Solar Sovereignty
Epilogue
Previous ChapterSpike yawned as he got out of bed. The sun’s golden light shone through the window, signaling a new afternoon.
Wait. Afternoon?
Spike looked at the clock. It read a quarter past twelve.
“Aaaah! I overslept!” he cried.
Dashing downstairs, he zoomed into the library.
“Twilight, I’m so sorry!” he exclaimed. “My alarm didn’t go off, and I….”
“Relax, Spike.” Twilight chuckled, looking over her books. “I turned off your alarm. I’m giving you the day off.”
Spike looked surprised. “The… day off? What for?”
“Oh, somepony just asked if you would be free for a picnic today.” Twilight replied with a smirk. “I figured that you could use a little leisure time. After all, all work and no play makes Spike a dull dragon!”
“But…who asked….”
“Yoohoooo!” A melodic voice filled the halls. “Spikey-wikey! Are you ready for our picnic? I made sapphire sandwiches, just for you!”
Twilight gave Spike a smile. “Well, go on!” she exclaimed. “Don’t want to keep Rarity waiting, do you?”
Spike gave Twilight a warm smile, and wrapped his arms around her neck in a quick hug.
“You’re the best, Twilight.” he said.
As he dashed out of the library, Twilight chuckled to herself. Pulling out a scroll, she began to write a letter.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Thank you.
