Guardians of Equestria
Intro
Once upon a time, in the war ridden land of Equestria. Yes I'm talking about the same Equestria. Just one from long before Celestia's thousand years of peace.
This is the Equestria I was born in, I was raised in, and what I fought to bring peace to. Yes if you check when this book was made you'd see it was fairly recently. That's because of the Crystal Empire, and when Sombra made it vanish.
Now I wasn't in the crystal empire at the time, but merely guarding a town. This town had strategic importance to keep our troops heading towards the Crystal Castle. I was Luetenant at the time and my platoon was set to guard this town. At my side stood Quill Feathers. A gryphon that made Equestria his home. We were standing on the balcony of a crystal house over looking the battle.
All I remember is a fierce battle between mind controlled ponies and our forces doing their best not to kill them. There were to say some... exceptions when a large stallion was too much to take down.
"Story look!!!" Quill pointed with a talon to where the Princesses were. I checked and watched as the princess joined their horns together and shot a bright beam of light. After I wiped the spots from my eyes I used my wings to block enough of it for me to see.
The beam hit Sombra and desentegrated him. We thought it was over but then he did something. He screamed in pain then launched a spell towards the sky. Then it exploded with black magic and that's all I could remember.
I woke upon the porch of the crystal house by the shaking of my allied gryphon friend. And I understood the fear in his eyes as we looked upon a different Equestria. One were the ground was laid with snow. But at the time when we awoke we couldn't remember a thing of what just happened. We just wandered around the town asking around to see if anypony knew what was going on.
It wasn't until a train appeared on the rails that slaves would pull carts on. We named the rails The Rails of Freedom as we cut the chain and freed the townsfolk.
This unicorn in what looks like the uniform of the captain of the guard. But I watch him die on that battlefield near the Crystal Castle. "who are you and what's going on?!!!" I demanded of this strange unicorn.
"Aaaww, Luetenant Storyteller of Equestria's guard!!! I've read so many of your stories in school and to my little sister. Course the real you is a huge priviliges rather than a history book somepony who never knew you wrote. Oh!!! Where are my manners!!! My name is Prince Shining Armor. And you've been gone for a loooong time." this unicorn kept talking and talking but that isn't what bothered me. I did my best to pay attention but it was pretty hard to believe what he was telling me was true. But what was bothering me was this alicorn who stood by him. The only ones I knew of was Celestia, Luna, and the ones before them. Now my curiosity was getting to me. I wanted to know where am I, when am I, and how much has changed. I don't like this. Not one bit.
