Rainbow Power, or Rainbow Death?

Dash stood in the middle of town square, completly stunned.

Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh fuck nonononononNONONONO! this can't be happening! Yea, I can't fly faster now, but that's not something to die for! I'm to young to die! I haven't even become a full fledged wonderbolt yet!

she flapped her new huge wings, hating them.

This was the only time in her entire life she wished she was an earth pony.

Her friends all came running up, panting and gasping for air. "Rainbow Dash! " well, all exept Pinkie Pie. "OhmigoshohmigoshohmiGOSH!" She bounced around her friend and tugged dash's wing "your an alicorn princess now?!"

Dash forced a grin "yea! I guess I am!"

"But wait; what's that?" Twilight pointed to Rainbow's necklace "I thought the elements of harmony couldn't be taken back away from the tree of harmony..."

Rainbow Dash had completly forgotten about the necklace "oh yea, when I was near the tree-"

"Why were you near the tree of harmony? You don't usually care about that sort of thing unless it's in immediate danger!" Twilight became concerned.

"Um, yeah, I uh... " she trailed off a bit trying to think of an answer "I figured that a cave probably wouldn't keep the tree very safe so I decided I'd go check up on it once in a while. Y'know, to make sure it stays safe and all."

"So, anyways, I'm checkin' on it and all, I sit down in front of it and some branch grows out and has a flower on it, I touch the flower, it blooms and gives me this, I go somewhere else, I become an alicorn princess."

Twilight levitated the necklace off of rainbow's neck, spinning it around to scan it.

Rainbow felt a tingling sensation on her horn and her wings "what the-"

She turned to her wings and saw they ha fre turned to theyre pegasus form.

She put a hoof on her head to feel for a horn. Nothing was there at all.

"Huh? "

All of her friends gasped "hmm.. This is strange..." Twilight put the necklace back on Rainbow's neck, and her horn and alicorn wings grew back in a flash of bright white light

"So, you can be both an alicorn and a pegasus?" Fluttershy asked in curiosity

"Apparently so... " Twilight cocked her head to the side whilst pacing around rainbow.

Dash didn't have to force a grin now; she now had the power of lying to her mother!

Dash sat on her bed, thinking of the events of that day.

"Wow. I'm an alicorn" she muttered to herself "and I'm not dead!"

She grinned happily as she lay on her back on top of the covers of her bed.

"Hello Dashie."
