//-------------------------------------------------------// Luna's Flashback of emotions -by LunasFizzle155- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Part 1 Luna’s Neverending Dream "Luna, did you get the curtains for the windows I asked for?"     "No, I'm sorry sis, I'll get them right now."     Luna had been pondering all day about what she would wear for the wedding of two ponies that moved to Canterlot yesterday. They seemed like a good couple, and they enjoyed each other's company immensely. Luna had always thought to herself about if she would ever meet the right mate someday. Although she knew it would be difficult for her to have a relationship with someone since she has to take care of the empire with Celestia, she thought it could be possible. She didn't want to marry other royalty. She wanted a regular, peaceful relationship. But sadly, as each day went on, she grew less intent toward the idea. She thought she would never meet anyone that would want to be in a relationship with someone who tried to entrap the world of Equestria in eternal night. But even with the hopes diminishing, she still had not despaired completely.                                         The wedding would occur in a couple hours. Luna had finally decided on the dress. It had been designed by some famous fashion designer for weddings in Prance. She had still been pondering though. Who knew if she would ever meet the right pony. After a few minutes in her room, Celestia knocked on her door. "Are you ready? The wedding is about to start. You know I can go by myself if you want. I know you've had something on your mind all day. I can tell the guests that you're sick or have something to take care of. Do you want me to announce it?" "Yeah, I've got something to think about. I'm sorry about not coming on such short notice. Tell them I had to visit another country on royal duties." "Ok, I'll tell them." "Oh... and Celestia.... Can you leave me lone for a while. I kind of just want to be by myself." "Sure, I understand. Bye Luna."         With that she was gone. She closed and locked the door. She even told the guards to stay away from her room. This was unusual of Celestia. She was usually very protective of her young sister and never, never, never wanted anyone to have the chance to attack her. But since she thought she needed to be alone, and deprived of all other noises of the world, she decided to let this one go. The guards left the area, and Luna was all alone. Luna had been alone for the past 3 hours now. Although her sister originally didn’t want any noise to bother her, the wedding party music and shouts of delight were reaching Luna’s chambers. Luna got up from her bed, shut the window, and tried to fall asleep. Before she drifted off though, she could have sworn she heard a familiar voice that she could not identify. It sounded as if someone talked slowly in her ear. With that, she knew she needed the rest.     Luna finally drifted off to sleep. She started dreaming about old things that occurred before she became Nightmare Moon. She hadn’t realized it at first, but she had drifted into a flashback within her dream.     She was alone at first, but was relieved of it when a few crystal ponies appeared. They were in high class dresses and suits, drinking wine, and chatting with others. Luna walked up to one and they all got quiet. She wondered, “What’s wrong?” But she couldn’t get the words to unchoke themselves from her voice. She just stared at them all as they stared back. Their looks were of hatred and they snarled at her if she lended out a hoof shake. When she finally blurted out,”Why are you all snubbing your royal princess of the night!,” all the ponies left. They just vanished, almost as if they had disappeared in a magic trick. All of them, except for one stallion.     Luna observed the stallion and asked,”What is your name?” The stallion replied,”Your questions mean not what you are thinking of, for the reality of this is your thinking,’Why did he stay unlike the rest?’.” “Ok, you got me, I was thinking that.” “Then tell me the truth of what you seek.” “I seek answers to as why I am here in one of the olden time parties of canterlot. Why did all the crystal ponies wave me away and make nasty comments about me?” “They have deep hatred for you, but don’t throw any attacks at you because you are too much of an important pony.” “But why do they-.” “They hate you for what you did in the battle against Sombra.” “I didn’t do anything deceitful that I can remember. Tell me what I did.” “It is not what you did, but what they were told and think which is a lie.” “What do they think I did?” “They think that you betrayed your elder sister Celestia while in battle. Supposedly you had tried seducing Sombra into ruling with you and no longer with Celestia. Luckily for your sake, Sombra broke out of the seduced trance you almost successfully put him in. One pony knows of the source but I only know who knows.” “Well, who is it? I want to know why they told whatever they think I did.” “In time I will let you know of the source. You don’t need to know of the pony who knows of the source, for they are dead already. But the source is still alive.” “WHO IS THE SOURCE?! I need to know!” “In time you will know.” The stallion disappears. Luna is alone at the party that disappears in a matter of seconds. She is floating in a space filled with nothing but air. After a few moments she is taken by a floating cloud to the next area. She has no idea where she is until she finally steps into the room. She vaguely recognizes it, but when she fully comprehends where she is, she is shocked and awed. “Why I am here! It brings back nothing but pain and suffering…..” The mysterious stallion reappears and starts talking. “We are here to revisit a time of evil forces dwelling upon a single mare and growing inside her for several years until it controls the mare completely and destroys love with its words and power.” “This is the place where I detested my sister as Nightmare Moon, isn’t it!?!! This brings back nothing but pain and awful memories.” Luna sobs, followed by a soft pat on the back by the stallion. “Yes, this is the sight of evil forces at work. They took over and controlled your body with brute force. It destroyed your relations with many friends until it finally reached your sister.” “I remember it somewhat now, back at our old castle in the everfree forest.” “I wish to show you this so that you may remember the battle that had been lost for you and how your sister had cried the moment she banished you to the moon. She wept over you for countless nights until finally she had been able to hold it in. You will see in some time not too far away from now why I showed you this.” “Wait, I want to know your name.” “This I know is truth that you are asking. I am known as a dead stallion of royalty that died many years ago. But if you must know the name of my being, it is Dream Weaver. Although I suggest you call me Weaver though.” “Ok, but I wonder, why does your name sound familiar?” “We will discuss this in the end of the revelation.” “Wait, this is a revelation?” “Whatever thou must call it, it will show you how to come back to reality. That is, if you ever want to get out of this dream of pain and suffering for you.” Luna stared at the Stallion in disbelief. "Am I really stuck in here, in this place of horrors. I need to get out if this the case." Weaver stared back at her. "You will, until you can see the ending, the wrongs of your past." "Why would I need this. I already like the way I'm living now and Celestia has accepted my deep excessive apologies." "Yes, but if you want the thoughts of knowing that you are completely reformed, and your past is COMPLETELY different from your true self now, you must see the errors of your ways. And, there is another thing. If you want to see your true love-" "Wait, wait, wait, I never had a true love." "Yes, you did. The process of becoming Nightmare Moon turned all your happy and good memories into evil thoughts and erased all of the memories." "Oh my goodness, I don't remember a thing now that you mention it." "See, it is true. Now, if you let me finish.... Your true love, Night Match, died unhappy knowing you hated everyone back then. So when he died, he died in vain. Although he died of a sickness written in history, he really died of a plague which you placed upon him when you hated every pony. So, would you like to fix that. If you do, your true love most likely won't die in vain. All you must do is see the errors of your ways." "Ok, I'd like to see what he looks like first though. If I can just see what he looked like, I might feel happier." "As you wish." Dream weaver brought up an image that turned into a flashback of Night match. He had a brown and dark purple mane, curly hair but not too curly, strong wings, and a dark navy blue coat just a hint lighter than Luna's. He was almost as tall as her too. He worked in the Royal guard for Celestia, but truly loved Luna. Whenever Luna was in any form of danger, from a glass dropping to an assassin attempt, Night Match would drop whatever he had and gallop to her as fast as he could. Back in the flashback, he was smiling and looking at Luna. They were playing and dancing together. They even took times off from work or royal duties just to take some walks. They would chat about their days and how they feel around each other. Luna told him about the thoughts she had against the ponies who don't enjoy her beautiful night. But, Night match told her,"Well, some ponies aren't meant to enjoy the night. Maybe they were meant to enjoy the day." She thinks about this for a little while. Then Night Match breaks the silence with a nice compliment. "Isn't it wonderful tonight Luna? You did an amazing job with the stars tonight." "Oh, it's nothing.I just do what I always do for every night" "And that's why you’re so special." Luna blushes and they both gaze at the stars for a moment. Luna breaks the silence. "I'm still mad that most don't enjoy my night by sharing anything they do." "Well, you can see their dreams right? Tell me, what do you experience from that." "Many dreams are beautiful and many dreams are very odd. There are very romantic ones that tell a true love that can start an uprising that will soon blossom into something wonderful that expands beyond the cosmos...... Do you dream Night Match?" "Well, you should know Luna, since you watch our great dreams." "I don't watch yours because I feel as if it would be invading the privacy of someone I know dearly." "Well, anyway, yes I do dream. All the time really. But it's always the same." "Please do tell what you dream about all the time." "I dream about how we met, at the grand galloping gala. And how it rose from there. Then I dream about my favorite moment of bliss. When we are together. I dream of how we should leave all our royal work and jobs behind and go live somewhere off in the countryside somewhere. So we can't be found. Where we would live the rest of our lives with each other and each night drift off into a beautiful slumber into our dreams at the same. And with the help of your powers we can control when we wake up if we so choose to and stare into each others eyes wondering, what is he/she thinking of right now?" "Night Match.... I... don't know.... how to.... explain what to think or do after what you just said..." The flashback ends and Luna wonders about how she could possibly forget a memory like that. Dream Weaver looks at Luna and brings out his hoof. “I know what you’re thinking right now. I’ll tell you this. The answer is because after you turned into nightmare moon you lost all memories before you turned evil. The ‘mysterious power’ or force you say that took over your body was called the miasma which tries to control any pony that has envy or state of revenge within themselves. Before it left your body it wiped out all memories. So, with that said, let’s move on. Ok?” “Ok, thank you for explaining.” “You’re welcome. Now I want you to look at the lifestyles of the ponies after you were banished to the moon by celestia.” Luna looks into the flashback Weaver brings up. It shows the ponies struggling with their lifestyle. Luna watches in horror as she watches a family of three walk home with a single slice of bread that must be shared between all three of them. She almost breaks out a sob but refuses to. She does not want to cry anymore. She already had to go through seeing her battle with Celestia and watching an old memory of her true love. But after a couple of minutes of watching the ponies go home without warmth and some without even homes or  food, she sobs. She can’t hold it back. She asks Weaver,”Why?! Why?! Why must these ponies live in such poverty Weaver. It’s not fair for these ponies while the great capital Canterlot is in great conditions!” Weaver explains to the sobbing Princess,”They are living in such poverty because when you left there was only half of the magic to be spread across all of equestria. Celestia did her best to provide the resources but only one princess can do so much Luna. I’m sorry you had to see that but it will add up to the conclusion and ending of this dream.” “Ok, I understand their hardships now. They had to endure the hardships because I couldn't control myself when the miasma attacked me.” “You could, but it was very hard to resist it’s power. So Luna, do not worry. That was not your fault. There was almost nothing you could do and you were a very young princess at the time anyway. I just needed you to see the hardships your country had to endure when you left.” “Ok, I think I’m starting to see why I am having this dream.” "That’s good. It will make the conclusion easier to understand for you. It would have been harder for you to understand if you didn’t understand at least a little bit of it. It’s like a murder mystery book. It’s not good unless the reader can make some kind of conclusion before the end. Now are you ready for the next error of your ways to be fixed?" Luna replies,”I think I’m ready for it.”
