Fluttershy loved all of the animals in Equestria. Even the mean ones that most ponies considered to be monsters. Fluttershy opened up her cottage to them, giving them food, shelter, and plenty of love. Fluttershy’s personal pet was a rabbit named Angel Bunny. Fluttershy loved Angel Bunny, but Angel Bunny was bossy, always throwing away his food if it wasn’t prepared right, being mean to the other animal, and keeping Fluttershy from being with her friends just so she could pay more attention to him. Fluttershy never stood up to Angel Bunny, as she felt guilty if she did.

One day Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity Belle, Pinkie Pie, and Apple Jack were all out for their usual pet play date and picnic. Fluttershy was the last to show up. “Fluttershy, what took you so long?” Twilight asked. “Oh, I’m sorry” Fluttershy responded in her sheepish voice. “Angel Bunny wanted blueberry pancakes for breakfast, but I was all out of blueberries. And Angel Bunny refused to eat anything else so I had to go to the market and buy the last batch they had” Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. “Fluttershy you let that rabbit push you around way too much” Angel Bunny gave Rainbow Dash a nasty look.

Fluttershy shook her head. “Oh, I don’t mind. After all, I love Angel Bunny” “But does Angel Bunny love you back?” Rainbow Dash said. Angel Bunny, clearly angered, hopped over to Rainbow Dash’s pet tortoise Tank and kicked him over onto his back.  “No! Bad Angel Bunny!” Fluttershy said in a harsh tone. Rainbow Dash flipped Tank back onto his feet. “You see? He’s a complete bully!” Fluttershy placed Angel Bunny on her back. “I’m really sorry. I should Angel Bunny home” As Fluttershy left, Twilight walked over to Rainbow Dash. “I’m worried about Fluttershy. She usually gets along with all animals” Rainbow Dash shook her head. “But not all animals get along with her.”

The next day Fluttershy arrived at Sugarcube Corner. Angel Bunny rode along on her back, as usual. Fluttershy was greeted by Mrs.Cake. “Hello Fluttershy!” Mrs.Cake said in her usual cheery voice, “How can I help you today?” Angel Bunny hopped off Fluttershy’s back and onto the counter. “I’m just here to get the carrot cake that Angel Bunny wanted” Fluttershy placed a bag of bits on the counter. Mrs. Cake put away the bits and headed into the kitchen. She emerged with a tall carrot cake, adorned with carrots, flowers, butterflies, and bunnies.

“Wow Mrs. Cake, you’ve really outdone yourself” Fluttershy said with admiration. “Why thank you dear” Mrs. Cake replied. Angel Bunny stared at the cake, his eyes wide and his mouth drooling. The Cake twins, Pound and Pumpkin, were playing on the floor. They both looked up at the cake as soon as their mother brought it out. They too were also mesmerized by it’s beauty. Pound Cake flew up onto the counter and his sister followed by levitating. The two babies smiled as they tried to touch it. Angel Bunny noticed them, and he wasn’t happy. He hopped over and kicked the Cake twins away from his carrot cake. Pound and Pumpkin both burst out crying.

“Oh my! I am so sorry Mrs. Cake” Mrs. Cake hugged her two children, trying to calm them down. “Get that brute out of here now!” Mrs. Cake shouted, looking directly at Angel Bunny. Fluttershy grabbed Angel Bunny and slowly backed out of Sugarcube Corner. All the while, Angel Bunny reached for his carrot cake. When they arrived back at the cottage, Fluttershy set Angel Bunny down on the floor. “Angel Bunny, what is wrong with you? What you did to the Cake twins was just plain mean” Angel Bunny ignored her, instead rushing to get a cookbook and showing Fluttershy a picture of a carrot cake. “No, you will not be getting any cake. I am putting my hoof down” Angel Bunny was furious. he shoved the picture in Fluttershy’s face. “I said No! I’m sorry, but you’ve forced me to do this” Fluttershy then gave Angel Bunny the stare. Angel Bunny then punched Fluttershy in the face.

Three days had passed, and no ponie had seen or heard from Fluttershy. Twilight and Pinkie Pie both went over to her cottage to check on her. “I sure hope Fluttershy is alright” said Twilight. “I heard all about the incident with Angel Bunny from Mrs. Cake” Pinkie Pie said. “I hope Fluttershy doesn’t blame herself. The two arrived at Fluttershy’s cottage and knocked at the door. “Fluttershy, are home?” Twilight asked. Fluttershy opened the door a crack. “Can I help you?” she said in low tone. “You’ve been locked up in your cottage for three days. Is anything wrong?” Pinkie Pie asked. “No. Nothing at all” Fluttershy said with a whisper. Twilight stepped forward. “May we come in?” Fluttershy shook her head. “I don’t think that’s a good idea” Fluttershy was about to close the door when Pinkie Pie stopped her. “Please? Just for a little bit?” “Ok” Fluttershy said with a sad shy. She opened the door and let Twilight and Pinkie Pie into the cottage.

The inside of Fluttershy’s cottage was a mess. Furniture had been turned over, pictures were torn down from the walls, and food was thrown everywhere. “Fluttershy, what happened in here?” Twilight asked. “Oh, Angel Bunny didn’t like what I served him for dinner so he threw a little fit” “A fit? It looks more like a hurricane came through here” said Pinkie Pie. “And why are you wearing sunglasses inside?” Fluttershy just lowered her head. “No reason” She whispered. “Fluttershy, did Angel Bunny do something to you?” Twilight asked. Fluttershy began to sweat with nervousness. Twilight put her hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “Fluttershy, we’re your friends. You can trust us” Fluttershy sighed. “Ok” She removed the sunglasses, revealing a swollen black eye.

Twilight and Pinkie Pie were both in shock. “Fluttershy, what happened?” Twilight asked. “It-it was Angel Bunny. He was very mean towards the Cake babies, and I tried to discipline him with the stare, but he hit me” “And you just let him get away with it?!” Pinkie Pie shouted out with a mixture of anger and shock. “It was my fault. I shouldn’t have tried to use the stare on him” Fluttershy began to tear up. Twilight put her hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “Fluttershy, it’s not your fault. Angel Bunny is clearly abusing and taking advantage of you. Something has to be done”

Fluttershy tried to speak, but then she noticed Angel Bunny giving her a nasty look. Fluttershy lowered her head and backed into a corner. Pinkie Pie noticed what Angel Bunny was doing confronted him. “Hey! What is your problem!?” Pinkie Pie said angrily. “Fluttershy has been nothing but kind and loving to you, and you treat her like garbage? How dare you!” Angel Bunny just laughed at her. Pinkie Pie picked up Angel Bunny. “Now listen you little thug!” Angel Bunny then kicked Pinkie Pie on the nose. Pinkie Pie dropped Angel Bunny. “Pinkie!” Twilight rushed over to Pinkie Pie to check on her. Pinkie Pie’s nose was red and swollen. Twilight stared down Angel Bunny with a nasty look. “What is your problem?!” Angel Bunny then spit in Twilight’s eye. Twilight covered her face, but then Angel Bunny tripped her. Angel Bunny laughed as Twilight fell on her side.

Fluttershy was watching the whole time. At that moment, something within her snapped. Fluttershy stood up, ran over to Angel Bunny, and gave him the most intense stare ever. “ENOUGH!” She shouted. “It’s one thing to bully the other animals and myself, BUT HOW DARE YOU BULLY MY FRIENDS!” Fluttershy was angry that her face was bright red. Angel Bunny tried to back away, but Fluttershy cut him off. “Oh no you don’t! I have had it with your bossy attitude! I took you in, gave you nothing but kindness, and this is how you treat me?! WELL I’VE HAD IT! You’re not going to boss me around anymore! I want you out of this cottage now!” Fluttershy then turned her back on Angel Bunny. Shaking, Angel Bunny slowly backed out of the cottage, then ran off into the Everfree forest.

Twilight approached Fluttershy. “Wow Fluttershy, I’ve never seen you so angry before” Fluttershy calmed and spoke in her regular voice. “I’m...I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me” “Don’t be sorry” Twilight said with a smile. “You stood up for yourself against a bully” “Yeah! You should be proud!” Fluttershy didn’t know what to think. “Angel Bunny had been with me for so long. I guess I just got used to the abuse.” “Well now you can finally live in peace!” Pinkie Pie said. The three friends smiled and had a group hug.

One month had passed, and peace and kindness had returned to Fluttershy’s cottage. She continued to take in animals of all kinds, with the exception of one. Every now and then, Angel Bunny would view Fluttershy from the edge of the Everfree forest. He wanted to come back, but during his time away he learned that what he did was wrong. Exile was his self punishment. As for Fluttershy, she would occasionally look out the window, expecting to see Angel Bunny come hopping up to the door. But she knew that ultimately she had to move on. To focus on a brighter future, and be bogged down by the sadness of the past.
