Chapter 1: The Fun Begins
Fallen glass, a crash on the floor, a shadow disappears without none to notice it. Hoof steps to the commotion a uproar rises, son and mother come to conflict. "How many times have I told you not to fool around with your friends around my glass vases. Now one lies shattered in a dozen pieces on the ground." Armor's Mother shouted.
"But it wasn't me or the guys, there all out of town." Armor protested.
"No buts, I don't want to hear it Armor, now march yourself up to your room and we'll discus your punishment later." Armor's mother announced. Breaking eye contact with his Mother he lowered his head in defeat and made his way up to his room.
Up stairs in his room Armor dwelled wondering who and why did someone break his Mom's vase. "This is ridiculous, I didn't break that stupid vase so then who did?" Armor questioned himself. It couldn't be any of the guys they're all out of town visiting family for Christmas. Pacing around his bedroom Armor was in deep thought trying to think up who could possibly have done it. When he heard a knock outside of his 2nd story bedroom window. "What's that" Armor said before going over to the window and opening it up to investigate the manner to find a figure was floating outside of his window. It dressed in a blue fuzzy robe, pajama pants and a black fedora upon his head. It was none other than the mischievous Mischief of the night.
His name really describe it all. Mischief goes around at night and messes with ponies without any regard to what will accrue with the actions he pulls upon them. Most of the time it's just pity jokes and pranks but recently he's been upping his game. He's wanted by the royal guard for reasons unknown. "What do you want Mischief?" Armor asked with a firm voice.
" I just wanted to see what all the commotion was about " he answered.
"I got in trouble for breaking my Mom's vase... I mean someone else did and I got blamed for it ."
Deep laughter escaped from Mischief while Armor stood there not amused by his performance. Mischief then got close and lightly nudged Armor with his elbow and spoke. "You need to lighten up a bit Armor, how's about you join me for some midnight fun in town?"
Armor thought for a moment before giving him his answer. "Fun with you no thanks, I don't waste my time with nobodies."
Mischief just laughed that off. " A rude one you are but come on Armor it's not like it's going to kill you to have some fun in life unless you prefer sitting in your room bored."
Armor was hesitant but realize going to town with him could be interesting. "Count me in, just this once."
A grin appeared on Mischief's face as Armor jumped out of the window and used a levitation spell to get to the ground, from there they spring into the night together to engage upon the fun.
From her bedroom window Little Twilight half asleep watched her big brother jump from his window down to ground level and run off into the night with a shadowy figure." I wonder where bbbff is going?" Twilight thought before slipping into a dream.
As the two of them ran hiding in the shadows towards an unknown location, at least not known by the one.
"So this fun you mentioned, where are we going and what are we doing?" Armor questioned.
"Are you familiar with the Canterlot sculpture garden?" Mischief asked.
"Not really... I've been there a time or two for a field trip" Armor replied.
"Well I guess this will make it your 2nd or third time, as for what we are doing there surprises are always served best when it's a surprise haha" Mischief Muttered. Armor didn't like the sound of the laughter Mischief was projecting from the thought of whatever the surprise was but continued on.
On arrival to the Caterlot sculpture garden the two had almost gotten caught twice by royal guards cause to get to the garden first you have to get through the castle. The first was when Mischief jokingly pushed Armor into a table that fell over breaking a flower vase on top of it causing a loud commotion to accrue between the two of them which caused them both to flee into a supply closet as two royal guards came there way. As for the 2nd time Mischief thought it would be funny to mess with the castle staff a little bit and drew all over the castle walls with a red crayon. A Maid walked by and on seeing a blood red nightmare moon fainted. Her body lying there alerted the royal guards which cause the two to once again hide in a supply closet.
"Alright lets get started" Mischief pointed to a statue of Celestia and extended his hand outwards towards Armor holding out a spray paint can to him. Armor looked at the spray paint and started having 2nd thoughts about this whole thing. If caught with Mischief in the sculpture garden after hours for trespassing he would get in serious trouble but then on top of that spray painting a statue of Celestia the ruler of Equestria that's just-. Armor's thoughts were interrupted by Mischief speaking "Are you going to grab it or just stand there all night looking at it?" Snapped back into reality Armor grabbed the can and started spray painting Celestia's statue. When they were finished with there masterpiece you would not recognize it as Celestia anymore it now looked as a circus clown.
"Very nice work, Armor" Mischief said giving him a pat on the back.
Armor was about to say something when he noticed that a lot of the Statues in the garden were covered by tarps. "Hey, do you know why there are so many statues covered?"
Mischief grinned then answered. " Oh thank you for noticing some of my previous works of art, you know working with permanent paint it is so very difficult to remove seeing that it is permanent."
After hearing what he just said Armor grabbed one of the spray can's and read what it had to say. Enchanted Permanent Paint the warning label read WARNING: All objects that come into contacted with this paint will be permanently scared with that color. " OMC! (Oh My Celestia)" Armor had paint all over himself. Seeing Armor's expression on his face brought Mischief to break into laughter. " You should look at your face it's priceless."
Armor was in no joking mood and shouted. "You think this is funny, I'm going to have pink and blue blotches of paint all over my body forever!" Mischief stopped laughing and got serious for a moment, he wasn't going to have Armor screw up his whole plan just to get caught because of his big mouth. He held a can of paint up to Armors face and pointed out another label to him that read. Excluding skin, hooves and fur. Armor had, had enough of this and said "I'm going home Mischief, I've had enough of your games for a life time" turned and made his way back to the castle.
"Now let me ask you something Armor. Everyone knows me as a loner so why did I so happen to bring you along into this?"
Armor stopped and turned around to face him. " Why is it you brought me here?" Armor asked.
"Do you know who sculpted all these statues?" Mischief asked. Silence from Armor told him he didn't know."Michelangelo Brony sculpted them nearly 500 years ago. Their priceless artifacts with permanent paint all over them and to whom ever did this deed will have a serious price to pay."
Armor turned back and started walking again "not my problem" he replied.
Only to have Mischief replied back "that's where your wrong." Causing Armor to stop and wait for what he had to say next. "The royal guards believe that it is I that did this deed but have no proof to the matter, you're here to take the fall for me."
"Like hell I am" Armor said before lighting up his horn and firing a blast of energy at Mischief.
Mischief grinned and evaded the blast causing it to hit the statue that he was standing in front of. The statue crashed to the ground and the blast was heard throughout the entire castle which sounded the alarm.
"That wasn't very smart now was it?" Mischief said before dodging another one of Armor's energy blasts.
"Shut up!" Armor shouted at him. A minute went by in a flash while the two played shoot and miss.
"You know your quite funny Armor cause all your doing is wasting energy on me and causing even more damage to the garden then I originally had." Armor stopped to assess the situation. Every blast he shot at Mischief he was standing in front of a statue that would be hit with the blast every time he dodged. What he spoke was true, looking all around the statues in the garden were either on the ground or just left shattered all over the place. This hesitation allowed Mischief to give Armor the slip leaving him for the royal guards.
Mischief hid in the shadows laughing silently to himself while watching the royal guards surround Armor. There had to be 50 guards in the sky and like over 70 on the ground. A little over kill if you ask me Mischief thought to himself. Armor was completely exhausted he had used to much of his magic and fell to the ground. The elite unicorn squad came forth and place him into a magical barrier then carried him off. " THERE MAY BE MORE THEN ONE HOSTILE FAN OUT AND SEARCH" One of the elite guards shouted to the rest of the force which they immediately took action. Mischief knew it was time to leave and danced happily while laughing into the darkness. His plans going much better then what he had hoped for. Armor on the other hand would have a lot of explaining to do when he wakes up to this mess.
Those who put themselves 1st will always hurt in the end...
