Pinkie's Young Life

It was a semi-bright day at the Pies' rock farm. Things had been good there lately, the rocks were doing well, Maud, Limestone, and Marble had just left to go study rocks at the Academy of Earth, and Pinkie had just earned her cutie mark. Though Pinkie was very excited about her cutie mark, her parents were concerned. Because Maud and the other two had just left, Pinkie was going to be the only one left on the farm with her parents. Though her parents were happy for their child earning her cutie mark, they were worried about what it was for. Her cutie mark was three balloons, and she had earned it by throwing a party. She had also shortened her name from her full name, Pinkamena Diane Pie, to just "Pinkie Pie". Her parents we getting old and needed someone to take over the rock farm after their departure, and since Pinkie's other sisters were going to rock school, she would have to be the one to look over the farm.

At dinner about two months after Pinkie had earned her cutie mark, she was talking to her parents about wanting to move off of the farm and into a place called PonyVille, a quaint little town only a short train ride away. Pinkie's mother thought that that was a great idea, while her father wasn't too thrilled about it. He talked to her about how they wanted to privilege her by having her take over the rock farm, but as he explained this to Pinkie, her smile slowly turned into a frown, and her mane dropped from its pink, curly mass into straight, slightly grayed out hair. Pinkie hated living on the rock farm, she didn't understand the point of raising rocks, since they don't grow and aren't living. She told her parents that she didn't want to grow up raising rocks for her life, and that she didn't really find this "privilege" very pleasing, and though it may be a privilege to any of her other sisters, it as more of a punishment for herself. There was a long silence after that, until her father spoke up. He told her that he was very disappointed by her, and that she disgraced the name of the Pie Family, since the rock farm business had been running in the family for many generations back. By this time, Pinkies mother had left the dinner table, because she couldn't stand to hear the arguing, then it was only Pinkie, and her father. They both lashed out at each other, arguing and arguing, until Pinkie's father stood up and slammed his front hooves on the table and screamed at Pinkie,

"Pinkamena Diane Pie! You will run this rock farm if it's that last thing you do! And once your sisters get back from school, I'm throwing you down the well in the middle of the night!". By this time, Pinkie was in tears, on the inside, she was bawling her eyes out, but on the outside, she showed little emotion. Pinkie looked up at her father through her long, dreary hair, and she turned toward the stairs to go up to her room. Tears started to run down her face as she walked silently up to the top floor of the house. She wasn't going to go to her room, she was going to see her mother, who is more understanding and supportive toward Pinkie. But as she looked inside the door to her parents bedroom, she was horrified by what she saw.
Pinkie ran down the stairs as fast as she could, she was screaming and crying. Her father turned around and yelled at her as to why she was screaming.
"M..m..mmm...mamas d..dd..ddead p..pp..papa! H..he....her n..nn...neck w..was c....cccc....cut s...sssttt....straight open!", Pinkie said in a shaky voice, "I don't know why she did that papa! Why would she do this to us?!?!" She said as she started crying. Pinkie approached her father for comfort, but he quickly backed away, and she fell over.
"Do you want to know why your mother killed herself?!?!", Pinkie's father screamed, "She did it because you are the most horrible disgrace this family has ever seen! She did it because she couldn't stand you! Now you little rat, get out of my house! GET OFF OF MY FARM!!!" Pinkie had tears rolling down her face as she stood up from the ground. She stared her father straight in the eyes and ran out of the house crying, without saying a word.

It has been two weeks since Pinkie has seen her father, and she was just outside of the farm grounds, no longer crying. She was not sad any more, she was angry, because she knew that her father had lied to her. She knew that her mother loved her, and that her mother had killed herself because she couldn't handle the arguing between Pinkie and her father. The time was about midnight, and the moon was full. She started to walk toward the farm, slowly. She wasn't normal, she was in a kind of "anger trance", and she couldn't control herself. Since the last time she had been to the farm, her three sisters had come home from rock school to see their mothers' funeral, which had happened the morning of the previous day. As Pinkie approached the house, the moonlight caught in her bloodshot eyes, making her pupils shrink. The light also showed the heavy tear stains on her cheeks. Pinkie entered the house, and didn't even flinch as the front door creaked open. Before she entered any of the rooms, she went into the kitchen and found a sharp kitchen knife. She stared at the knife and remembered the time she and her mother had used it to cut up vegetables for stew. Pinkie examined the knife. She found her mother's name engraved on it. Her eyes came together from their distorted directions as she read the engraving. But still, there was no emotion shown in her dull, grey face. Pinkie took the knife and walked up to her room. She had shared the room with her sisters, their beds were all in a row. As she came into the room, the door creaked, and Marble, always being a light sleeper, woke up and stared at Pinkie.
"Pinkie? What are you do-", Marble started, but couldn't finish because her throat had been sliced open as she was talking.
"Shush, sister, time to quiet down now", Pinkie said while holding the knife in front of her mouth. Pinkie didn't even flinch as she killed her sister. Next, she walked over to Limestone, her least favourite sister. She walked over to her, holding the knife close to her head. Then, with a few quick slashes, Limestone's snout and ears were cut off. By this time, Pinkie had blood dripping down her hooves, and splattered on her face, but she was smiling. She looked over at Maud, but didn't walk up to her. Maud was her favourite sister and best friend. Pinkie left the room, leaving Maud to rest while her other sisters lay dead in their own pools of blood.

Pinkie dropped the knife as she left her room. She started toward the other side of the house, were he father's bedroom was. She decided that she didn't want to kill him, but to do something much worse. As she opened the door, she was careful to keep silent, since the door normally creaked when opened. As light peered into the room, Pinkie's father woke up. He sat strait up, and looked around. "Who's there?" he said in a shaking voice. Pinkie was crawling in the shadows, and grabbed the hammer that was under the bed. She slowly rose up on the opposite side of the bed from her father. Pinkie's father slowly turned toward her, horrified by the sight. Her eyes were in opposite directions of each other, there was blood on her face, and she had a maniacal smile on her face. He tried to scream, but didn't have enough time to before Pinkie swung the hammer against his head.

When Pinkie's father woke up, he found himself in complete darkness. He felt a sharp pain in his head. His hooves and neck were tied down on a hard table, and his mouth was gagged. In the darkness, there was a maniacal laugh, echoing from all around. Suddenly, a dim light from above his head turned on, blinding him for a few seconds. But as he regained his vision, he saw Pinkie standing above him with a hammer. He knew that the hammer was a strong one, because they use them to break rocks in the field. The head of the hammer was solid steel, reinforced using unicorn magic.
"That hammer is strong enough to break bones", he thought to himself. His eyes widened as he realized what Pinkie's plan was. He tried to scream, but the gag prevented that.
"Hush now, father, no one can hear you scream. And no one is coming to help you. Just know that you are about to feel the pain of what I would have felt living on this rock farm for the rest of my life." Pinkie's voice was scratchy, and the dim light reflected the blood on her face. "Now, father, let's have a party!"

Pinkie swung that hammer against her fathers front leg, there was a loud crack of bone. One swing with the hammer had broken his leg. Pinkie's father tried to scream out in pain, but it was muffled by the gag. Pinkie swung again, on the same leg, but a little higher up. *crack* bones shattered. By this time, there was blood coming from Pinkie's father's leg, and there were pieces of bone sticking out in a rugged manner. Pinkie kept swinging the hammer, breaking all of his legs. Each time she hit the hammer on her father's leg, he screamed out her name.
"Pinkie!" *crack* "Pinkie!" *crack* As Pinkie took her last swing, her father screamed at the top of his lungs. *crack* "PINKIE!!!!!" His voice faded into the distance, and everything went black.

Pinkie woke up to find her mother and father shaking her.
"Pinkie? Wake up Pinkie!" Pinkie woke up screaming. Her mother put her hoof on Pinkie's shoulder, and tried to sooth her. "It's ok Pinkie, it's ok", her mother said quietly, "You need to get up you little filly, or you're going to miss your train."
"My, my train?" Pinkie said in a confused voice.
"Your train to PonyVille, you silly filly", Pinkie's father said, "Me and your mother talked last night after you went to bed, and we've decided that we want you to follow your dreams. We are letting you go and stay in PonyVille, since you hate being on the farm so much." Pinkie started to slowly remember the previous night. She and her parents were talking about whether or not to let her go to PonyVille. Her father wasn't really up for it, just because Pinkie is still young. Pinkie was staring into the distance, her mother shook her until she regained order in her mind.
"Pinkie, it's nearly nine, and that's when your train leaves, so you need to get down to the station. Me and your father already packed what you need for your adventure." After her mother spoke, Pinkie did notice that her favourite things from her room where missing. These included her favourite photographs of her and her family, and many other things. Pinkie started to cry,
"Thank you guys sooooo much! You are the best parents ever!" Pinkie screamed with joy.
"Now run along, little filly, go catch your train!" Pinkie's father said.

Pinkie ran out of the door as fast as she could, grabbing her saddle bags and throwing them over her back. The train station was only about two minutes off of the farm, so she ran as fast as she could. As she was running, she could see the train in the distance. As she approached it, she handed the conductor her ticket and hopped on board. After settling herself in her cabin, she opened the window and looked at the farm. She could see her parents waving to her in the distance. She felt tears in her eyes as she waved back to them. As the conductor yelled out "ALL ABOARD!!" for the last time, Pinkie watched the farm get smaller and smaller as the train started off toward the town of PonyVille.
