Beauty Behind the Bully
1. Feathers and a Horn
Load Full StoryThe day was normal. Celestia's sun rose and warmed the earth and ponies below. Ponyville was very active during the summer with lots of things to do. Ponies often played and did summer jobs. Others went camping and took long days off. Rarity opened her boutique normal like every day. All week had been slow and boring. Business had been dull, nothing to do but work on summer outfits. The mare sighed and stared at her blueprints for the design she was currently working on. She lost her focus when the door bell rang. Walking up to the counter her eyes widen and her jaw dropped. Gilda, the griffon who made Fluttershy cry, was standing in her shop. before The half lion half eagle could speak Rarity spoke.
"What in Equestria are you doing in this shop." She stomped her hoof on the wooden floor. She would have continued if it was not for Gilda looking so.. gloomy. She was like before. The griffon that would stand arrogant is now looking down at the floor. The white mare's heart sunk. She stepped behind the counter and trotted up to Gilda. Tears feel onto her hoof and her heart sunk lower this time.
"My my Celestia darling whats wrong? I'm sorry if I was rude but you had it coming since your last visit." Rarity bit her lip once her last comment was said. Gilda looked up and lunged a hug at the purple mane mare.
Rarity put a hoof around the griffon's back, feeling her feathery wings at the same time.
"I-I'm so sorry Rarity.. I w-was a j-jerk." she said between her sobs. Her beak pressed against Rarity's cheek, covering it with tears and snot. Rarity decided it was a good idea to take Gilda to her room so they could talk. Getting a broken down griffon up a flight of stares was easy said than done, but she got the job done. Gilda laid on the bed of light purple, her wings spread out.
"Now darling did you just come here to apologize to everypony/" the seamstress asked quietly. Gilda didn't move, she just laid there, drowned in her own thoughts.
"I want to see Fluttershy, I did the most damage to her." Gilda finally said, killing the silence. Rarity shook her head.
"No you must calm down first, you of all creatures should know that if she sees you, she'll freak and run away." She stated coldly.
"Well I have no place to stay until I calm down." The griffon shot back. her lion's tail flickering.
Rarity sat there and though for a bit. A light bulb lit in her head that would help for the mean time.
"Why don't you stay with me? Since you came to me first. it's no worry darling just an offer." she smiled trying to lighten the mood. Gilda smiled also.
"Ok I'll stay, just on one catch."
"Umm sure anything." Rarity replied.
"Don't call me darling." With that they shook hooves on it and would start in the morning. Both of them shared a bed, which was awkward for Rarity but Gilda slept fine.
Next thing in the morning. Rarity thought before sleep took her.
