Sexty Minute Ponies: Love of Adventure.
The sun rose over Ponyville as the ponies got ready for the annual Running of the Leaves. The pegasi moved the clouds, the unicorns lifted the banners and signs, and the earth ponies cleared the tracks, all in preparation for the event that would take place the very next day.
And not very far away from Ponyville, a pegasus was making it's way to Ponyville. It flew with ease and grace, and quite few loops and twists to be honest. The orange pegasus mare with it's purple mane and tail laughed as it shot through a cloud that another pegasus was moving. "Sorry!" she called back.
"I just don't know what went wrong," the grey, walled eyed pegasus said as it tried to put the cloud back together.
The orange mare landed smoothly on the outskirts of town and began to trot inwards. She smelled familiar scents and heard familiar voices. Then she heard one she'd rather she hadn't. "Well if it isn't the chicken. What are you doing back here Scootaloo?" a pink earth pony wearing a jewelled tiara asked.
"Diamond Tiara, I hadn't noticed you there, how are you doing?" Scootaloo asked with a fake smile, trying to suppress the urge to buck the mare right then and there.
"I'm doing fine," the mare responded with a lift of her snout, "now, if you'll excuse me, I have shopping to get back to."
Scootaloo watched the are leave and breathed a sigh of relief. She had controlled herself better than she thought she would. She was about to begin walking on her way to visit a very special friend when something fell over her eyes... or eye to be exact.
"Guess who!" called a very familiar voice from behind her. Scootaloo smiled as she slipped the eye patch off of her face, turning round to meet the culprit.
"Hey Pipsqueak, how have you been?" she asked with a smile. It had been almost six months since she had last seen her best male friend, and she was about to make up the time, starting with a friendly hug.
"Oh, I've been great," Pipsqueak said as he squeezed her in return, "I heard about what you did in Manehattan. Would you mind explaining what happened there?" he asked as he pulled free, giving her a slight wrinkle of the brow to emphasize his question.
"Oh... that... I don't even know what that was... I think it's best if we leave it alone," Scootaloo said with a slight blush. Pipsqueak nodded and began to walk beside her. They chatted for a good while, catching up on each other during the six month absence.
"...and now Big Mac's got his third foal. I swear, if he and Cheerilee keep this up, they'll have a schoolhouse filled with their own children," Pipsqueak said with a slight laugh. They had walked all the way through town and were now wandering through the grasslands just outside of it.
"Yeah well, at least that's not as shocking as when Sweetie Belle explained to me four months ago that she and Silver Spoon were... items..." Scootaloo said, trying to keep her cheeks from blushing at the thought.
"You should have seen Rarity's face," Pipsqueak responded. They both stopped and then through themselves into fits of laughter.
"Oh man..." Scootaloo said through bursts, "man, this has been fun chatting with you, but I'm in the mood for a different kind of fun."
Pipsqueak looked at her as she gave him a certain kind of stare. "Uhh... what kind of fun?" he asked, slightly scared.
"A race, dummy, before the big event tomorrow. I haven't run that track in years and I'm in the mood for some speed!" she said as she began to pound her hooves against the ground.
"Oh! Okay, yeah, let's have a race. At first I thought you were going to suggest another trip to the Everfree-" he got cut off.
Scootaloo removed her hoof from his mouth. "We would have been fine had it not been for the poison joke. I'm surprised I didn't recognize it when we travelled there." Pipsqueak nodded and stretched his back.
"Well, if it's a race you want..." he began, before bursting into a run right past her, "it's a race you've got!" he yelled as he began to thunder towards the track. He felt the wind rush against his spotted face as he heard another pair of hooves coming up from behind. He turned his head slightly and caught sight of the orange pegasus that had been one of his best friends for years. He smiled as he turned back forward and picked up speed.
They rushed through the entrance to the forest and past quite a few ponies setting up for the race, and causing a unicorn to drop a bucket of paint it was holding. The pale purple unicorn walked over to the pony she had dropped the paint on and smiled with her walled eyes. "I'm sorry, I just don't know what went wrong," she said as she started to wipe the paint off.
Scootaloo gritted her teeth as she tried to catch up to Pipsqueak as they ran through the forest path. Man he runs fast! she thought to herself as she tried to catch up, maybe it was all that adventuring we used to do... we did have to run away from quite a lot of creatures, she thought with a giggle. She watched him round a bend a followed after, only to find the path completely clear.
"Huh?" she blurted as she came to a stop, looking around to try and catch sight of her friend.
"Over here!" she heard him call from a nearby clutch of trees, she turned to see him peeking out from behind a thick tree trunk.
"Oh, you are in for it!" she called as she ran forward, she skidded round the side of the tree and gasped. There, hidden, except when you got close, was a picnic, filled with food. Pipsqueak stood right next to it with a mischievous grin.
"I thought you might race me, so I had got this ready before you arrived, after I heard from Dash when you were arriving," he said as he lifted the top off the basket and held up a lettuce sandwich, "care to join me?" he asked. Scootaloo was about to object when her stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten since the night before, having set out for Ponyville right after she woke up.
The next half-hour passed quietly as both parties ate and drank. What little conversation passed was usually to ask for one or the other to pass some form of food or the other.
"So why did you set this up?" Scootaloo asked after the final piece of fruit had been eaten.
"Well... I..." Pipsqueak said as he tried to find the words. "Ho boy, this is going to be hard to say. Well, Scootaloo... I have a question to ask you."
"What is it?" she asked as she edged closer.
"Well... it's just that... I've always..." he tried to say before he suddenly felt her lips pressing against his. His eyes went wide with surprise before she pulled away. "...I've always liked you..." he finished as she giggled.
"I could kind of tell, especially after that night in Everfree when you cared for the wounds I had on my flank."
"So, are you interested in me?" he asked, his heart beating in anticipation.
"Well, let me see..." she said slowly as she tried to think, before jumping him and pinning him to the ground. "Does this answer your question?" she asked as she kissed him again. Pipsqueak couldn't believe that the mare of his dreams was right there, on top of him, kissing him.
"Now I have a question for you," she said as she broke the kiss. Pipsqueak looked up at her as she gave a wide grin. "Do you want to do it?"
"Do what?" Pipsqueak asked, slightly confused.
"Oh, come on. Do you want me?" she asked.
"Yes."
"Then let's do it," she said as she lent down, resting her muzzle by his ear, "and by it, I mean fuck!"

Pipsqueak, still slightly asleep looked at the cloud with confusion before realizing what it was. "Oh... yeah we should run," he said as he followed after the orange mare deeper into the woods.
