ahead and put a reserved sign on their seats and even had a few security guards watching them so no one took them. As they neared it, both the security guards nodded their heads at them before they took off somewhere else. "Aww, Soarin was nice enough to make sure we got to watch from our spots," Firefly spoke with a blush on her face as she knew Wonderbolts could make anything happen. "Ugh, he's trying wayyy too hard for my tastes," Dash groaned as she flew to her seat, but stopped as she saw that Soarin even left them small notes on the seats. "Hmm, what's this?" Both mares replied as they looked at the letters left for them. While Firefly read hers quickly before she chuckled and blushed harder, Dash wasn't amused by what her note said. Here you go, Skittles, hope me and you can make up after the race is over. -Soarin. "Ugh, should have stopped reading after Skittles," Dash sighed before she took the note and crumpled it up. "Oh, you had a note as well?" Firefly spoke in a cheerful manner but instantly frowned as Dash finished crumbling it into a ball and kicking it under her seat. "Really, Dash? Was that necessary?" "What? He's just trying to get under my skin again," Dash replied as she took to her seat and placed her bucket of donuts on her lap. "What did he say on yours?" Though she was frowning, Firefly quickly smiled as she read the note out loudly to Dash. "Hope you enjoy the show, sweetheart. I'll be dedicating my victory to you," Firefly spoke out as her heart filled with joy while Dash found hers just filling with sickness. "Ugh, can he be any more corny than he already is?" Dash groaned as she grabbed a donut and ate it in one bite. "Honestly, I hope he gets last place so I can rub it in his face." Opting to stay quiet, Firefly simply rolled her own eyes and sat down in her seat. Just as she sat down, the stadium music started to play and the large crowd that gathered started to quiet down. Turning their ways to the racing platform, the quiet crowd instantly went into a cheering frenzy as four ponies dressed in Wonderbolt race outfits appeared before them. Though fully dressed up, Dash was quickly able to figure out which ponies were racing. “Hmm, looks like it’s Surprise, Fleetfoot, Rapid Fire, and Soarin racing today,” Dash muttered to herself as the ponies lined up from left to right and waved to the audience. Though she was a bit disappointed that her true idol Spitfire wasn’t racing, Dash was still happy to see other familiar Wonderbolts. “Eh, whatever, least Fleet is racing, so I know Soarin ain’t winning,” he spoke up louder, letting her mother hear her. “Don’t count Soarin out of this yet, dear,” Firefly replied as she turned to Dash. She quickly looked back as the sound of someone tapping a mic with their hoof played out and the music started to die down. “Mare and stallions; colts and fillies of all ages! Welcome to our special Wonderbolt exhibition race!” A silver pegasus spoke out in a stereotypical announcer voice. “Tonight for our line-up we have the following racers! Starting from the left… Surprise!” As he spoke, a white mare with yellow hair stepped forward and a fair amount of her fans broke into ceer. Though not overly loud, Dash knew Surprise was more of an acrobatic flyer than the racing type. “Next… Fleetfoot!” As Surprise stepped back, the male side of the crowd went wild as a soft blue mare with a snow white mane stepped forward. Though she was Dash’s second favorite Wonderbolt, she was her favorite in the personality department. She loved watching her act like she didn’t care about the male audience when they cheered for her, considering she actually had a kid of her own, and Dash even loved it more when Fleetfoot took control of a mic and spoke. In fact, Dash smiled as Fleetfoot walked to the announcer and asked for the mic from him. “Oh come on, you can cheer louder than that! Let’s get some ladies in it as well!” Fleetfoot charismatically spoke out, instantly causing many more ponies to cheer her on from the female side. Satisfied with the result, Fleetfoot gave the mic back to the announcer and resumed her spot on the podium. “Next… Rapid Fire!” Stepping up, the crowd went back to nearly the same level they cheered for Surprise, only being a bit louder. While Rapid Fire himself was a newer Wonderbolt, his specialty was in the areas of flying longer than any other Wonderbolt, including Spitfire herself. Continuing to watch him, Dash saw him blushing and waving his wing at the audience and she knew he was one pony that preferred staying out of the spotlight. “And last but certainly not least…. Soarin!” As the announcer finish, the whole place erupted into a loud cheer. Be it stallions, mares, and even kids, Soarin was one of most loved racers in the current era of Equestria. Yet as loud as it was, Dash remained quiet and just huffed as the cocky stallion took to the air and lifter his hooves up, almost like he was trying to make everyone cheer louder. Sadly for Dash it worked, and all she could do was try to ignore all of it. Even more sadly was that her mother was nudging her with her own hoof and trying to get Dash into the spirit of racing. Finally, as Soarin went back down and the crowd quieted down, Dash thought the race was about to start. Of course Soarin had one more thing he wanted to do. Much like Fleetfoot, Soarin walked to the announcer and asked for the mic so he could speak. Tapping the end a few times so the crowd would be perfectly quiet, he looked around the stadium and began to speak. “I’ll keep this short and sweet for all my fans!” Soarin spoke as a few ponies gave him a cheer. “Techie, shine the light on the beautiful pink mare in the front row!” “Hey, what’s he doing?” Dash asked as a spotlight instantly shone on her mother. “Wait… is he seriously… Oh my god he is.” “I’m dedicating this race and my victory to you my beautiful Firefly!” Soarin added in as he gave her a wink and blew a kiss at her. Though shocked by his sudden actions, Firefly couldn’t help but blush like a little filly. As she did, the sound of males whistling at her from the stands only intensified the redness showing on her face. “Oh my god, could you be any more corny?” Dash groaned as she slapped her hoof to her face and dragged it down. As she finished, Dash turned to her mother and just shook her head as Firefly blew a kiss back at him. “Seriously mom? That kind of act is something old ponies buy,” Dash huffed as she looked to her donut bucket before grabbing another one. “Hmph, are you implying I’m an old mare?” Firefly replied as she gave Dash a stern look. Realizing she messed up and voiced an opinion that should have stayed a thought, Dash tried to respond. With the donut half way down her throat, she simply coughed in return. “That’s what I thought,” Firefly chuckled as she turned her attention back to Soarin, who was now heading to the starting line with the rest of the flyers. “Alright race fans, without further ado… let’s start this race!” the announcer spoke out as the fans cheered and the racers got into proper position. “Racers ready? Three… Two… One… GO!” ~~~ “Ughhh, can’t believe that no good stallion actually won the race,” a disgruntled Dash spoke out as the race came to an end, and, sadly for her, the victor was Soarin. “Idiot must have asked Fleetfoot to give him the race so he could impress my mother.” “Oh Dash, must you be like that?” Firefly responded as she clapped her hooves over and over. “Maybe Soarin is just that good.” Before Dash could give a response of her own, both mares noticed that Soarin was flying towards their general direction. While Dash just simply looked away with an unamused look, Firefly smiled widely as he approached her. “Enjoy the race, Firefly?” Soarin asked as he landed right in front of her. “I did. You were amazing,” Firefly replied as she quickly pulled herself up and hugged her forelegs around his neck and gave his cheek a kiss. “Hey, I’m still here you know,” Dash chimed in, not wanting to see her mother give him any sort of affection. “What? There’s nothing wrong with a beautiful lady showing her love and affection,” Soarin replied as he nuzzled Firefly’s cheek in return. “Ehhh, whatever,” Dash muttered in response as she pulled herself up and let her donut bucket fall under her. “Let’s just head out.” “Dash, can you at least a bit nicer to him?” Firefly asked. As Dash turned her head to her mother, she couldn’t help but notice the cocky grin plastered across Soarin’s face. Though she wanted to punch the smug look off of his face, Dash decided to leave well enough alone… to a certain extent. “Ugh, fine mother, I’ll leave your boy toy alone,” Dash remarked, causing both Soarin and Firefly to give her a distasteful look. “What? That’s as nice as I wanna be.” “Dash, do you have to—” Firefly started to say but was cut off as Soarin stepped forward. “Don’t worry, Firefly, I won’t let it get to me,” Soarin replied as he flexed his right wing and rubbed a feather under her chin. “As long as I’m next to you, nothing truly bothers me.” “Oh god, you’re even more corny than I thought,” Dash broke in with a grunt of disapproval, but she found herself ignored by the two of them. “Shall we head out now? We still have a dinner date planned for later,” Soarin spoke softly to her as he continued to rub her chin with his feather. “Mhmmm, yes we should,” Firefly purred in response suddenly felt the need to take a washroom run. “But… I need to run to the little mares room first. Sweetheart, I think now would be a good time to talk to Soarin.” Before Dash could answer, Firefly opened her wings, and flapping hastily, she flew in the direction of the nearest washroom. With both Dash and Soarin by themselves, Soarin wasted no time in walking close to Dash and grinning smugly at her. “So… did you enjoy the race, Skittles?” Soarin asked as he stuck his nose in the air. “Fuck off, I don’t want to talk to you,” Dash replied harshly in return as she quickly started to walk away from him. “Hey, come on, didn’t your mother ask you to be nicer to me?” Soarin replied as he rushed to her side and walked with her. “Besides, I was nice enough to invite you to this race, so you could show a bit more respect.” “Pshhh, you think after that night at the bar you’ll ever be shown respect by me? You’re sadly mistaken, Soarin.” “Hey now, you seriously gonna use that as an excuse to stay angry at me? I’m hurt by your words, Dash,” Soarin replied as he faked a frown. “You know staying angry at ponies is bad for your health and could lead to you getting gray hairs in that beautiful mane of yours.” “Whatever, let’s just wait for my mother to get back from the bathroom,” Dash said as both of them came to a crowded area. “Hmm, you really don’t make this easy, do you?” Soarin asked with a longing sigh as he started to realize just how stubborn Dash truly was. “Isn’t there anything I can do to make you stop hating me so much?” “Yeah, when you stop dating my mom and go back to being a stupid drunk.” "Hmph, I see how it’s going to be,” Soarin replied as he was starting to get to his wits end with Dash. “Well, if you're going to play hardball with me," Soarin added as he moved in close and turned his words into a whisper. "Then let’s talk about you getting into the Wonderbolts." Dash felt her eyes widen and even felt her ears stand on edge. "If you don't like me being around your mother, then I think I wouldn't like you to be in the Wonderbolts at all," he whispered slyly into her ear before he started to pull away. Fuming with rage and letting that hatred flow from her, Dash was ready to punch Soarin in the face. Though she had little regard for him, she never thought he would resort to a low blackmailing tactic like that. Feeling her body quake with anger, she was ready to turn to him and clock him but thinking about her mother. Quickly suppressing her anger, she thought of a little trick she learned from her mother while living with her. "Could you repeat that?" Dash spoke as she did her best to hide her growing smirk. "Didn't quite catch that." "I said that, unless you start changing your attitude, you're not getting into the Wonderbolts," Soarin repeated as he moved back in but made sure his voice was louder. "Ahhh, must be a bit deaf from the loud cheering," Dash replied as she brought a hoof up and rubbed her ear. "A bit louder please?" “Ugh, I said you better start changing your attitude or you're not getting into the Wonderbolts, Dash!" Soarin spoke louder as he was starting to get nerved by her more. "Hmm, thought you said that," Dash answered back as she got herself ready. "And this is my answer!" Before Soarin could properly react, Dash quickly brought up her right hoof and punched Soarin in his face. As her hoof connected with the bridge of his nose, Soarin moved back a few steps before his legs buckled and he fell to the cloud below. "Fuck! Y-you... did you seriously just hit me!?" Soarin shouted at Dash as his eyes watered up and he moved his front hooves to his face. "Arghhh, Y-you broke my nose! God dammit, you broke my fucking nose!" As Soarin cursed loudly and began to snarl at Dash, nearly everyone around the area stopped and turned to watch the scene unfolding before them. While Dash cared to not look at the ponies around her, she was more happy with herself as she saw a line of blood running down Soarin's face from the punch. "That's what you get for trying to blackmail me you piece of shit!" Dash cursed at him. "You seriously think I'll let you be with my mother just so I'm guaranteed to be in the Wonderbolts!? Fat chance!" Though he continued to snarl at Dash, Soarin instantly regretted doing what he did. He was sure his position in the Wonderbolts would help, and knowing very well it was Dash's dream to be one like him, he thought he could play his cards right and end up having what he wanted. Instead, his actions landed him getting punched by a mare who wasn't going to bend to his command. "H-hey, I was just... just kidding, Dash," Soarin stammered out as he tried to start backpedaling his actions and saw the eyes of many upon him. "I-it... ahhh, it was just a joke. C-come on, Dash, you seriously thought I was going to use my, um… my power like t-that?" "Can it, Soarin! There is a reason I asked you to repeat yourself twice over," Dash replied as she moved towards him. "H-hey, stay away… stay away from me!" Soarin stammered as he tried to crawl away. "Don't worry, I wouldn't hit your pretty face anymore," She said to him before she turned her attention to the crowd around her. "Guess what everyone? This... Wonderbolt you all adore just tried to blackmail me!" “N-no! Wait, Dash… you can’t do this!” Soarin spoke in a hushed panic. “T-think of being a Wonderbolt before you say anything more!” “Shut it! This Wonderbolt tried to use my own mother as a bargaining tool just so he could get a piece of tail for himself!” "She's not lying!" A mare spoke out from the side that actually heard Soarin repeat himself twice. "I heard the whole thing! He tried to shut her up so he could be with her mother!" As she spoke, Soarin instantly knew he was fucked, and even with his nose busted up and his vision blurry, he pulled himself up. "Wow, what a piece of work!" another pony spoke their mind. "Can you believe that? He just tried to slander that mare,” another chimed in. "What a scumbag!" "Booo!" “Wait! No! You got it all wrong! I… I would never blackmail anyone for personal gain!” Soarin plead loudly in hopes he wouldn’t lose the crowd’s favor. “If it wasn’t blackmail then what is it, Soarin? Because blatantly threatening me like you did is very much called blackmail!” Dash responded, loudly and angrily. “Hey, come on, Dash, I said it was a joke! Y-you honestly think I would stoop that low!?” Soarin asked, making sure he was just as loud as her. “Stoop that low?” Dash replied as she started to recall the night at the bar. “Nah, I’ve seen you stoop lower. Remember that night at the bar and how you kept touching me even after I said no!?” With those words said, the crowd instantly gave Soarin a cold look. “H-hey, you don’t need to bring that up! That was a… uhm, a personal manner we were resolving!” Soarin said meekly as he found himself losing ground in the argument. “Personal manner? Soarin, everyone in the bar saw you but no one said anything because you’re a high ranking officer in the Wonderbolts. Unfortunately for you, I’m not scared to say it like it is! You’re nothing but a little scheming colt who just wants to get any tail he can get!” Knowing very well that was the cold hard truth, Soarin instantly went quiet and lost his nerve to speak. Quickly looking around him, he saw his once beloved fans eying him down, almost like they were ready to pounce on him and beat him to a pulp. Not wanting to get more banged up than he already was, Soarin turned tail and ran off. As he did, Dash smirked as she knew his reputation would be shot forever and felt a sense of justice for what she did. Of course, as she stared into the crowd, Firefly was starting to return. "Dash? What just happened?" she asked as she pushed through the crowd and came back to Dash's side. "And where is Soarin? I thought you two were working out your differences." "Sorry mother, I hate to break it to you but I was right about Soarin," Dash answered as her smirk disappeared. "He just tried to blackmail me." "W-what!?" Firefly asked in return, utterly shocked. "Yeah, he said unless I let you be with him, I'm not getting into the Wonderbolts.” “S-sweetheart, are you sure you heard that right!? Soarin didn’t seem like the type to blackmail others.” “Oh, I’m very sure I heard him right. In fact, everyone around me heard him all thanks to that little trick you showed me." "Trick? What trick?" Firefly asked, unsure of what she was talking about. "The one where you get someone to repeat what they said twice to you," Dash spoke as she put her smirk back on. "And after he was done speaking, I nailed him in his stupid, smug face." Blinking her eyes at what Dash did, Firefly started to remember that tactic. Knowing very well she used it a few times on past boyfriends, she couldn't help but smile at her daughter. Of course she was still angry Dash actually punched Soarin and was still skeptical Soarin blackmailed her. "Really? But… he was so nice to me, and I highly doubt he would blackmail you just to have me,” Firefly replied as she brought a hoof to her jaw. "Mom, look at me,” Dash said as she brought her own hoof up and placed it against her mother’s jaw before turning her head to face her. “Soarin tried to blackmail me. You know I would never lie to you about something like this.” “Yes but-” “Mom. Listen. Ponies around me heard him say such and the reason he took off was because he got cocky with his words and got caught.” Still a bit rattled by what happened, Firefly quietly stared into her daughter’s magenta eyes. Looking to see if there was any truth to her words, she tried to see if they would look around desperately as if she was trying to make up a lie. Sadly, Firefly only saw the straight forward look she was getting from Dash and she was starting to believe her. “Mom, you know I love you, and you know very well I would never lie to you about anything,” Dash spoke out as she still saw doubt in Firefly’s eyes. “If you don’t believe me then why did Soarin run off?” "He ran off? Where did he go then?" Firefly asked. "That way after everyone saw how much of a scumbag he was," Dash answered back as she pointed in the general direction Soarin ran to. "I think that's all the last time I'll ever see his ugly busted up mug." "Umm, sweetheart? You realized you just punched a Wonderbolt, right?" Firefly asked as she grew more concerned and knew that Dash's chances of getting into the Wonderbolts were now marginally less. "If he stays with them then there is a good chance you'll have a harder time getting in. Not to mention that Soarin may press charges for you assaulting him." "I'm not worried if that happens, all I wanted was to show ponies how much of a scumbag he was. Even if he presses charges and I get arrested, I'm more happy that you no longer have to deal with that douche." "But... what about your dream, dear?" "Ehh, I’d rather not be a Wonderbolt alongside him anyway. Besides, I care more about you than flying… well... maybe loving you and flying are very closely tied," Dash replied as she moved close to her mother and put her foreleg over her mother's back. "Anyhow, why don't we head home? I think I've had enough fun for the day." Still saddened that she was single again, Firefly felt more joy than anything. "I guess so," Firefly spoke with a deep sigh. "Damn, and here I thought I found someone I could grow old with." "Hey... you still got me mom," Dash said in response as she hugged her. "You know I ain't leaving your side." "True... Huh, guess it shows I should be more wary of who I'm with from now on," Firefly replied as she hugged her back. "Come on, let's head home." Happy to see her mother wasn't fully upset, Dash moved her foreleg off her mother and began to trot. Starting to trot alongside Dash, Firefly took one more look in the general direction Soarin ran off to before she looked to her daughter and smiled. Author's Note Ain't done this yet, still got one more chapter being made! //-------------------------------------------------------// Motherfucker //-------------------------------------------------------// Motherfucker Rainbow Dash stood at her mother's door, wide eyed and confused at the scene that was before her. Sitting at the kitchen table and eating a few slices of toast, Rainbow Dash instantly recognized the stallion she turned down just the previous night. Sitting beside him was her mother, Firefly. As she stood there in disbelief, Dash couldn’t help but notice that her mother had her hoof on his. Seeing Firefly’s pink hoof resting over Soarin’s blue hoof filled Dash with a silent rage, and as she stared at the both of them, she couldn’t understand how and why Soarin of all ponies was with her mom. "Oh, good morning, hun," Firefly said as she turned her attention to Dash and then quickly looked back to Soarin. "You're just in time to have breakfast with us." "What the hell are you doing here, Soarin?" Dash snapped at him, which caused Firefly to give Soarin a curious look. "Hey now, there is no need for the hostile behavior," Soarin replied in a rather cocky manner that was very obvious to Dash but fell on the oblivious ears of Firefly. "I'm just enjoying my morning like most ponies do." "Cut the crap, why are you in my mother's house, Soarin?" Dash snapped as she started to trot towards the cocky looking pegasus. "Rainbow! Why are you upset at him?" Firefly spoke out as she gave her daughter a stern yet slightly confused look. "Because I rejected his sorry ass last night at the bar," Dash replied. "So excuse me if I'm a bit weirded out by him being here." "Hmm," Firefly replied as she reached for a cup of coffee and took a quick sip of it. "Looks like you were telling the truth after all, Soarin." "What?" Dash asked flatly. "I had no reason to lie about what happened," Soarin replied with a deep sigh. "All I wanted to do was hang out with your daughter, but she kicked me to the curb before I had a chance." "Hey that's not fully tr-" "Rainbow, I thought I raised you better than this," Firefly said as she looked to her daughter and gave her a scolding look. "H-hey, don't take his side so quickly! All he wanted to do was stuff himself inside of me last night!" Dash snapped back as she came to the table and slammed her front hooves on it. "Hey, don’t talk about me like I’m some kind of horn dog!” Soarin replied in his defense. “All I wanted to do was share a few drinks with you.” “Hmm, seems you two need to talk over some things,” Firefly broke in. “Tell you what, I’ll go make you some toast, Dash, while you two work over your differences.” As Firefly got out of her seat and trotted for the kitchen, Soarin did a double take to make sure she wasn't looking back before he looked to Dash and gave her the biggest grin he could. "Sup, Dash. Surprised to see me?" he asked in a low tone so that Firefly wouldn’t hear him. "What the fuck are you doing here, Soarin?" Dash replied in an equally low tone as she moved her face right into his. "Already told you, I'm having breakfast with your mother," he replied. "Don't give me that crap, I bet you're here to guilt trip me into having sex with you, ain't ya?" Dash replied, growing more and more angry thanks to his little condescending grin. "Nahhh, after how you treated me last night, I was all alone and broken," Soarin replied back, exchanging his cocky grin for a faux act of crying. "I ended up leaving that bar and went to another one, and when I started to drink again, your mother came and sat beside me." A bit taken aback, Dash jerked her head back with surprise but quickly moved her face back into his. "Aww, did you cry because you got no pussy last night and my mother comforted you with words?" Dash replied, putting her own cocky grin on her face. “Always took you for a mama’s boy.” "Heheheh, your mother did more than just comfort me with words, Rainbow," Soarin snickered at her as he returned to his cocky self. "What? Did she buy you a few drinks and talk to you all night?" "Something like that, but there was more than just talking you know," Soarin told her as he leaned back in his chair and put his hooves behind his head. "We talked for a bit, had a few drinks, I walked her home, and before I could leave, she invited me in for tea last night," Soarin replied, his smile seemly widening as he spoke. "Yeah, but why are you here still?" Dash replied, still confused. "So you had some tea and left, but why are you here now?" "Who said anything about me leaving last night, Dash?" he asked as he leaned forward. "Your mother was nice enough to let me spend the night." "Eww, she let your drunken ass stay here?" Dash replied, a bit grossed out that he actually stayed over. "Hope she made you sleep on that rickety old couch where you belong." "Nah, she let me sleep in one of the beds." "Which bed? Better not have been my old room because I'll be pissed," Dash said to him, the mental image of the perverted stallion rolling around in her bed, jerking it to just her scent and even her old school uniform playing in her mind. "Not your room either," he replied, finding that she was a bit dense. "The spare room?" "Nope." "What other beds are there then?" Dash asked, wondering what was going on. Going quiet for a second, Soarin let out a big yawn and stretched his back out, until a few loud pops came from it before he spoke. "You're really slow, you know that right?" he spoke, mid yawn. "Ugh, I'll just say it. I slept in your mother's bed." "Then where did she sleep?" Dash asked. Brining his hoof up to his face, Soarin started to realize that Dash was either naive or she was just playing stupid. "Same room as me." "She slept on the floor?" "Oh for the love of... Dash, I and your mother slept in the same bed last night!" Soarin shouted back at her. "W-what?" Dash stammered out as she felt like she hit a brick wall mid-flight. "We had drinks at the bar and then your mother invited me back to her place. We then fucked each other’s brains out for almost every waking hour last night!" "W-what did you just say!?" Dash stammered out as she took a step back out of shock. "I said I fucked your mother in her bed last night," Soarin said to her as he calmed down and smiled at her slyly. “I fucked her so hard she screamed my name over and over again.” "Bullshit! My mother would never sleep with a faggot loving stallion humper like you!" Dash snapped, ready to punch him in the face. "You sure about that, Dash? You sure your mother wouldn't want any of this?" he replied as he moved his hooves to his chest and rubbed them down it. "Because I can assure you she had all of it last night. In fact, she had so much of it that it actually broke the bed." “Shut up, you’re lying!” Dash snapped at him. “You sure? You could ask your mom or even go check out her bed.” "I think you're living in some stupid fantasy world, Soarin!" "Do you really think that... Dashie?" Soarin replied. "W-what did you just call me?" Dash asked, knowing very well that only Pinkie Pie and her own mother called her by that nickname. "Sorry, does Rain Butt or ‘Bow sound better?" Soarin spoke with a snicker. “I could just call you Rain from now on if you wanted.” "H-how did... how did you learn those names!?" Dash started to speak louder with anger. "Like I said, me and your mother talked about things, and one of those things were nicknames she gave you when you were a filly," he told her as he took another bite of his toast. "N-no way, you're full of it," she stuttered out before she looked to the kitchen area that was blocked off by a thin wall."Mom!? Why did you tell Soarin my nicknames!?” "Sweetheart, why are you upset?" Firefly replied as she peeked her head from a doorway in the kitchen. "I and Soarin just talked about nicknames he had as a little colt and I thought I would tell him yours." "W-well he doesn't deserve to know!" Dash screamed as she rushed towards the kitchen. "A-and he keeps saying that you and he slept in the same bed last night as well!" As Dash came to the kitchen area, she quickly noticed that her mother was starting to blush and had the look of a school filly that cheated on a test. "Well... we kinda did actually," Firefly replied as she sheepishly blushed. "N-no way... you're kidding, right?" Dash quieted down as she looked at her mother with a saddened look. "Y-you actually slept with that stallion humping faggot!?" "You sure he's gay?" Firefly replied, a bit shocked her daughter had little regard for Soarin. "Didn't seem like it last night." "Eww! Please tell me you're not serious!?" Dash replied with a disgusted look on her face. "Well... we kinda broke the bed, so I doubt he's gay," Firefly replied back. “Eww!! You are serious! Ewwwwwww!!!” Dash whined at her. "I promise I'll help you buy a new one!" Soarin shouted from the seating area. "Shut up, Soarin!" Dash snapped, really not wanting to hear his voice."Mom! I can't believe you! Out of all the stallions, you had to pick him last night!?" "Rainbow, I'm a grown mare who can invite whatever male I want over," Firefly said as she took the tone of a stern mother. "Besides, I didn't know you and he saw each other until I brought him home." "And you... you still... ugh, I don't even want to say it," Dash spoke out, more disgusted and barely able to say the words she wanted. "And we still fucked like animals even though you turned me down!" Soarin shouted from his spot. "Shut the hell up, Soarin!" Dash replied as Firefly just simply giggled. "Dash, I don't know why you're giving him a hard time," Firefly said to her as she started to trot back to the toaster. "Plus I don't think you should give him much trouble either." “Why?" Dash asked. "Oh, forgot to tell you something else, Skittles," Soarin shouted at her, while bringing up another nickname her mother called her. "We're actually going to start dating." "W-what!?" Dash shouted. "He's right, dear, he's actually taking me out to a nice restaurant later tonight," Firefly replied, her mind becoming preoccupied with what dress she should wear. "What!?" Dash snapped again. "Don't worry, I'll make sure your mother is treated like royalty!" Soarin shouted. "What!?" Dash snapped once again. "Sweetheart, I don't know why this bothers you. You know you live in your own house, right?" Firefly replied. "Yeah but... you're dating... him!? Him of all ponies!?" Dash replied as her voice got more frantic. "Ain't nothing wrong with dating a Wonderbolt!" Soarin once again spoke out. “Mom!? Why do you have to date him!?” Dash whined, not liking the idea that Soarin could potentially became her step dad. “Because he treats me nice and living alone is starting to become depressing,” Firefly replied with a sigh. “Yeah… b-but you can… yo-you.” Dash stuttered, trying to find her words. She wanted to bring up her real father, but considering both her parents got divorced in a rather nasty fashion, she didn’t want to bring up his name. “Sweetheart, I know you two had your differences, but it’s my choice who I want to be with,” Firefly told her. “And besides, you never saw me complaining about mares you brought home when you lived here.” “M-mom, not so loud! He doesn’t need to know that either,” Dash spoke in a hushed tone as her cheeks turned red. “Well then you shouldn’t give me sass about who I bring home!” Firefly replied in a swift and harsh tone that made Dash lower herself to the ground. “Yeah but… w-well he only wants to be with you because of me. He’s just doing this to spite me,” Dash replied as she found her voice turning from anger to more of a way of pleading with her. “Well it sure didn’t feel like that last night with him,” Firefly responded. “Stop telling me how much you enjoyed it. I don’t want to hear that.” “She’s only telling you what you missed out on!” Soarin shouted yet once again. “Soarin, I said shut up already!” “Dash, stop it!” Firefly snapped. “Soarin is a good stallion that makes me feel like a mare again. Just because you didn’t want to give him the time and energy doesn’t mean I don’t want to.” Opening her mouth and getting ready to reply, Dash realized that she wasn’t going to win with her mother. Like Dash herself, Firefly was stubborn and could be very vocal about the situation if she really wanted. Dash knew she was holding back thanks to her being her daughter, and she knew that trying to convince her otherwise would be futile. “Uhhh, I don’t like this,” Dash groaned as she kicked a hoof at the flooring. “I just… I just don’t want you to be hurt again.” Seeing that her daughter still cared about her feelings, Firefly let her own anger die down and moved a hoof gently to Dash’s chin. “Sweetheart, I know the circumstances are not the best for you, but if he gives me any trouble, I’ll dump him faster than rain falling from a cloud,” Firefly reassured her, and that was enough for Dash to crack a smile. “I know, but I still don’t trust him,” Dash replied as she looked in the general direction of Soarin. “Don’t worry, I’m able to handle myself,” Firefly replied as she moved her daughter’s chin and slowly turned her face back to her. “Also sweetheart, it’s nice you came to visit me. You know I love it when you visit.” “S-sorry my greeting was like it was,” Dash replied, a bit embarrassed she made a big scene. “Guess I got a bit carried away.” “It’s alright,” Firefly responded as she gave Dash a quick kiss on her forehead. “Now, do you still want some toast? Maybe even some coffee?” “Yeah, breakfast would be nice. Sorry for the scene I caused,” Dash replied as she gave her mother a quick nuzzle on the cheek. “I’ll be at the table.” Going silent and nodding at each other, both mares went their separate ways. While Firefly returned to getting the bread into the toaster, Dash returned to the living area and instantly gave the condescending stallion sitting at the table a cold glare. As she trotted to him, he remained calm and took the last sip of his coffee before he put the cup back down on the table. “You seem calm now,” Soarin said first as Dash pulled out a chair and sat down. “Don’t push me, Soarin. You hurt my mom and I’ll make you regret it,” Dash replied in a calm tone as well. “Don’t worry, I know what you can do and I know better. I promise I won’t hurt your mother in any way, shape, or form. Now how about we forget about last night and call a truce?” Sticking out his hoof as a show of good faith, Soarin waited for Dash to give him a hoof bump in return. For a second she just stared at it, but, smiling widely, she stuck her own hoof out and bumped it against his while making sure she put a bit more force behind. Though he winced and gave his hoof a shake as he pulled it away, he was ready for whatever trials awaited him. Author's Note I may just expand on this little story if people show interest in it.
