Tale of Pone

It was a cold day in Ponyville and Twilight Sparkle had just woken up from her slumber and started cleaning her library. It took her an hour but she had finished the cleaning and the library was now worth its weight in gold. She started to trek into town to go help Applejack go find some of Fluttershys chickens who happened to be playing hide and seek with her. After finding the chickens Fluttershy put the chickens back into their pen and went along with Applejack and Twilight to meet up with Rarity, Pinkie, Spike and Rainbow at the station who where waiting for The Canterlot Express train to see a play at the Hearts Warming Eve part with Spike as the storyteller.

As the train arrived they all boarded it and it started the incline towards Canterlot Central which is the turn around point for the train. It is a hard journey for the train as it is winter in Equestria right now so the tracks where slippery noticeable by the noise of the metal of the wheels sliding along the metal tracks. Also it was possible for the trains brakes to freeze over which wouldn`t end well for any of the passengers or the train. The mane six and Spike headed to the back of the carriage of The Pony Express which had coupled to its engine two baggage cars, seven passenger cars and a single observation car at the back. The train started going up the hill towards Canterlot Mountain but soon enough a loud bang rocketed through ear holes of everypony and dragon on board before a different force flung many ponies back into their seats and into the wall. After recovering one of the guards on the carriage at the time ran down the carriage and through door disappearing probably towards the engine at the front to see what the noise was.

When the guard returned Twilight went up to him and asked him what was wrong to which he replied "The air brakes have broken off and the independent brakes have frozen." This sent the entire car in a stock silence until one pony screamed.

"We`re all going to die"

Twilight and her friends headed towards the back to look out the back and saw the train was going up the complete wrong direction. Speeding down the mountain Rainbow Climbed up the to the top of the carriage along with Twilight and saw a blue and Yellow AWVR 1206 rocketing down the mountain tracks straight for the train. As it got closer you could see it was heavily damaged with the back end completely caved in and smoke bellowing out of its sides. Coming on to the straight that the passenger train was on it began to pick up speed heading towards the main engine.

The train rocketed down the tracks and straight into the steam engine that was suppose to be pulling the passengers up the mountain. The force of the impact shook the train as a whole and nearly knocked Twilight off the roof who was saved by Rainbow. The steam train ruptured and started sending steam and fire everywhere cause the 1206 to heat up. As Twilight and Rainbow watched on in horror as the 1206 started to explode and sending pieces of flaming metal into the the passenger cars and surrounding area. All this did was speed up the run away train. The wooden passenger cars started catching on fire and Twilight and Rainbow climbed back down and into the carriage where Twilight ordered every pony to jump off of the train into the large river below as she finished her little speech she headed back down out on the carriage door.

She told her friends the plan and proceeded to jump into the river below and soon as the fire started to overcome the train so did all the other passengers jumping out of windows with foals in hooves forgetting about belongings and clothes all wanting to save their lives. Soaked and floating in the slow moving river the ponies in the river all looked up to the burning object that was once their train explode once more sending piece of metal and wood into the air. They watched as the train barrelled down the tracks to Ponyville helpless they just looked on as the mangled mess of a train rocketed down the track. None of them where going to Canterlot tonight.

In Ponyville ponies where heading inside and cleaning up stalls as suddenly a bright light enticed the onlookers into getting closer as it got brighter and brighter the ponies kept looking. The mangled Pony Express smashed off the corner straight through the Ponyville Station and slide across the dirt ground of Ponyville sliding into the middle of town leaving pieces of wreckage everywhere and causing ponies to either be frozen with fear or run in panic as far as they can. As all they knew at the time was that everypony on the train and in the station was dead and gone. Families now missing fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. Equestria now missing one of it`s only means of defence the Elements of Harmony.

From up high in the sky a single being was onlooking the destruction, the fire, the sadness and it just floated their watching the ponies down below scatter and run from the burning wreckage it floated, it watched, it laughed.
