The Lonely Star

The screams of fear and agony cried through the air. The skies were blood red as smoke came up from the earth. Cities crumbled as the mighty earthquakes move. The world was ending as they know it, and the people were getting killed. Children and adults fell through the cracks and fell to the earths core, disintegrating as they came to the outer core. One baby was crying as the the earth beneath him was about to open, but before it opened fully, a male, his father, grabbed him, and a woman, his mother, was running behind him. The couple ran through the streets as the cracks opened pursuing them. The couple came up to a crumbled building. As the ran in they see a set of opened pods, ready to be used. The father placed the baby in carefully into the opened pod. He then pressed the red button, causing the pod to close. The mother hugged his husband as they see their only child, about to take off. The pod then took off, leaving the two behind. The couple saw the pod as it went off to space. Tears were streaming down their eyes as they saw the world beneath them glow red. The man looked up again.

"You are destined for greatness." he whispered.

The baby was crying, scared and terrified out of his mind. As the pod made it out of the world, Planet Earth exploded.

4 days later

It was a beautiful night in the city of Fillydelphia. The crickets were chirping, and the starts were shinning. The local residents in the city were fast asleep. Far from the city in the middle of a field, there was an orphanage, and the owner of that orphanage was named Mrs. Bee. She was a yellow coated unicorn with a black main. Her cutie mark was a bee.

She was sweeping the door step with a broom using her magic. While she was sweeping something caught her eye. She looked up and saw a lonely star streaking through the sky. She smiled, and continued grooming. But she didn't realize that the star was coming towards the field. A low rumbling sound was heard. Her head bolted as she saw the star closer that ever. Mrs. Bee dropped the broom, and ran inside, warning all the kids too take cover. A few seconds later a loud explosion was heard.

BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!

A few seconds later she lifted up her head, shaking. There was a small crater in the middle of the field. The door opened, and her head poked out. She decided to investigate. Her whole body then came out the door, and she walked towards the crater. She walked cautiously through the field, making sure not to step on any debris. There was a faint glow coming from the center of the crater, so she slowed her pace. Once she arrived at the small crater, her mouth hung.

In the middle of the crater there was a small white object with dents on it, and there was a faint blue glow coming from the inside. Mrs. Bee hesitated for a while thinking she should go down their, or leave it there. She made up her mind and went towards it. Bee walked towards the ball. Her heart raced, and beads of sweat came down her forehead. She stopped directly in front of the object. Her then slowly reached for it.

PSHHHHHHHHHH!

The object then opened, causing her to jump in fear. She then cowered, begging the creature not to eat her.

"Please don't eat me! I don't taste good with onions! she begged.

Silence.

Instead of a ferocious roar, she heard a tiny sneeze. She lifted her head, and saw not only a monster, but a baby foal curled up in a ball, sleeping. It's head lifted up, revealing an adorable face. It had a navy blue coat, a navy blue mane with a dark yellow streak, and dark yellow eyes. It sneezed again, but when it sneezed it's wings popped out. It was a pegasus pony foal.

"'What are you doing in this thing little one?" she asked.

The foal responded sneezing again.

"Oh! You must be cold! Here, let me take you inside."

She then used her magic to lift up the foal, and place it on her back. It then fell asleep.

Mrs. Bee smiled at the adorable sight. She walked back to the orphanage with the foal, but she was still wondering why that foal was in there. She then had a terrible thought in her mind as what it actually looked liked. Her head shook erasing the thought. A few minutes later she finally arrived at the orphanage.

"Kids! I've brought a new pony!" she announced.

All of a sudden she was surrounded by fillies and colts, asking questions.

"What is it!?"

"Can I see it?!"

"I wanna touch it!"

She then shushed the kids, causing them to sit on their flanks.

"Ok, here he is." she said.

She then used her magic to levitate the foal off her back, and in front of her and the colts and fillies.

"Awwwwww!!"

The foal was curled up in a ball sleeping.

"Who is it?" one of them asked.

She then thought of a name for him. She finally found the perfect name for him.

"Well?!" they all asked impatiently.

She then looked at the foal again, and smiled.

"Lone Star."
