After discovering a new shining star in the night sky, Meteor Spark is requested to leave her family farm and move to Ponyville. There, she becomes friends with most of the population, most notably Twilight Sparkle and Applejack.

Meteor Spark blends in to the population easily. Her mane is styled the same of Lyra Heartstrings and Roseluck, two mares who she occasionally visits to pass time.

Stars of the Future is the story of an OC background pony. So it's probably very boring. Until she is tasked to find her 'special' group of friends.

I was born out in the middle of nowhere, countryside. Proper farm gal I was. My brother however was a real techie, didn't care a tad about the farm.

I grew up with my pet dog Murphy. We'd go down to the stream every sunset to play fetch, sunset was my favourite time of day.

It was a beautiful sunset today. The orange grass and pink clouds went on for miles. I really didn't want to go back to the barn.

And I regretted it when I did.

My parents were yelling at each other, loud enough that my brother was downstairs staring at them. Apparently we hadn't made any sales in weeks. Soon we wouldn't be able to afford the farm's bills. I couldn't believe it, who wouldn't want to buy our carrots? I stayed a while longer until I realised it was dark outside. I rushed up the stairs, into my bedroom, then through the double doors that led to my balcony. I calibrated my telescope and started looking for new celestial bodies. Although I lived on a farm and it was my lifestyle, my special talent was astronomy. Each night I would search Luna's sky for new bodies. I never did though.

However this night was different. I saw something in the corner of my eye, something, odd. I zoomed in my telescope, now seeing a star I had never seen before. I quickly checked my astronomy book to see if this star was in there.

It wasn't.
