What Lies at Heart
In The Beginning
Load Full StoryIn the beginning...
There was darkness... NO, Nothingness.
This is what was, Nothingness. All was still, silent, dark, cold. Devoid...
Then There was Thought. Singular, pure in nature, radiant in its beautiful simplicity.
And from Thought came something. All Alone in the vastness, in the Nothingness.
Nothingness sought to consume this something, Earth as Thought decided. Nothingness was cold, vast, corrupt while Earth was warm, simple and pure. This battle raged for a millennium.
Thought created again... Bright, bright burst forth, Sun as Thought decided again. With the birth of sun and intensity shot forth, rays of light pierced into the very heart of Nothingness, deep into its very core. waves of heat rolled out from Sun, breaking the chill that existed since the beginning.
Light and heat struck Earth and illuminated it for the first time. it wasn't long before Sun began to overwhelm Earth. Earth, bathed in constant heat and light, looked to Thought for relief. Long years later Thought had answered.
From Thought burst froth a gentle light, shy, calming, and quiet in comparison to Sun, Thought so named it Moon. So the three sisters where born, and in face of the three Nothingness retreated. Earth was warmed by Sun and soothed by Moon and the three moved in harmony with one another.
Thought created magic, giving it to the sister knowing Nothingness would return. While to the astonishment of Thought life had begun on Earth, unaided. Thought was proud, and knew that it would soon pass on from existence Thought then created once more. The Stars appeared. Countless brothers and sisters to Earth, Sun, and Moon
Nothingness hated all that was, small and spiteful tried, and fail to destroy the sisters. Upon failure, Nothingness was imprisoned within a physical body, and cast upon Earth to hate and suffer with the knowledge that it could not create.
Seeing that living among the life that had emerged the sister decided to take on physical forms. Leaving behind their heavenly forms, Sun and Moon sought Thought. Seeing that they had chosen their own path Thought was proud. Thought gave the two new Physical forms names as befitted them. To Sun Thought gave the name of Celestia, and to Moon gave the name Luna. Thought was saddened to see Earth had hid away as Earth was the first and oldest of the three.
Thought had strength enough to create one last time, and did so, then passed from existence.
Celestia and Luna mourned for a time, as long as they could because it was upon them to continue the harmony, moving the bodies through the heavens.
In time many things occurred; both good, wonderful, Magnificent and dad , cruel, terrible things, Celestia and Luna ruled in harmony while Earth remained hidden.
This how the world came to be.
