Fleur looked anxiously at Fancy Pants. "Are you sure Rarity will let you stay with her on such a short notice?" She said worriedly.
"I'm sure she's fine with it, dear." Fancy Pants chuckled. "It is very important business, after all. Besides, I could just let her help me and bam, she famous all over Equestria!"
"She's the Element of Generosity. She's already famous." Fleur pointed out. He sighed.
"Famous in the fashion industry?" He tried. Fleur have a weak smile.
"At least if you spend some time with another mare those ridiculous rumours will dissipate."
"You did start them, Fleur. With all that posing and hugging and, er, stuff." Fleur bit her lip.
"I'm sorry. It's just... I wasn't thinking right. I- I thought if people thought I was going out with the most famous stallion in Canterlot, I would be treated with more respect. But that bit was your fault. Just because I'm your model, it doesn't mean you can sign me up to work with Coltplay! I don't care how good a deal you got!" She had taken an angry tone. Fancy Pants frowned.
"Let's not argue. This is a happy occasion. We can see the castle that, well, grew in Ponyville! Maybe even meet Princess Twilight Sparkle!"
"How do you think we could do that?" Fleur said. She wasn't in the best of moods right now. She never was after the Coltplay issue had been brought up. Fancy Pants rolled his eyes.
"Well, Rarity is one of her best friends. Surely she would want is to meet her."
"What else could we do there? What could I do?"
"You could, um..." He drifted off, unsure of what to say. "Help Rarity?" He offered.
"I model. I can't design. Surely you would now that by now?"
"You could model for her?" Fancy Pants sighed. He hated it when Fleur was in a bad mood.
"Oh, stop being so miserable! We're going to see Rarity again! Maybe I'll even work up the courage- wait, forget that last part!" He cringed, failing miserably at covering his words.
"Work up the courage to what?" She pressed, grinning. "Do you like her?" She starting chanting: "Fancy Pants and Rarity, up a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
"Stop being such an idiot, Fleur! Somepony might hear you! Besides, I would never like Rarity! I would rather kiss Jet Set than date her!" He lied. He was a good liar, but it was hopeless. Fleur always knew.
"You're an awful liar."
"Fine! M-" He was about to continue when he heard a voice.
"Fancy Pants!" Rarity called. He looked round to see a beaten and exhausted mare galloping at full speed towards them. "Help!" She cried.
Fancy Pants was by her side in an instant. "What happened?" He fretted. "Are you hurt?"
"No." Rarity said. "No, I'm happy right now. Very happy indeed." Fancy Pants wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or if she actually meant it.
"Why?" He asked uncertainly.
She smiled. "Because I'm serving royalty." And they both disappeared into the night.
