I awake to a small robot shaped like a star. A headache hit me hard than a Spike Grenade. "Good, you're awake." There was a distant roar. "We have to move, come on!" He disappears. "Don't worry I'm still with you."
A head pops out from behind a car and gives a terrifying roar. I begin running towards a old abandoned mining building as bullets wizzed past my head. It was dark, really dark.
"I'll try to find some light. Oh, and by the way, I'm a ghost...well your ghost." He flies off, I could only see the illumination of his light. Everything suddenly lights up. "Ah...there we go. Now...a weapon..."
Suddenly, a Shrike comes from above me and I look up just in time to see a Alien land on top of me. It tries stabbing me but I quickly dodge his strikes.
It screams and falls on top of me, fully limp. My ghost appeared behind it. "Come on! We have to find you a weapon." He floats around the corner. I pick up his knife and continue along.
We soon find the exit. I see a rifle leaning along the wall. I reach for it and feel a gun against my head. A gruff voice says, "Don't even think about it." I don't move. He takes my knife and throws behind him. "On your knees, now." I do as he says. "Mmm...such a nice body...for a pony..." He says into my ear, groping me.
I grab his wrist, twisting it. I stand and punch him in the face, breaking his nose. Quickly grabbing the rife, I aim it at him. It's a very odd creature, definitely not a pony.
"Give me one reason I shouldn't end you right now, pervert!" I shout at him.
"Ahh...you phucken bithc..." He attempts to say.
"Wrong answer." I say pulling the trigger spraying his brains all over the floor.
"Mhmm...right well let's keep going...Hmm...the Shengen-C a very good choice." My ghost approved. We walk outside to see a giant ship flying over. "Fallen ships this close to the surface?!" My ghosts says in surprise.
"We have to move, now!" My ghost scans around. "Uh-oh...get ready!" Two black holes open with ships flying out dropping soliders.
I'm surrounded..."Welp...we doomed..." My ghost sighs. There are at least 500 of the odd aliens.
I feel a sudden wave of energy surge through me.
I grab my knife. "It won't matter you idiot! I knew I should have chosen someone else" My Ghost protests. I give him a angry look.
I rush to a soldier and slice his head off. The rest is a blur, but when I regain my senses I look around to see all the soldiers on the ground, most be-headed. A another ship descending, but this time it drops ponies. I don't hear what they shout as they grab me I pass out.
I awake in a soft bed various people talking over me. I try to sit up but my body is too fatigued so it comes out as a grunt.
All heads turn to me. "Ah...you're alive...good." A man in white armor says.
"Where am I..." I ask my head absolutely splitting with pain. "And uh...ow goddess dammit my head!"
One of the doctors pushes a button on a machine and a liquid goes into my arm through the IV. Instantly I feel better. "Ahh~ so much better...." I say struggling to sit up. One of the men helps me up. He's has black hair and pinkish fur.
He clears his throat. "You are on planet Gia, in the Tower. We do not mean you any harm, miss."
I look around to see a LOT of guys with big guns. "Uh...sure you don't...it's Snow by the way." Bullshit he didn't mean any harm. One guy has a fucking Rocket Launcher! What the hell?!
I see a apple on a nearby table I reach for it and everyone aims there guns at me. I freeze. How did I not notice the gun....why is there a gun there anyway? The man takes the gun and I grab the apple. I twist my helmet and slide it off. I bite into the apple...juicy!
"Anyway...we need your help Gaurdian." The man says "Oh and by the way my name is Arach Jalaal." What an odd name... " I realize that is very odd for you...coming into a new world that is..." He looks at my ghost. "...If you don't intend no harm then you are allowed to stay at the tower...so long as you help us fight the Darkness...Your ghost will explain."
Most of them leave, but one stays back another hunter a blue...robot? Well that's new. "I'm watching you..." She says disappearing.
I look at my ghost. He gives, as far as I can tell, a shrug.
"What year is it?" I ask continuing to munch on the apple.
"The current year is 2075." He says nonchalantly.
I almost choke. " How long!? When did I die?" I ask.
"2025...Are you okay?" He asks scanning me. "Wait...you're only 18?" He asks surprised.
"Not anymore now i'm 68!" I almost laugh. I grin. Suck it death!
He laughs. "Yes well...let's get down to business..." He puts on a serious tone. "...The darkness is...well evil and I don't mean just bad I mean it's evil itself! It can and will corrupt anything it touches. Only can the light from the Traveler save us..." He flies to a nearby window and looks out a giant large floating damaged sphere. "...I could tell you of the great war...of how the Traveler used the last of it's defences to save the equine race...But I will not...those days are behind us...we must look forward and protect our savior.The citizens used to tell stories of the darkness to frighten little children...But now those tales have stopped, but the children are still scared. The Darkness is coming back...We will not survive it this time...This is why the traveler awoke you, Snow. You were...special for some reason...I can't tell why though..."
I put my helmet back on and ask, "But what about me killing all those soldiers I decapitated?"
"Oh that? That is a typical skill for a Hunter, it's called Blade Dancer."
I sigh "Well...I bet we have a lot of work to do, right?"
He replies, "Oh yea...Lots of work. Oh and your new ship is the hanger. You'll need it to get from planet to planet."
"Okay so were are we heading?" I ask my ghost.
"The moon. We must find the sword of Corta and destroy it." He replies, "We gave up the moon hoping it would keep them at bay...it didn't..."
I give him a "Fucking really?" look. "Wait...so they gave the moon, the closest possible place to Gia, to the enemy hoping they would not fight you?" I Laugh.
"Well...yes I know it seems stupid but-" I cut him off.
"It 'seems' stupid?" I say laugh harder. "It is stupid...in fact it was the worst possible choice anyone could have made!"
"Well...we're almost there..." He sighs.
"Ya know I never got your name." I say looking at the stars.
"Hmm...well Ghosts don't have names. But if you need to call me somthing I guess you can call me Bot." He say's perking up.
I give him another look. "Really? Bot, is that the best you can come up with?"
He scoffs "Oh? Can you think of something better?"
I raise my hands defensively. "Look man if that's what you wanna be call okay...just thought you might want a cooler name. Maybe Death machine?"
He sighs "We'll talk about this later...we're here."
We land. I look around at all the abandoned space facilities...I see a few skeletons in suits face masks shattered. Seeing them laying there brings back a odd memory of a skeleton is a space suit saying "Hey who turned out the lights." I shake the odd memory away.
I use a vehicle called a Sparrow and head to the Northeast from the dead. We soon come up to a very large door chained shut.
"Look! Up ahead Guardian down!" Bot points out.
He scans him. "Nothing...not even the light...what happened to him? Where is his ghost?" He sounds worried.
It feels like something is watching me...I turn around to see the strange robot staring at me. I hear the clank of chains and turn around to see the doors chains almost disintegrating. I look back to see the robot is gone.
"Uh-oh...this doesn't look good...Get ready!" Bot disappears. "We've awoken the Hive!"
I ready my gun. The door opens up to let out a wave of terrifying...things...they should have probably briefed me on these things...They have plate like armor and sharp claws. Some of the same kind, but is red, come out and begin shooting at me. I take cover as a, what it seems like, missile hits the rock I hid behind. The white aliens rush up to me and slice my chest and face. I expect to be suffocating but...i'm not...what am I? I stab one in the head and grab his arm and rip it off, I use it to stab one through the face killing it and the one behind it. I shot two more in the head and look around to find more. More plasma bullets wiz past me. I stand quickly and shoot two of the red ones in the head. A odd red aura appears around the big one he charges at me and swings at me. I barely miss it by sliding under him stabbing him in the back. He grabs me and slams me into the ground. I don't move and pretend to be dead.
"Worthless..." He says with a gruff voice. He raises his foot to stomp me. I doge his foot and stab him in the throat. He falls over crushing his remaining troops... the was a oddly satisfying scrunching sound the made me smile and shudder.
"Hmm...you're not gonna like this but...the sword is deep below...I can only track it from the light of the Guardians it's killed..." Bot says scanning the area.
I sigh. "Well...Nopony said it was gonna be easily..." We walk into the shrine and look around. There are various symbols written on the wall.
We head down surprising no resistance as we went on. I see the sword on a rack in the middle of the room. "Oh yea...this is definitely not a trap..." I say sarcastically.
I walk over and grab the sword...The feeling returns...I look down to see a light red aura around my legs...A sudden white light blinds me. I rub my eyes just in time to see a white alien stabbing at my face. I dodge it and slice it in half. I look up to see a group of large red aliens with big sword. I look at my own, it's like a small buster sword that I can fit in one hand.
I grin at them and they ready there swords. I teleport behind them and kill two with one slice. Their blood sprays over my mask...and I love it. I look at the two surprised ones and laugh as they begin backing away. I slowly walk towards them. The back up faster. Soon they hit the wall. I creep closer until i'm face to face with with it. I slowly drive my sword in it's shoulder and twist as I go deeper...When I fully stab through, I jerk to the and cut off his arm...For some reason I can't help but love it...The other one attempts to hit me but I parry his attack and stab him through the chest.
"S-snow were here to destroy the sword...not to use it." My ghost says firmly.
I give him a twisted smile. "Oh really? Who made that plan? Was it the same idiot who gave up the moon to the enemies? Oh yea lets destroy this powerful sword and stay matched....No I think i'm gonna keep it...it's about time we gain the upper hand and win this pointless war!" I punctuate the end by stabbing the alien in the head. It makes a oddly satisfying crunching sound.
"Snow...we must destroy it...it's consumed in darkness!" Bot says worriedly.
I look at him smile fading. "Think about it...it's consumed with the darkness...the most powerful force ever...and you want to destroy it? Fine we can...after we win this war is over." I say firmly walking to the exit.
"I know i'm gonna regret this..." He sighs. He shoot a electrical pulse at me hitting my back causing me to scream and fall on the floor. "I'm sorry snow...I can't let you take this out of this place." He scans the sword and says. "This is for the best..."
"You...bastard..." I slowly crawl toward him.
"No use trying Snow...I'm almost done..." He scans faster.
I use the rest of my energy and grab him and throw him across the room. I grab the sword and slowly walk to him. "You think this will make me crazy...don't you...you think the darkness will corrupt me...but if their is something you should know about me is that...hehe...i'm already consumed in the darkness...the memory came to me when you shocked me...in fact I remember you...you getting me killed! And what do you do with my body?! Bury it? No! You dump it on Gia's car graveyard!" I raise the sword above him. "Now it's your turn!" He disappears as I thrust the sword down. "Oh no you don't I know this trick." I take my glove off and rip off a piece of metal in my palm. He reappears in my hand. I grin.
"S-snow you wouldn't!" He yells nervously.
"Oh really?" I throw him on the ground and stab the sword in his eye killing him. "Karma's a bitch..." I say looking back at him as I leave and return to the surface. "Now...where did I park?" I look around and see my ship returning to the surface. I climb in and fly to orbit. "Well...now what?" I look out the window to see mars in the distance. It's very hard to see, it's a small speck in the distance. I decide to fly to mars and see if I can find anything to help me end this war. I glance at the sword and grin. "Time to kick some ass." I active the thrusters and rocket off to the red planet.
