A Shadow from Light (Dis and Void)
Disharmony smiled as he walked home, humming to himself while trying to surpress a gleeful grin. "Can't wait to show my family my new trick." Disharmony said more to himself then to anything, or anybody who may have been watching. As Dis reached the edge of the village he noted the rather strange silence that stayed over his home like fog suffocating light. "U-uh H-hel-lo anybody home?" Dis called out hoping to find somebody. Dis continued to walk throughout the eerily quiet town, before looking up with alarm noting what sounded like a rather weak roar coming from an area just outside the village. Dis stood there shocked looking down at a corpse hacked up beyond recgonition.
"See, didn't I tell you that thcavewas one left?" One guard in bright gold armor whispered, watching the young dragon-like creature look at the corpse. "That you did Pierce, that you did, so do you want to have the honors?" "No, no, you can have the honors, sir" As the two guards sat there discussing what to do they failed to notice that their shadows were reaching out for them. "Honor? Hah! What do royal guards who attack the weak know about honor?" A cold creul voice said, coming from behind them, only a small flash of emerald green showing from the shadows. "Stop, who goes there!" Pierce commanded, unsheathing his sword with magic. "I go by many names," the voice replied, a strange gleeful tone buried somewhere in it. "Yet you may call me, Void the Impaler."
Void chuckled from the shadows as both guards are lifted up by their own shadows, being influenced by his magic. "Send my regards to Celestia." Void said, as he smashed both guards into the ground breaking both of their rear hooves, before turning away heading towards the child. "Hello little one." Void said, slowly reaching down to pick up Dis. Dis whimpered and edged away "P-please d-don't hurt m-me." Dis said suppressing the urge to curl up and cry. "Hurt you? Why would I do that?" Void said picking the young dragon up with ease, horn glowing with it's normal black hue disappearing through the shadows.
"W-where are we?" Dis asked, half wishing not to know. "Your new home child." Void said, setting the child down in an old cave. "At least, until I find someone to give you to, or some use for you." Dis shivered in the cold cave, "I want to go home!" The young dragon half growled, red eyes getting a slight shine. "This is your home now, and don't you get any crazy ideas to wander off to get back to your doomed village." Dis sighed throwing himself on the ground crying freely. "Oh shut it you oversized lizard abomination." Void said, eyes twitching slightly.
