The Gentle Dark
Who is the pony everyone calls a "phantom"? Where did he come from? And is he really a menace . . . ?
After exploring the part of Everfree Forest thought by many to be haunted, Fluttershy runs afoul of the "phantom pony": the mysterious Pegasus, Nocturne. Scared to death at first, Fluttershy later sees that Nocturne is a gentle, lonely pony, and becomes friends with him. With the help of her friends, she is now determined to help him fit back into the town he left behind. Can she help change the "phantom pony"? Will he fit in to the society that still fears him after all these years?
Yes, the first chapter seems rushed. But the entire story is not about Fluttershy befriending Nocturne; that's just the first chapter. The whole story is about Nocturne's reintegration into society. However, I wrote a supplementary story to support it, in case you find the first chapter insufficient. It's called "Kind Light -- A Gentle Dark Supplemental", and it is a more in-depth look at Nocturne and Fluttershy's growing friendship.
