Shortly after the assassination of Princess Celestia a new tyrannical power takes the throne casting all of Equestria into darkness. The art of magic is strictly forbidden, and the pegasus race, all but extinguished from the skies, are forced to live out their lives as slaves on the ground with the earth ponies and ex-unicorns. But their is a fleeting hope on the rise. A unicorn by the name of Twilight Sparkle.
