//-------------------------------------------------------// The Seasons -by Fluttershy and Manticore- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Bringing Him Back //-------------------------------------------------------// Bringing Him Back   It was a nice day in Twilight's kingdom all of her best friends were at home relaxing. A purple maned alicorn was dusting her collection of books when a book fell from the shelves. She turned it over and gasped it was her long lost book of StarSwirl the Bearded. Everything about him was in this book. "I guess I could take a break from dusting my books and read a good story." Twilight Sparkle's horn lit up as she turned to the first page. StarSwirl the Bearded was a very wise pony. He created the elements of harmony and raised the princesses as he taught them the most advance magic known to stallions. StarSwirl was more than a regular unicorn but an advanced unicorn worthy of becoming an alicorn. But StarSwirl the bearded has trained four alicorns before, these alicorns were no ordinary alicorns they controlled the seasons. Their locations are unknown and only a few ponies know they exist. Twilight stopped before she read anymore, she levitated some books off the shelf relative to the seasons but none if them had any information about the four alicorns   She looked at the book down at her hooves and thought to herself. I need to read on to find out. She read on and left off where she stopped. StarSwirl the Bearded's work has been honored all over Equestria. But one day a chaos lord was born, unforgiven by the princesses he turned evil and locked their most valued pony into a prison of chaos. Twilight Sparkle stopped reading and closed the book. "A prison of chaos?" Twilight thought to herself about all the memories she had of discord's rain of chaos. She thought over and over until she had an idea. "The windows the glass stained windows in princess Celestia's and princess Luna's castle!" She said aloud. She quickly wrote a letter about her discovery and sent it to princess Celestia. A gentle woosh came out of no where as a letter was pushed onto her muzzle. Dear princess Twilight, I have decided to let you visit the castle so that you may try to free StarSwirl. He is a great friend of mine and we never had the magic or the time to try and free him.   "Perfect!" Twilight's voice echoed throughout the kingdom as it bounced off the crystal walls. Twilight quickly packed and threw quills, parchment, and books about the seasons and StarSwirl. She galloped out the door as the door closed behind her with a slam. She ran towards the ticket booth for a ticket. "Excuse me sir do you have anymore tickets for Canterlot?" Twilight asked politely, they were normally out of Canterlot tickets during the weekend like this one.  He immediately saw her wings and looked puzzled.   "Uh, mam you are aware you are a princess, right?" He questioned her.   "Yes I am aware of that now how much is the ticket?" Twilight replied. The stallion looked puzzled and explained.   "Any princess is permitted to ride the train for free." The grey stallion replied. He then gave her a free ticket as a very fancy train pulled up.   "All aboard Canterlot!" A loud voice called from the front of the train. Twilight boarded the train as ponies jumped up and bowed.   "Princess Twilight Sparkle!" A pony screamed from the crowd. Twilight then sunk down in her seat as the train began to move. By the time they were halfway there night had fallen and everyone was instructed to go to the box car with the beds in it and sleep. Twilight chose the top bunk and say there staring at the golden flame.   "Maybe I should read a book while I have the time." Twilight Sparkle eased over to the lamp and levitated a book about the seasons. Once upon a time a long time ago three rulers from different tribes cared not for other tribes but only for their tribe. The pegasus operated the weather and in exchange they wanted food. Food could only be grown by the earth ponies. Unicorns also wanted the share of food the earth ponies grew and the earth ponies had little to eat. One day a blizzard fell upon their land and the leaders decided to meet and decide what to do about the snow. When they met up they fell into an argument. They blamed one another for the blizzard and decided to find new land.   Twilight yawned and stretched she then plopped down on her pillow and blew out the lantern. She then fell into a deep sleep.   "Twilight, wake up!" A young filly said as she poked Twilight with her hoof. Twilight groaned and opened her eyes.   "Where am I? Are we here?" Twilight looked around as the train came to a stop. She quickly levitated her book into her saddle bag and jumped out of bed. She quickly exited the train into the large crowd and finally found her way out. She trotted off the platform and reached into her saddlebag. Twilight clenched the letter princess Celestia had sent to her. Twilight always knew princess Celestia would doubt her crazy ideas, especially about famous unicorns from the past. Twilight shook her head trying to flee of the negative thoughts. She levitated an apple from the fruit stand next to her and dropped some bits on the wooden desk the cashier was sitting at. Twilight shined the apple with a napkin and took a bit out of it. "Taste just like sweet apple acres." Twilight took another bite and treasured the sweet juices trickling down her muzzle. Twilight quickly looked up and spotted the familar red stallion. It was Big Macintosh, he is the older brother of Applejack, the elment of honesty. Big Macintosh looked up from his apples, "Oh hi Twilight, I wasnt expecting you to cross by." Big Macintosh picked up one of Granny Smith's apple pies. He bit into it and chewed it silently. "Yeah, uh the princess wanted me to, uh, stop by?" Twilight said, trying to avoid any questions about why she was really here. Big Macintosh looked at Twilight with curiousity and shook his head.
