The thruth and nothing but the truth
It had been a while ever since Twighlight Sparkle got her new castle. Her friends where drinking tea in the parlor with the exception of Pinkie Pie drinking some chocolate milk. Spike now 17 years old was out in the kitchen making some cookies for the ponies to snack on, he no longer wore a apron he thought it was just really dumb for him now
"Anyone want some cookies?"
he ask with a charming smile his voice had gotten deeper but still the same
"OH! I WANT SOME!"
Pinkie squeaked getting 5 cookies and chewing them all at the same time
"Thank you darling,"
Rarity said only grabbing one taking a small bite of it,
"Thanks bro,"
"Thank you Spike that was really kind of you,"
both Rainbow, and Fluttershy said
"Thanks,"
Apple Jack lastly said
"No problem guy,"
Spike made a peace sign and walked off. Twighlight was walking through the halls reading a book
"ah!"
she said bumping into Spike
"woah!"
Spike catch all the cookies in the tray and the book as well
"Sorry about that Twilight what are you reading?"
he asked being polite
"Oh nothing just about the Canterlot,"
she answer
"Thats cool want a cookie?"
"Um yes thank you,"
she said grabbing a few. Spike went back to the kitchen and washed all the bowls he had use, he over herd what the mane six were talking about in the parlor
"I'm so exited my parents will be coming over for the weekend!"
Rarity said excitedly
"REALLY?! BECAUSE MAUD WILL BE COMING OVER TODAY AND SHE AND I WILL HAVE SO,SO,SO,SO,SO MUCH FUN!"
Pinkie Pie said jumping around the table
"Thats cool my cousin will be coming over next month but boy is she a gossiper...but I don't really mind it,"
Rainbow Dash said putting her hooves behind her head relaxing
"Yeah I'm going over to Appaloosa in a couple of weeks from now to go and visit Braeburn, says he's having some trouble with apple bucking some apples,"
Apple Jack made face, Spike was lost in thought he had always wondered what it would be like to have a family he just shook it off.
Later that day after everypony had left, Twighlight went over to Spike's room and went inside Spike was sitting in his bed, his legs where in his chest and he was hugging them tightly he looked up to see Twighlight
"Oh...hey Twi,"
he said looking down
"Spike?...whats wrong is something bothering you,"
she walked over to him and sat down with him
"Twighlight..."
he whispered out holding in his tears
"I-I know you told me you didn't know but..."
a tear escaped his eye
"Who are my real parents?"
he squeaked out holding in his tears, Twighlight rubbed is back
"Its alright Spike don't hold in your feelings...let it all out,"
Spike began to cry so deeply Twighlight felt like crying as well
"I-I don't get it?! *gasp* *gasp* I-I mean somepony m-must know something?!"
he yelled as he gasped for air and cried some more
"Spike...their where some things that I might not have told you before..."
Twighlight trailed off as Spike looked up he looked at her shock, Twighlight sigh and continued
"You were to young to understand back then but now I think its time...the first time you asked me where you came from I was curious myself so I asked Princess Celestia she told...she told me..."
"She what?"
Spike asked worried
"She...*sigh* her guards had went to a mountain far east from Appleloosa and stole a dragon egg away from its parents to bring it to Canterlot for a student to hatch it,"
she looked down at Spike
"For a student to hatch it...you were that student!"
he said looking at her and then thought was it Celestia's fault? The guards? or Twighlight? Twighlight just sigh and kissed Spike in the forehead
"GoodNight Spike remember I will always care for you,"
she said walking away shutting the lights and door leaving Spike in the dark.
Spike was lost in thought he laid on his side thinking he began to think, to him for a long time Twighlight was like a mother to him he mumbled quietly
"If Twighlight really cared about me...she would have told me...she and Celestia kept it all to themselves,"
he clinched his fist getting angry
"They think I'm to young...to young for this...to young for that, to young,to young,to YOUNG!"
he screamed in his head he got up and packed a backpack
"I'll show her...I'll show them all,"
he murmured. He packed his bits, a pillow and blanket, a bouncing ball and his favorite book, he began to write a letter for Twighlight to read he put in his bed and left his room putting on a black cloak. He went inside the kitchen graving the jar of jewels for him to eat and ran off.
The next day Twighlight went straight to Spike's room as soon as she woke up and knocked on the door
"Spike?"
she called out,
"Are you up?"
nopony answered she opened the door that was surprisingly unlocked
"Spike?"
she saw a note in his bed she picked it up and read it
"Dear Twighlight Sparkle...I have left the castle and won't be coming back anytime soon I must go and find my real parents and my real family and find them the that really care about me and tell me the truth and nothing but the truth and never keep secrets from me I promise to come back...someday I still care about you and my friends but I need to know more goodbye...Spike,"
Twighlight drop the letter as it hit the ground she began to tear up
"No...no,no,no,no,no,no,no NO!"
she yelled out as she fell on Spikes bed and began to sob
"SPIKE!" she screeched out and began to sob some more
"How could you?...how could you?"
she mumbled. She began to write a letter to her friends telling them to come over as fast as they could, she quickly told her guards to take it to them, she hoped they would get here soon.
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Apple Jack and Fluttershy came running inside the castle
"WHAT HAPPEN?"
they all asked at the same time, Twighlight looked at them her mane was a mess her eye's where red and she had bags under her eye's
"I'm glad your here Spike has ran away because he wants to know where he came from and who are his real parents and,and,"
she began to cry again, Apple Jack hugged her
"Don't cry sugar cube we'll find Spike don't worry about a thing,"
she said giving Twighlight a hug followed by her friends
"'Yes dear we will find our Spikey-wikey again,"
Rarity said everypony nodded
"Thank you," she whispered out.
Spike was now is the dessert he had already past Apleloosa he hadn't slept
"Sleep ugh who needs it,"
he mumbled as he bit the tip a gem. As he kept walking something was shaking the grown
"huh?"
he stopped and turned around to see a stampede of buffalos
"Oh-oh," he said running.
The buffalos we're catching up
"AAAHHHHH!"
he yelled and he blacked out. He woke up in a rug dizzy
"Are you okay?"
said a voice it took a few seconds for Spike to realize it was Little Strongheart the buffalo she gave him some water he sipped it
"Little...Strongheart?-aah!"
Spike yelled as he touch his forehead it was covered with bandages
"W-what happened?" he asked looking worried
"Oh! we where doing are daily run when we saw you in the middle of the rode you tripped on a rock and hit your head we carried you to our home and we helped you out right chief?,"
"That is correct," he said walking by
"But may I ask why are you all alone without any of your friends?"
"Oh...that," Spike put a guilty face
"I kind of...left home," he said not looking at her eyes
"W-what?...why?" she asked
"Its...a long story and I need to go....know," he said getting up and began to walk away a bit shaky but manage to keep on walking
"Later," he said plainly he wasn't in the mood for talking he wanted to leave as soon as possible
"Um...okay...bye..." she said waving her hoof out. As soon as he was gone she put a worried face
"What was that all about?" she said to herself. Spike kept on walking he swiped the sweat on his forehead night began to crawl
"I should really find somewhere to hit the hay," he thought he spotted a cave
"Not a castle but alright,"
he mumbled and put his backpack down he rest his head on a rock he wasn't sleepy he sigh
"Hey you this cave is only for the family members of the Dragon family only!" a voice from the distance said coldly, Spikes eyes went wide
"D-d-did you say Dragon family?" he asked
"Yes who are you?" 2 dragons came out one was a dark purple and had yellow scales the other one was green and had purple scales
"I'm Thorn," the green one said
"I'm Spine," the dark purple as well said
"I-I-I'm Spike...Spike the dragon I been in a journey to find out who my family is and who I am," he said firmly
"Wait...Spike?...brother?!" Spine said running up to him and looked at his arm it had a birthmark of a eye
"Oh yeah thats my birthmark...I was born with it," he said shyly, Spine showed his arm as well he had it too Thorn did the same he also had it, Spike was shock
"Y-y-your my b-brothers?" Spike asked
"Yes...come," Spine dragged Spike
"Wait," he said and quickly grabbed his backpack.
The 2 dragons took him deeper in the cave they reached the end and their was 2 larger dragons the 2 dragons bowed
"Mother, father we have finally found are long lost brother Spike,"
Thorn said the 2 dragons turned around one was female and the other a male
"I see,"
said the male getting closer to Spike smelling him and then looked at his arm
"He has the mark...hmm...but smells like a pony,"
he said
"My name is Splinter and this is my wife vine we are...your parents,"
he said Spike had tears in his eyes but wiped them away
"Your...crying," Splinter said firmly
"N-no cryings for the weak," he said Splinter put up a smirk
"I see you are strong and deny to be weak when you really are...I like that,"
he said, Vine put her tail in Spikes face lifting his chin up
"Its been so long dear how could does evil ponies take you away from us," she said looking at him
"Oh..yeah," Spike said looking sad
"W-what happen?" he finally asked
"Oh yes that story..." his mom trailed of,
"Its a long story son," his father said Spike shrugged
"I'm not going anywhere," his dad just chuckled
"Well I suppose...It was 17 years ago....me and your mother where waiting for all of you to hatch when all of a sudden..."
FLASHBACK
"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"
Splinter roared at the ponies trying to reach his eggs, Vine was surrounding the eggs with her tail slightly growling at the unicorn, he doge her and took only one egg a purple dotted egg on the side said Spike and ran off. All the other ponies evacuated the cave, Splinter was damaged he looked at Vine she was crying the 3 eggs that were just their now only 2 eggs remained, Splinter hugged Vine
"Its alright," he said.
END OF FLASHBACK
Spike was looking at the ground closing his eyes imagining the scene and then looked up at his dad
"Thats...thats just....just....terrible ," Spike said looking at his mom
"Yes...indeed...now tell us about you," Splinter asked turning his back at Spike, Spike sigh and told him everything
"And I lived in a castle with my best friend Twighlight Sparkle the pony who hatched me..." he drifted off, his father turned around to look at him straight at Spike
"They were using you," he said
"WHAT?! NO!...not...really," he said thinking about it
"Even you are denying it," he responded
"No...not completely," he said
"But now no longer will you be living like a prisoner," Splinter said
"No longer you will have limits," Spine said
"No longer will you be left behind," Thorn said
"And no longer you will be alone now you have a family," his mom finished off, they all came in on Spike for a group hug
"No longer alone," Spike repeated and closed his eyes
"A whole new life."
