“Come on dude, you owe me.”

“No,” Anon says again.

“You really owe me.”

“No, anything but... that.”

“I don't care, I'm calling it in.”

Anon rubs his brow. They've been going back and forth for too long. “You know I like living alone.”

“Look, it's only temporary. Just keep her around until that money rolls in. Then she's gone forever.”

“Wait, her? It's a girl?”

“Yeah, maybe you could get some, huh?” He wiggles his eyebrows for effect.

“If that's the case, then why don't you keep her?”

“Well, I'm, uh, busy. With stuff.” Anon gives his friend a blank stare. “Stuff that I can't talk about. Also, she's related in this really weird legal- look, just do it. Then we're even.”

“...how long?”

“A week, tops. Just gotta wait for that paperwork to go through all the red tape.” Anon's silence makes him pester some more, “I don't know anything else that could pay off that debt.”

“Forever.”

“What?”

“If I do this, that favor is paid forever. No more using it to wiggle your way out of stuff. No more guilt trips. Deal?” For the first time since he's tried to haggle this responsibility, a look of doubt washes over. The idea of not being able to use that anymore makes him weigh the pros and cons. Anon saw this as a chance to be rid of it for life. “Well, okay, bye-”

“Okay fine deal!” As he rushes off to get the new roommate, Anon wonders what kind of person would be so bad that his weasel-of-a-pal would give up his best weapon? But a week of putting up with someone is worth the years and years of- “I don't care, just go!” The yell snaps Anon out of his thought.

Around the corner came that friend with a girl in tow, lead by pulling on her wrist. As they neared, Anon tried to piece together her looks. The light blue and white hair was easily the first noticeable thing. Poofy, wavy, flowy, like one of those shampoo commercials.
