She was standing in a high tree branch looking down over a big cave: a single timber wolf was sitting outside of the den. His shining green eyes looked toward the woods watching for intruders. Soon he lifted his head and sniffed the air. With luck on Rainbow’s side, the wind was blowing toward her so the timber wolf couldn't smell her scent. She pushed her goggles onto her head and sat down, never taking her eyes off the wolf, She sat still for at least two hours and finally the timber wolf got up and went back into the cave. Soon a huge wolf came out. It was the Alpha who had a decent price on his head for killing a couple of villagers in the nearby village.  “Got you now” Rainbow smiled and quietly stood up and stretched. Silently, she flew away a good distance from the cave to a opening.  After all she didn’t want the rest of the pack interfering. With a smile on her face, she took a couple steps to the left and hovered over the ground with her hoofs crossed over her chest. She started to flap her wings hard to make sure her scent reaches the Alpha. Back at the den, the Alpha had his head on his paws staring dully at the woods with his bright blue eyes half closed. He yawned and closed his eyes set on taking a nap. A sweet smell like fresh rain, and another smell he knew all too well flittered through the air, It was the scent of a pony, and in a instant his eyes snapped open and he lifted his head looking toward the direction of the scent.  The Alpha stood up and started to run toward the sweet scent. Rainbow was still flapping her wings but stopped once the crickets stopped their chirping and the woods went quiet. She quickly grabbed and unsheathed the swords at her sides and stood ready for the fight. Within seconds, she saw a brightly glowing pair of blue eyes just watching her. She stood her ground. Soon the huge Timber wolf came out of hiding, licked his muzzle and let out a deep low growl. They both began to circle each other daring the other to make the first move; their eyes never left each other. On the tenth circle the Alpha stopped and lowered himself to the ground and took off dashing toward Rainbow, Rainbow jumped into the air with both swords at the ready and flew forward dogging the Alpha’s charge and slicing half way through his back right paw. The Alpha yelped in both pain and surprise. He lifted his paw and stood watching Rainbow planning his next move. Rainbow took this chance and flew fast around the Alpha and completely cut off the injured paw and started hacking at the left front. Through the pain he studied her movements and waited for the perfect moment to attack. Soon that moment came:  Rainbow slowed down to make the final cut and the Alpha lifted his front paw and aimed it perfectly in the area where Rainbow was heading, Rainbow tried to dodge the claw but missed. The claw hit her in the chest and left a deep gash that went to her shoulder.  She went flying and smacked her back into a tree knocking the air out of her. Rainbow Dash was lying against the ground trying to catch her breath and writhing in pain holding onto her injured shoulder, “I’LL -gasp KILL YOU!!!" Rainbow screamed as loud as she could .The Alpha jumped toward Rainbow Dash and pinned her down with one paw and pierced her right shoulder with the tip of a claw, Rainbow screamed in agony and glared at the Alpha. The Alpha slowly brought his muzzle down close to her throat to finish her off but like hell she was going to let that happen, Rainbow felt his sickly hot breath. She wanted to puke. She turned her head away from his muzzle and with a free wing she grabbed a nearby sword and threw it perfectly into his right eye. The Alpha reared up and backed away shaking his head trying to dislodge the sword, Rainbow quickly got up and moved away. Once far enough away, she allowed the adrenalin to take over and grabbed her other sword that was little way off. The Alpha was still trying to get the other sword out of his eye. Rainbow launched herself and flew toward the Alpha’s neck. At the last second she swerved to the left; a deep long gash in his throat was left.  He barely had time to register what happen before he fell to the ground gasping, trying to breath. Rainbow landed and sheaved her sword. Slowly she walked over to the Alpha and watched as the life left his eyes, and grabbed and her sword and ripped it out of his eye. Soon he began to disintegrate. In two minutes all that was left of the alpha was two blue sparkling gems and one with a black line in the middle. They were same color as his eyes. Rainbow picked the gems up and put them in a pouch on her belt. In the distance she heard the howls of the other timber wolves.  "Shit.” Rainbow Dash cringed as pain overwhelmed her and fell to her knees clutching her blood soaked arm.   I can’t stay here; the rest of the pack must have caught scent of my blood and are probably on their way right now. Rainbow slowly stood up still clutching her arm and flew up in the air to try to spot any villages or houses. As she flew high above the trees she soon saw a field of smaller trees and what looked like a red building “That’ll do." She took of flying toward the building. Darkness was taking over as she looked down at her shirt. It was shredded and it was sticky with blood. She tried her best to stay conscious and flew a little faster. After what felt like hours of flying, she finally reached her destination it looked like an apple orchard and saw that the red building was a barn with a little house next to it. She flew toward it then crashed into the ground. Once she picked herself up, she slowly. Unsteadily she walked up to the house and letting go of her injured arm she pounded on the door with her good hoof. She felt herself shaking and she could barely stand or see and soon the door opened she saw a red blob. "Please help me," she whispered painfully and with that she fell forward and felt herself being caught before she lost conciseness. She was overcome with the scent of apples and spice as she passed out. Thump, Thump, Thump- Applejack jerked awake as she heard the pounding on the front door. She started to get out of bed but she heard hoof steps heading down the stairs. Sounds like big Mac getting the door, Applejack smiled and slid back into her warm bed and started to drift back to sleep. "APPLEJACK!" Applejack’s eyes shot open and she jumped out of her bed and ran down stairs, "What’s wrong Big Mac?" she slid to a halt. She covered her mouth with her hoofs and gasped at the scene in front of her. Big Mac was carrying a small mare. Her back was toward Applejack and big Mac’s red coat was a darker shade on his chest. Big Mac had a scared and worried look on his face. Applejack quickly recovered “alright Big Mac take her to the guest room and wake Granny Smith up.  I'll get the bandages and water. Now go, and be careful with her. "Big Mac nodded and looked down at the mare and his hoofs and quickly started up the stairs. Applejack headed to the kitchen and got the bandages out of a cabinet and also got a bucket of warm water and a washcloth. She ran up the stairs and walked into the open guest room. Big Mac was sitting by the bed and stood up when Applejack came in and then went to wake Granny up. After Big Mac walked out Applejack shut the door behind him and went back to their mystery guest. She looked over the strange cyan mare. The mare had a strange mane color, it was a radiant rainbow. Her mane and tail were pretty long and her bangs covered her left eye. She was a pretty tiny mare but she looked very fast and her wings were a good size and muscular. She had on a pair of blue goggles pushed up upon her head and a long matching scarf. She had a black shirt with the sleeves down to her elbows and was long on the sides but sliced in the middle so her flat stomach was showing. The shirt was covered in blood and was shredded in the chest area and had holes near her right shoulder. She had on a pair of white shorts which were now stained with dirt and blood. She also had on long black socks. Applejack carefully took of the mare's shirt and tossed it to the side. Then he dipped the washcloth in the water and began to clean the mare's wounds and clean up most of the blood on her coat. Once she was satisfied she covered the mare with a blanket and opened the door to find Big Mac and Granny standing in the hall.  “Granny ah think ya should look at her chest she might need ta get stitches." Granny Smith nodded and walked into the room. Applejack shut the door behind her and turned to her Granny. After a few minutes of looking over the mare, Granny finally spoke “Ah'm honestly surprised she's still alive. By the claw marks it looks like she got into a fight with a timber wolf and by the size of the marks it was a huge one. She'll need stiches. Applejack be a dear and get me ma needles and string." Applejack nodded and walked out of the room and quietly shut the door and headed toward Granny's room. "sis what's going on?." Applejack jumped startled by her little sister Apple bloom. She sighed and put a hoof on Apple bloom's head and ruffled her bed mane a bit. "just helping a hurt mare." Apple bloom looked at her with wide eyes. " will she be alright?" Apple jack gave her little sister a weak smile " ah think so apple bloom. don't ya worry go back to bed and ah'm sure ya'll get to meet her tomorrow. " Then she pushed her little sister into her room and shut the door and went into Granny's room and found her needles and yarn. Applejack hurried down the hall and went into the guest room gave Granny the needle and yarn and left the room to let Granny Smith work. She sat down next to big Mac and sighed, Big Mac gave her a sideways glance and put his hooves around her a gave her a hug " it'll be ok Applejack.". She put her hooves around him and gave him a squeeze " ah hope so big Mac, ah hope so." a half an hour passed before Granny left the room.  Applejack stood up and looked at Granny "well?" Granny looked at both of her grandchildren and smiled "She should be fine, but ah think she should stay here till she recovers." Both Applejack and Big Mac gave a sigh of relief, Granny began to walk down the hall way but stopped and looked back at Applejack."by the way Applejack would you please get her clothes lend her a pair of yours, ah'm going to wash and fix them up for her." Applejack smiled and nodded " of course Granny." Granny Smith smiled and went into her room." Big Mac could ya please go get some clothes out of ma room while I get her clothes." Big Mac nodded and headed toward Applejack's room he opened the door and went straight to the dresser, Hmm everything in here looks a bit to big for her. Finally Mac found Applejacks old blue tank top and a old pair of black shorts, deciding that it would fit her well enough he headed back to the guest room and knocked on the door "Come in!" Big Mac opened the door and found Applejack had just finished putting on the bandages on the mare's chest and was putting some on her shoulder." ah got ya the clothes Applejack." he said as he was placing them on the end of the bed. Big Mac moved to leave but stopped once Applejack started to chuckle, he looked back at her and saw her tossing two gems up into the air, she threw one to him he caught it and looked it over. It was a beautiful blue and had a black line in the middle. "Ah can’t believe that she killed that son of a bitch by herself. Here put these on the dresser." she tossed a big bag of bits and the other gem to him, he put them next two her swords and left the room and went back to his room. Once he got to his room he turned off the lights and layed down, turned over and looked at the clock 5:35 am and stayed still letting the days events go through his head and slowly fell asleep.
