//-------------------------------------------------------// You Know You're Grounded When... -by Happy Soul- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Six ponies entered the bakery, four walking, one flying, one bouncing. The flying pony landed as the bouncing one rushed to the kitchen and called "Mr Cake! Mrs Cake! I'm back!" and then rushed back out to the table where her supposed friends were. Of course they were there, and they never failed to put a smile on her face. The pink pony, Pinkie Pie, pulled out six milkshakes from her mane, handing them out as she listed the names of the ponies she was giving them to. "One for Twilight, one for Dashie, one for AJ, one for Fluttershy, one for Rares and one for me!" "Thank you, darling." "Thanks, Pinks." "Thank you, Pinkie Pie." "Thanks..." "Thank ya'll." The group of friends talked among themselves, generally having a great time. Fluttershy and Rarity were engrossed in talking about the newest fashion trends, while Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Twilight were debating the Trotland government, the Apple and the pegasus saying "No" to independence and Twilight saying "Yes", both sides giving their reasons why. In the middle of it all was Pinkie Pie, trying to get hold of one of her friends for at least two seconds. "Hey, do you remember the time when-" "Just a minute, darling Pinkie." "Dashie, remember that really funny private joke we had-" "Just a sec, Pinks." Suddenly the door to the bakery swung open and three familiar fillies came trotting in and up to the table. When they couldn't get hold of their friends, even Pinkie, they thought that fulfilling a dare (by Diamond Tiara herself) set half an hour before their arrival would prove to be interesting. She had dared them to snoop around the bakery kitchen. Going in the kitchen was a good idea that wouldn't bore them much. Since when was going into a busy and potentially dangerous kitchen just for a dare a bad idea? The Crusaders tiptoed through the crowds and underneath tables as they made their way to the kitchen door. Scootaloo grinned. "Here we go, into the kitchen, to fulfil the dare." "It's gonna be so cool!" Sweetie Belle whispered back. "Uh, Crusaders, dontcha think that we should just drop the dare-" "Come on!" Scootaloo hissed. "If we don't, we're not hearing the end of it!" Apple Bloom reluctantly agreed in the end and they all went over to the kitchen door. Sweetie Belle looked up at it, the door dwarfing her small figure. "We need to get in there quick, unless you want somepony to see us." "Yup, so let's go, Crusaders." Scootaloo jumped and buzzed in the air in excitement. "Wooh-" "Shhhh!" A white hoof appeared over Scootaloo's mouth. "Let's go!" They opened the kitchen door ever so slightly and a sweet smell, sweeter than the eating area, wafted through. Nopony seemed to notice the door was ajar, or that three fillies were stood eagerly, an orange hoof opening the door wider and wider. As soon as it was open enough, the Crusaders rushed in and hid against a counter. Mrs Cake walked past and went through the door, not noticing them. The three sighed in relief. "Let's split up, it'll give us a better chance at stayin' here fer longer." The three split up and Scootaloo hid in a bin, Sweetie behind a counter and Apple Bloom in a large cupboard. When Scootaloo peeked through the gap between the bin's lid and the bin, she could see Mr Cake with a plate of leftovers in his mouth. Crud. She forgot that she was in a bin. Mr Cake approached the bin and cracked the lid open, just a little. Scootaloo shrunk down a little. He lifted the lid off fully, causing Scootaloo to be seen. Mr Cake jumped and dropped the plate of leftovers, causing it to shatter on the floor and food to sprawl everywhere. "Y-You! What have you been doing in here? Answer me! It can't just be you, can it, where are your friends? Oh dear, I'm rambling." "Well, I guess we lost the dare..." Sweetie mumbled. "Ah knew this weren't a good idea from the start," Apple Bloom said. "If they'd just have listened to me..." "Well?" Mr Cake said. "Okay! We got lost!" "Scootaloo..." the baker replied in a menacing tone. The pressure was bearing down on the filly. "Me and the Crusaders were doing a dare! I'msosorry-" "Where are your friends? You are all getting punished for this." They both found Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom soon enough and they were led out into the dining area. Mr Cake walked up to the table where the girls were sat and got their attention by clearing his throat. They all looked on and they saw Sweetie, Apple Bloom and a slightly smelly Scootaloo. "Your sisters here have been snooping around in my kitchen and made me drop a plate of leftovers!" Mr Cake said angrily. "Squirt..." "Sweetie!" "Apple Bloom..." Sweetie Belle looked up to her sister. "Sorry..." "Yeah..." Scootaloo smiled unconvincingly. "Ah'm sorry sis, Ah shouldn't have..." The three older mares looked at each other and back to their younger sisters or friends. The three spoke in unison. "You're grounded." "Aww..." the fillies said in unison. Pinkie spoke up. "Hey, this is a random thought, but... we've all done bad things as a filly, right?" Everypony nodded, even Twilight after a moment's hesitation. "Why don't we tell each other bad things we've done? Just to spice up the conversation a notch? I'll go first." She rubbed her chin. "Hmm..." Author's Note Well, here's another filly-based story. It will be told like a normal story but sometimes others will intervene. //-------------------------------------------------------// ...You Prank a Pony //-------------------------------------------------------// ...You Prank a Pony "Okay," Pinkie said, "let's get started. Turn on the spotlight!" At her command the lights dimmed and a spotlight shone down on the pink pony. She carefully seated herself on the table and addressed everypony in the room, whether they be annoyed, confused or just thinking of how this all came to be. "Hello everypony, as you all know I am Pinkie Pie, and as only some of you know I am going to tell you an exciting story of my childhood!" Murmurs bounced around the room and one pony in the audience cleared his throat. All attention turned to him. "You lived on a rock farm, Pinkie Pie." "Correct! But during my late, late childhood I moved to Ponyville with the Cakes and threw that amazing party you all remember!" Many ponies shook their heads but an equal amount nodded. "Good! Now then, let me tell you a story..." It was a day like any other for many, but not for Pinkie Pie, the filly full of surprises every day. That's me! Anyway, I woke up, laughed my head off, and zoomed downstairs for the cake the Cakes had made for me because I was so good at school! I found the Cakes soon enough and looked up Mrs Cake, licking my lips! "Where's the cake?" I asked excitedly. "My cake!" Mrs Cake looked down at me, but her eyebrows told it all. "Well..." I put on my really, really hard to resist puppy eyes and stared her into submission! No, not really. I just looked at her. "What happened to the cake?" Mrs Cake sighed. "You know... the bullies, Lantern Flame and Building Blocks?" she whispered. "Yeah, but where's my cake?" "I'm just getting to that," she told me politely, "They came in here... and-" "What? And what?!" "They... destroyed your cake. I tried giving them a right thrashing, but... they managed to run away before I could get them." My eyes welled up a little and I stomped off in a huff. "Those... those... those... How dare they!? I'll make them pay!" And I rushed up back to my room to find what I called "The Prank Drawer for the Keeping of Pranks Inside for Emergency Situations", also known as PDKPIES. "Huh," Rainbow Dash commented. "I always thought you just pulled them out of your mane." "I can do that too, Dashie." With that, Pinkie pulled a whoopee cushion from her candy-floss mane. "Just like that!" "I'm... not surprised. Carry on." "Great!" So, where was I? Oh yeah, I was going up to the PDKPIES to get a prank. Scootaloo, I'll get to what prank it was soon. I got in my room, shuffled through and gasped when I found the perfect one. It was. A piece. OF POOOOOOOOOO! No, not real poo. Just poo that looked really really real. I smiled. Perfect, I thought. I went into the kitchen when the Cakes weren't looking and covered the poo in water (after filling it with brown paint, of course) and leftover food. Then I put it in a paper bag and ran to the park where I knew the bullies would be, laughing my head off and trying not to let go of the poo in my mouth. I just about achieved this and the bullies were walking down the path. I waited for their arrival. I had this all planned out as I sat on the bench next to a fast, swirling river of wetness, smiling. I could see them now, strolling down the path and giggling and smirking. I didn't like them. Not one bit. Lantern Flame spotted me and told Building Blocks, who also looked over with a nasty smile. They were some of the meanest meaniepants ever! Well, apart from Gilda. "Hey you two!" "Pfft. Hey, Stinky Pie!" Lantern Flame jeered. "You'll see stinky soon..." I murmured, quiet enough for them not to catch it. "You gun' answer 'er or what?" Building Blocks said, coming close to me and lowering her head. "What's in th' bag?" "Why would you want to know?" "Cause we asked," Lantern said. "Yeah! Now tell us or yer gett'n a right batterin'!" "No." The bullies walked off, unsure of what to do or what to say. I pulled the poo out of the bag and laid it down next to me on the bench and stood up in front of it, waiting for their return. As expected, they returned and Lantern Flame butted me out of the way and sat down on the freezing, leftover-covered poo. And I laughed. She jumped up in surprise and her body was headed for the river, and she flared her wings. No effect. She went into the river head first. The current wasn't enough to sweep her away, but she grabbed onto a large rock by instinct. Lantern Flame looked up at me as Building Blocks stared at the wet pony, covered in brown water and leftover food. And me laugh turned into howling. "You-You're in the river! And you thought it was real poo! You thought you pood yourself!" "No I- I guess I did. But you'll pay!" Okay, it wasn't a very fun story after that. The Cakes found me, words were yelled and I got grounded. The end! "Uhh, nice story Pinkie," Applejack said, rubbing the back of her neck with a hoof. "Darling..." Rainbow Dash was laughing. "Pinkie, that was immoral of you." "I know," Pinkie said, "But it was fun. Who are we going to choose next? Hmm..." Author's Note Vote for which pony you want next! It can only be the Mane 6 at the momen t. VOTING IS CLOSED Twilight: 3 Rainbow Dash: 2 Applejack: 1 Fluttershy: 3 Rarity: 2 Looks like it's Twilight and Fluttershy. I'll work on Twilight first, it should be out as soon I as get round to writing it. //-------------------------------------------------------// ...You Lose Your Temper With Magic //-------------------------------------------------------// ...You Lose Your Temper With Magic "Hmm... Twilight!" Pinkie said. "You can go next!" "M-me? Oh no, I'm sure Fluttershy has a better story to tell. Leave me till last." "Twilight, you're so boring!" Pinkie flailed her hooves in the air for effect. "Just tell us!" "Me? I'm not boring! Just leave me till last, please!" By now everypony in the room was watching. "Everypony wants to know, Twilight! If it's so bad, get it out of the way!" "I guess I don't have a choice, do I...?" No answer. "Okay, well..." I was studying hard at Canterlot's School For Gifted Unicorns when the teacher cleared her throat. "Well," she said, "today we are going to be doing mathematics." A large groan emitted from all of the class. All of the class except me, anyway. Those guys didn't know how important maths was. It was the most important thing! Besides magic, of course. I looked around me, studying every face. They all looked bored. Why did they look bored? I thought. Rainbow Dash raised her hoof. "Yes?" "Because it was maths." Anyway, thanks to our friend here, I've forgotten where I am. Ah, now I remember. We were given worksheets and told to do our work. It was kind of hard for me back then, so I took more time than I would have liked. But it was okay as I was done before lunch and gave it to the teacher. At least, I waited to give it to the teacher as the line of other students who had rushed through blocked my way. I sighed as the teacher scanned all of them. "Wrong, wrong..." she muttered. As soon as she got to me, the bell for lunch rang in our ears. "No, you're not going, students," she said, "not until you correct your work." "B-but!" I said, waving my forelegs about. "What about me?" "Whaddya mean 'what about me'? You're staying here, too, and I'll be watching." "But I've done it!" "Well then," she said, getting up and moving to the desk, "here's the second sheet." A white magical aura wrapped around a piece of paper and floated it over to my desk, revealing harder sums than I could imagine at that age. I gripped my pencil tight with my magical aura and gritted my teeth, letting out a disapproving growl. "Now, now, let's not be like that." "But I'm tardy for lunch!" I cried. "And I never should be tardy! NEVER!" My magic took hold and a magenta coloured beam flew out of my horn and straight towards the teacher. The whole class was watching now as it hit her shoulder and she howled in pain. She took a few minutes to recover, but eventually she said, "class dismissed. Go to lunch." Ponies filed out of the room, pushing and shoving, as I stayed low at the back. The teacher spotted me. "And you," she said, "I'm going to have a word with your parents." I hung my head. "Okay, bye..." "Do you wanna build-" "No, Pinkie. No." Right then, I walked out of the room, my head hung low and blah blah blah. When I got to the dining area, everypony from my class started giggling as I got my food and sat down. I hung my head low as I channelled my magic to pick up my spoon, but the same teacher from earlier came walking up to me. "I have phoned your parents, and they said you're grounded." "GROUNDED!" I yelled. Suddenly a surge of magic flew out of my horn, hitting the light that illuminated the room and sending debris flying onto the floor. "GROUNDED! NOTHING! I DID NOTHING!" The teacher simply sighed. "Well, you hit my shoulder with a magic beam and blew up the light," she stated simply, "so you have done something to deserve your punishment." The teacher continued. "Anyway, you're Twilight, why do you care about being grounded?" "Because-because-because... I don't know," I replied, rubbing my chin with a hoof. "I really don't know. I just... I... I don't know." I began to panic. "B-but! I have to know! It's important I know, that I learn everything possible! And then there's something laid out in front of me, for all to look at, that I don't know! I have failed my kin! My genes! MY GENES! FAILED!" Tears formed in my eyes as I looked at the floor with everypony looking at me. "F-F-FAILED! I'VE FAILED MY GENES! SO I'VE FAILED MYSELF! AAAA-" "Getting a little too realistic with the screaming," Rarity said, "and the tears." "Sorry," Twilight sniffed, "it was such a sad time..." I screamed so much that I think it made more impact than when I unleashed giant Spike on the castle. Anyway, Princess Celestia rushed in with an army of royal guards to see that it was just me screaming. She dismissed her guards and the scream intensified as she came closer to me. Then she proceeded to shove her hoof into my mouth until I started choking and then took it out. Then she walked away, muttering under her breath. "Uh huh," said Applejack. "Is there much more ta tell?" "No," Twilight said quickly, turning to Pinkie. "Who's next?" Pinkie rubbed her chin for a moment before smirking and turning to the most shy of the six ponies. "Fluttershy, you're up." "M-me?!" Author's Note No voting today because Twilight and 'Shy got the same amount of votes. Sorry for the delay in uploading.
