Applejack demanded an explanation from Big Macintosh as to why Fluttershy was being made to sing in a surprisingly lower tenor than usual behind the scenes.

But that would have involved a lot of effort to speak on Macintosh's part, so Applejack decided to just try and piece it together.

So, ya wanted to do turkey calls?
Well, whoop-dee-doo!
Cause your barnyard noises almost cost the Pony Tones quartet crew!
And ya had to fix your singing chorus
So ya went down to Zecora's
To go get a potion
Some sorta soothin' lotion, something to chug down or just to sup,
Does that just about sum it up?

Then what happened next, it didn't come quick enough?
And so you needed to think of more drastic stuff?
Some Poison Joke flowers
That lasted for hours
For Flutterguy's powers?

Ain't sayin' one last "Nope" and Ah say it's true,
We pulled in Fluttershy to fill up the crew
We were short a singer
She were scared to sing too,
We said one last "Nope" and we put her through

Pulled a shill on Ponyville?
But ya reckon yer better now?
Here Ah am about ta sum up all that to the letter now!

It started with turkey calls, then Zecora's hut
She then offered to make a potion fer you but
You then made Flutterguy
To get set by tonight
And now ya feel alright?
...Corn's sake. Now that's more like it!

She was yer one last shot and yer last showboat?
Despite her stage fright, she done sing all the notes?
Ah just can't imagine...
She'd fall down and cry!
