Nightmare Stalker has grown up in a family that seems to be inexplicably cursed to bad luck and misfortune. The unfortunate Stalkers have been forced to make due in the secretive and shifty world of Canterlot's underbelly, gaining their money in ways far outside Equestrian law.

However bad things may seem now, it's about to get worse, for the sleazy bloodline never catches a break, and are attacked in their home by an unseen entity bent on their death. Forced to flee, Nightmare must now take up arms against the relatives and friends of the monster that ravaged the only place she could ever feel was hers.
