Alcatraz

It was no ordinary day like today, with the sun shining, I felt as if I was at peace. But don't get me wrong, some days are gloomy, but not like this one. Wait, am I suppose to be narrating? Oh well, I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, the princess of friendship. I was turned from a unicorn to an alicorn because I showed the personalities of a princess. Of course, now I have wings and I am an alicorn.  But I might as well get back to my late night studies or write in my diary.

June 14

It was just another night, everything was silent, always at peace. Whenever I look up at the sky, I think about my friends and the memories we all shared together. I may have been a unicorn, but it's hard being an alicorn. All the flying business drives me crazy, but I'm getting the hang of it all. When I was a filly in magic kindergarten, every filly and colt made fun of me because I couldn't do any beginner spells and basic magic skills. I wanted to cry so hard, I would just want to run out of the room and never set hoof in the school again.

My mom was right, I shouldn't be thinking about the past. She always said, " Remember Twilight, the present is more important then the past. I have been away from my parents for so long, I miss them dearly. But now it's time to turn out the light, good night. I was just about to blow out the candle when I heard a swish outside. Huh, what was that?! I will continue with this tomorrow, for now I must rest after such a long day of fulfilling my duties.

Twilight Sparkle

As I got into bed, I always wondered what it was like to see the future. The future cannot just happen now, it should happen at the right moment. My friends were already in their bedrooms of the castle, all snuggled tight and comfy. But one mare of the group was still awake, my friend Rainbow Dash. That mare was extremely passionate about flying, if I were her, I would act the same way. From just next door of my bedroom, I heard the little rustle of her cerulean blue feathers take flight.

As always, before that mare fell asleep, she would go for a midnight fly before coming back to her castle dorm. When Princess Celestia said that this castle was mine, I was completely surprised at her answer. Almost everything I noticed in the castle seemed to fit my needs and without my friends here, I wouldn't be in this place now. Everything would just be a dull world without them, I would feel so lonely with no pony around.

As I was about to tuck in the covers, I had the funny feeling that I was being watched. It might be a shadow, a left over speck of dark magic, it could be anything. I shivered under my covers, then I wrapped my hooves around myself. It wasn't suppose to be this cold at night, but why? That is my question, why? I try to tuck into the warm blanket Rarity made for me, but the wind was a hurricane in the night making me shiver with fright. I looked at my thermometer, it was 59 degrees outside. What?! It was suppose to be this cold?! I thought everything would be normal as always, the temp, the weather, everything. Then it hit me, I realized that I forgot to close the window all the way, again. I roll my eyes thinking I shouldn't do something crazy like that again.
