Love is in Bloom

Big Macintosh and Rainbow Dash planned to be married within a month of the night he’d proposed to her, wanting nothing more then to be officially joined as stallion and mare. They’d bred many, many more times in the following days, her heat still constantly turning him on as they spent more and more time at their special spot or anywhere else for that matter with him on top of her, humping into her as he painted her insides white and filling her so full of his essence again and again.

Rainbow wasn't exactly complaining, though, as she was totally and thoroughly enjoying herself too. Big Mac always made sure to let her finish at least twice before he finally blew in her and pressed it in deep, with that usually making her cum a third time, all the while giving her wings very close attention as he humped into her.

As Rainbow's heat waned a couple days later with her body finally satisfied at the constant breeding it had gotten, the two now were spending less time with Mac on top of her and humping deep, and instead more time simply being together.

A couple weeks later, as she experienced the typical symptoms of morning sickness and increased appetite, Rainbow knew something was different. When she felt something occasionally moving up and down deep inside her lower belly, in her womb, she knew instinctively what her body was telling her; that she had unsurprisingly gotten pregnant by her and Big Mac's constant mating during her heat. When Big Mac took Rainbow down to the hospital to get tested after she told him she was likely pregnant, it only confirmed what she already knew – Rainbow Dash was in fact three weeks pregnant.

Neither could be happier as they eagerly anticipated the slow growth of her belly and the foal inside, and many months later the birth of their foal – their love manifested. Big Mac had nuzzled against her lower belly with a stupid smile on his face in the hospital room, only making Rainbow smile at his actions herself as she realized the gravity of the situation – she was going to have a foal with the best, most handsome stallion in Equestria!

~

Rainbow Dash was able to spend more time with Big Mac much to both of their delight. When she had told the weather patrol about her being with foal she had been temporarily dismissed from work, with the weather team wishing her their best and reliving her of her duty on maternity leave to let her avoid flying as her foal developed.

Rainbow and Big Mac wanted a low–key wedding, with only their families and best of friends invited. Rainbow Dash intended to invite her best friends personally and give each an invitation by hoof, wanting to show them that they were worth the effort of her personally presenting them with the invitation rather then depending on the mail to deliver them.

A few days after learning she was with foal, Big Mac and Rainbow headed out into Ponyville toting a covered basket with the invitations inside, with being Twilight being the first on their list of deliveries.

~

Twilight answered the knock at the door and saw Rainbow Dash standing with a covered basket thought the crack with Big Mac at her side. When Twilight opened the door fully and greeted them, Rainbow Dash greeted her back then reached into the basket, removing a gold–and–white envelope in her mouth and holding it out to Twilight. Twilight accepted it by levitating it from Rainbow’s mouth, soon after breaking the seal and reading it:

Rainbow Dash and Macintosh “Big Mac” Apple cordially invite you, Twilight Sparkle, and one guest to their wedding on the October 5th of this year at 5:00 PM sharp.

Please RSVP with either Rainbow Dash or Macintosh Apple to reserve your and/or your guest’s spot for accommodations to be provided.

Another, mouth–written portion was added after the printed invitation:

Twilight, I would like to ask for you to be one of my bridesmaids for the ceremony and Spike as the ring–bearer. Will you accept?

Twilight felt herself starting to tear up as she read, the words starting to blur on the paper as she struggled to finish it through her tears. She went and got Spike, who also teared up as he read the invitation and their request for his help for the event. Both nodded vigorously as Twilight wrapped a hoof around Rainbow Dash’s neck and gave her a hug and Spike hugged her hoof. "I'd be glad to help with your wedding, Rainbow. Congratulations!" Twilight told her long–time friend,

"A–and I will g–gladly be your r–r–ring–bearer, R–Rainbow." Spike barely sniffled out, wiping his snout with the back of his claw. Twilight then wrapped her arms around her friend's neck, with Spike also giving her a tight hug before both moved on to Big Mac, giving him a hug too as they congratulated him as well.

After Rainbow Dash and Big Mac had dismissed themselves by telling her they had more deliveries to make, Twilight and Spike went back inside and resumed her schedule–making. "Spike could you please put the wedding on our schedule? I think we'll need to move the spa trip with Rarity and me re-reading 'Common Facts About Manticores'." Spike groaned as he once again picked up the quill, muttering quietly to himself as he pulled out a fresh extra–long scroll. This was the third time that day he had to revise her schedule!

Rainbow and Big Mac's next stop was Fluttershy’s cottage. The butter–yellow pegasus, one of Rainbow Dash’s longest and closest friends, opened the door and greeted both her and Big Mac with a smile. After greetings were exchanged and some casual talk, Rainbow Dash retrieved her invitation from the basket and Fluttershy accepted the held–out invitation from Rainbow’s mouth.

When she opened the letter, Fluttershy started crying as she read the part where Rainbow Dash asked her to be her mare of honor and to help coordinate the music for her wedding. "Oh...my." Fluttershy whispered as she threw her hooves around Rainbow’s neck and squeezed uncharacteristically hard.

"I..." Fluttershy started, but her voice got choked off, instead sniffing in. After Fluttershy recomposed herself, she took a deep breath before continuing – "Rainbow, I accept your invitation – but isn't there somepony more qualified for your mare of honor? I mean..." Fluttershy stopped as she felt Rainbow wrap her in a hug.

"Fluttershy, you're one of my closest friends. We've known each other since we were fillies for pony's sake! Fluttershy, would you please honor me by being my mare of honor?" Rainbow asked, soon after feeling Fluttershy nodding, as well as a drop of wetness on her shoulder. Rainbow Dash could only hug her back as Fluttershy wept into her shoulder, smiling softly as she'd heard her say yes.

Rainbow and Big Mac stayed and discussed the wedding with Fluttershy after she'd calmed down, also providing her some music sheets of the music they wanted her to play. As she gathered her songbirds for practice, Rainbow Dash and Big Mac dismissed themselves, moving on to their next destination – a certain hyper, pink pony...

~

As Rainbow and Big Mac walked up to Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie was somehow already looking in their direction with a smile and bounced in place while she seemingly awaited their arrival. Upon seeing them, Pinkie enthusiastically waved her hoof at them and her smile widened, screaming; "I'd be glad to help with catering and the reception of your wedding!" Rainbow Dash and Big Mac stopped dead as they felt their jaws drop in total awe. Neither had even mentioned their wedding to Pinkie before, let alone their plans to have her help cater or plan the reception of it!

After giving her the invitation, Pinkie skimmed through it before asking them how many guests would be at the wedding. They went on to discuss the plans of the cake and food for the wedding, as well as meeting with the Cakes themselves to further the plans and provide advanced payment for the various treats and foods they’d were ordering. Pinke managed to fit a “congrats” in there somewhere, but it was quickly lost amidst the talk of wedding cake size and how many dozen cookies would be needed. Pinkie knew they’d heard her however, as a smile lit up both their faces as she had said it, both looking to her smiling face and slightly nodded to her as they continued to discuss the number of cupcakes to be put on each platter and the shape of the wedding cake.

Rainbow and Big Mac dismissed themselves a short while later, leaving the Cakes and Pinkie to get back to their work. As they opened the door to leave however, Pinkie suddenly jumped in from outside and nearly tackled Rainbow Dash in a hug. After she'd squeezed the stuffing out of Rainbow as she was wont to do Pinkie proceeded on into the house, leaving a very confused Rainbow Dash and Big Mac to wonder how exactly she'd gotten outside so fast in the first place.

~

Rarity was the last on their list as they proceeded to her shop, the Carousel Boutique. It was a work–day for her after all, but Rainbow was too impatient to wait until the Boutique closed. As Mac and Dash walked in, they saw that she was working on a stylish autumn-inspired day-dress as the two entered the foyer and display room. "One moment please! I just need a few more moments to finish this dress and I will be glad to speak with you!" Rarity said in a sing–song voice, one she only used when she was highly inspired.

After finishing and placing the dress on a rack a few minutes later, Rarity greeted them with a smile and was shortly after presented with her invitation. Her additional note asked her to be her final bridesmaid, to create a wedding dress for Rainbow, adding that Rainbow had absolute confidence that only she could make it 'totally awesome' for her. Rarity felt her eyes well up as she saw it. "Rainbow, I'd be honored to make your wedding dress! Oh, I could make it like your Gala dress! It could..." Rarity prattled on about the details, her creative streak quickly stroked as she looked at Rainbow and saw her in her future dress.

As Rainbow Dash held out the small pouch of Bits to Rarity as payment for the dress, Rarity instead refused them by gently pushing the pouch back with her hoof. "Darling, it would be my privilege to do this for such a close friend as yourself. I couldn’t possibly accept payment!" Rainbow Dash and Big Mac nodded, then gave their thanks for her generosity and started to head for the door, already seeing spools of thread and bolts of white fabric being levitated by Rarity's azure-blue magic, soon after being followed by the sound of a clean snip of scissors separating fabric.

As Big Mac and Rainbow left the Carousel Boutique, they realized that they had finished passing out the invitations in Ponyville, leading to the two heading back to the Apple farm to give Applejack the final remaining invitation.

As they presented the invitation to Applejack a matter of minutes later, she hugged Big Mac hard after she finished reading it. "Big bro, Ah'd be pleased as peach punch t' help with yer and Rainbow's weddin' and reception!" She'd said, quickly wrapping both Rainbow and Mac in a hug. Her note had asked for her to help with the reception, asking her to help put the finishing touches on and set out the food after the ceremony.

Applejack had left to work in the fields more after giving another congrats and hug to Rainbow, with Big Mac and Rainbow then proceeding to fill out and mail the remaining invitations to the distant Apple Family, Rainbow Dash's family, and their various other invitees. They then started to further plan their wedding – one of the most important days of their lives.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

On the day of her wedding, Rainbow Dash couldn't be any more nervous–cited. She couldn’t help but flap her wings constantly in her excitement, with her constant, slight bouncing causing some trouble as Rarity tried to fit her gown to her – so much so she'd even had to go as far as to ask her to stop so she could finish a seam.

Meanwhile, Big Mac was nervously fidgeting as his own seamstress fitted his white tuxedo top, but not quite enough to interrupt her work. He kept his excitement more under control then his soon–to–be mare’s, his many years of farming teaching him patience and self–control.

The ceremony soon after started – Big Mac standing at the top of the stairs, flanked to his right by Applejack, Braeburn, and Golden Delicious. At the other side of the altar were Fluttershy, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity – the three standing along the stairs in position as they awaited the bride. The audience was mostly constructed of the large extended family of the Apples, with many of them having to watch from outside, too many to even fit in the building. Rainbow’s side was occupied by her parents, the few friends she’d had in Cloudsdale, Pinkie Pie, and Zecora – along with Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, and Princess Cadance.

The three princesses had taken a few hours out of their busy schedules, and a long train ride in the case of Princess Cadance, to watch one of the most joyous days of not only a bearer of an Element of Harmony, but also a close friend. One who had used the Elements to save Equestria and the Crystal Empire so many times, as well as having actually helped reunite Princess Luna and Princess Celestia by purifying Luna with the Elements. Surely such feats were worth a few hours of the royalty of Equestria.

(I recommend listening to this while reading this next section.)

As the wedding theme started, Spike walked down the aisle with the two bracelets on the pillow, Mac and Rainbow having decided to use her engagement bracelet for the marriage, and Rainbow Dash having bought him a thicker gold band with small emeralds encircling a ruby on the front, symbolizing to her his eyes and body. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo soon after followed him, spreading rose petals along the main aisle.

It was one of the happiest moments of Big Mac’s life as he watched Rainbow Dash enter the main doors of the room, silhouetted against the evening sun as she stood there for a moment with her wings flared before starting to walk, always vying to be the center of attention. He watched her make her way down the aisle, spreading the rose petals slightly with the train of her white wedding dress with a stripe of rainbow fabric along either side, her cerise eyes slightly obscured by the thin white veil over her upper face. Her mouth held the bouquet of carefully selected pink and red roses, the light and sweet scent of them caressing her nose as she made her way towards her love at the alter, her soon–to–be stallion.

After Rainbow had reached the alter and they had started the ceremony, both felt their eyes starting to well up as they looked into each other’s eyes through the veil, feeling more love for each other then than ever before. As the time came for them to say their vows, Big Mac cleared his throat, then reciting the custom vows he had written and memorized; “Rainbow Dash, t’ day Ah saw you in tha’ field, Ah knew you’d been dropped fer me by an angel. As we grew closer 'n' closer, Ah knew you were meant t’ be mine an that we were destined t’ be toget’er forever. Ah’ll forever be yers Rainbow Dash, an‘ we‘ll always be family.” Rainbow Dash felt her tears start to stream down her cheeks as he finished, touched deeply by his words.

When Rainbow Dash had collected herself again, she recited her own custom vows to him; “Macintosh Apple, when you first showed your caring and kindness to me in that field, I knew we were meant to be one. As we got to know each other more, I learned your true self – that beneath your laconic surface, you were actually a deep, wonderful stallion. One I hope to spend the rest of my life with, as family. I, Rainbow Dash, will always be loyal to you, until the d–day I die.” Rainbow finished as her voice started to crack, the happy tears once again starting to flow as she met Big Mac’s eyes again.

The minister of the ceremony soon after sanctified their vows by asking if they took each other forever together, as mare and stallion. Both said “I do!” in turn as tears flowed freely down both of their faces, the minister then announcing them as mare and stallion, Mr. and Mrs. Macintosh Apple. Big Mac lifted her veil, looked into her beautiful eyes...and was surprised when she instead kissed him!

The kiss lasted only for a second, but left everyone in the audience –and even Big McIntosh himself– totally speechless. Rainbow Dash felt a burning blush develop on her cheeks. “Oops...” she said, lowering her veil again, “can we just…uh...try again?” With a chuckle from Big Mac and a shrug from the minister, Big Mac once again raised her veil. This time, he slowly lowered his muzzle to hers and softly kissed her lips – and as he did, both he and Rainbow heard the entire crowd cheering, a cacophony of joy for the new couple.

As Rainbow climbed onto Big Mac’s back and he carried her as they left the building in a tradition of good luck for the ponies, they soon after reached the carriage they’d rented for the occasion. Before they entered, Rainbow Dash flung the flower bouquet up and gave it a good smack with her wing towards the crowd for good measure. All the unmarried mares in the crowd moved towards it, but it ended up being caught by Rarity. This being the second wedding bouquet she’d caught, Rarity felt a blush cross her face as she thought about how she actually didn’t even have a special somepony yet. Maybe she should consider the matter more in the future…

~

The carriage and the rest of the guests shortly after arrived at the reception hall, the full banquet set up by the time they arrived. Applejack had galloped her way there to help after the ceremony finished, beating the crowd and carriage in order to help with the final preparations. The entire crowd watched as Rainbow and Big Mac thenafter left the carriage and walked up to the banquet hall.

They were interrupted by the quintet of Rainbow's dearest friends, all excitedly chattering and congratulating them on their marriage – with even Fluttershy getting an enthusiastic few words in! They accompanied Mac and Rainbow to the banquet hall, blending into the crowd once they entered the building, letting the new couple alone head to the main banquet table with their wedding cake.

The happy new couple arrived at the wedding cake, and together they made the first cut to a great cheer from the crowd. They fed each other a piece of cake and Rainbow giggled as she rubbed some frosting on Big Mac's nose, earning her a roll of his eyes at such a cliched gesture. They then heard repeated tings of a fork on a glass, looking up to see Applejack. "'Scuse me everypony, but Ah jus' wanted t' wish Mac 'n' Rainbow here an eternally happy marriage. Yeehaw!" An uproarious cheer was given from all Apple family members in kind, making Big Mac and Rainbow blush slightly as they watched everypony take a drink in their honor.

Rainbow and Big Mac then made their way to the dance floor as Rainbow nearly dragged Big Mac there, eager for their first dance as mare and stallion. Soon after they and the other guests arrived around the dance floor, the music started and both began their slow first dance together. Their lives could not be any better as they slowly moved with each other to the leisurely melody, feeling themselves rub against each other to the soft beat of the music.
