In a mysterious world, there's a place if harmony. The land of Equestria, a place inhabited by colourful magical ponies graced with perfect health. But not all ponies are graced with perfect health. Some aren't fortunate to have this and are bound with the body conditions that lay among them. Whether this is paralysis, blindness, deafness, mutism or any loss of body function, these ponies have to deal with being different. But some ponies aren't welcomed by the family they are born into. They are given up to the Equestrian orphanage of disability. Here they grew up in a place surrounded by their own. But outside the gates, they are underestimated. They have no biological family, but with each other they are family and will together prove they aren't useless. That they are disABLE.

Vinyl Scratch awoke to find a warm figure laying on top of her. The warm figure snuggly slept across her snoring peacefully. From the sound of the figure, Vinyl Scratch quickly realised it was Lead Shade that was laying across her. Vinyl Gave off a moan of annoyance as she carefully arose from her bed making sure not to hurt Lead.

She gave Lead a push trying to wake her up. It took a few tries, but she managed to awaken her. Lead gave out a stretch as she reached over to the braille writer and typed out a message for Vinyl. With Vinyl being blind, and Lead being Deaf, it was their only mean if real communication. They were good friends but communication was always hard.
