"Who will be going first?" What a question. What a mortally absurd question. Who cared who went first, just so long as we all got to spend a moment with Twilight? This was such a bad situation for all of us. I didn't think that any of us wanted to say goodbye... admit that Twilight was dying. So I raised a shaking but strong hoof. I would do this for the team. I would take the pain of going first. The doctor nodded and opened the steel door to let me in to Twilight's hospital room. I flew in, taking a deep breath as the door clicked shut behind me. My eyes were drawn to a bed in the middle of the room, where an unconscious Twilight lay. The beeping of the heart monitor rang in my ears as I made my way to the bedside. I opened my mouth and began to speak.
"Gee Twi. Where do I start? Its been a real good run. I want to thank you. Before I met you, I didn't know what friendship could do to me. How it would change and effect me. In the play of my life, you've played a pretty big role. I was just an arrogant, stubborn, mare. And though I didn't realize it at the time, I was unhappy. When I met you, you opened me up to so much. To joy, responsibility, to true passion, to so much more. And I really will never be able to thank you enough Twilight. You really are my best friend, and though I never thought I would admit it... you're awesome. Much more so then me. I know I can't bring you back Twilight, though if I could, I would in a heartbeat. If I could give my life to you, I would. But.. I can't. I hope you know that I love you Twilight. Stay cool kid." And with that, I squeezed Twilight's half lifeless hoof one last time and walked out of the room, tears of anger, regret, and sadness dripping down my cheeks.

"Why shucks, I suppose I'll go next then." I gave Rainbow a quick hug, then slowly walked in to the room, my feet dragging as if they were made of stone. The second I saw Twilight, I ran over to her and nuzzled her cheek, tears spilling down my face. "Twilight! Why'd ya have to go and do this? I know its not your fault, but... Twi,, I need to confess something. Before you go. You were the first friend ah ever had Twilight. You gave me something that I could never replace: A feeling of being loved by someone other then family. Aww shucks Twilight. Ye know what? You are my family. You've been there for me. You trusted me and I trusted you. We were as much family as family can get. I love you Twilight. I'll miss you as long as my hooves rest on earth." I took my muzzle away from her cheek and walked out of the room sullenly, like a statue with a crack in it.

I saw how sad Applejack looked as she walked outside. She looked terrible! Part of me didn't want to go in, ever. But the other part of me tugged me towards the hospital bedroom. So I wordlessly bounced into the dreary room, throwing some confetti into the air and smiling halfheartedly. The second I saw Twilight's state my hair went flat. My eyes watered as I placed a hoof on her chest.
"Oh Twilight, you silly pony. Why did you have to get hurt? If you had never gotten hurt, you would still be here, and if you were still here, we wouldn't all be so sad right now... I don't want you to leave Twilight. Please stay..... I know that you can't. But I still hope that you know I will party twice as hard for you! I will never ever EVER forget you Twilight... I love you." I bounced out of the room, sobbing.

I tossed my head into the air and, sniffing a bit, walked into the room as Pinkie bounced out. It was my time to say goodbye. Make my five minutes count. I sat by Twilight's side and placed my head on the edge of her bed, sighing.
"Can you hear me Twilight? I hope you can. Somehow I know you can. You've always heard. I love you so very much Twilight. You are such an inspiration! You would always keep going, going, going no matter what. You have shown me what it is to have a true friend Twilight. I hope you find peace up there... I miss you already. You're absolutely fabulous my darling." And with that, I placed a silver rose in her hair gently and exited the room with grace.

I nodded nervously as Rarity walked out. I didn't want to go in, but I had to be brave. This was my last chance to say goodbye. I walked in quietly with a lowered head and gently walked up to Twilight's bed.
"Oh dear Twilight... I wish I could have been there when the attack hit. I mean, I wouldn't have been brave enough to do anything, but at least I could have warned you to duck... Twilight, I don't know what I'll do without you.... I love you so much Twilight. Thank you for everything." I pricked my ears as the rest of my friends walked in, with Spike sitting on Applejack's back. I comfortingly scooped Spike up in my hooves, seeing that the little guy was crying. Spike sat upright and looked at Twilight.
"Twilight! Please don't do this... I love you Twilight! I need you! Please don't go..." Spike said, choking. I lowered spike to Twilight's side and he placed a claw on her hoof before letting go and hugging me with a sob. But then, we heard a voice.
"Thank you..." Twilight murmured, a smile on her face. Then the heart monitor went blank.
